Laguno was a pleasant surprise, well located, across from Jollibee and the Moalbal open-air cinema, a pleasant, organized, clean place with very dedicated staff who are willing to help, especially with tourist questions. I stayed for 9 days in total and I recommend it to all my friends who are going to Moalboal.

The only thing that bothered me was that the toilet paper was never replenished properly. Every time I went to the bathroom I had to get it from the front desk. Ideally, a roll should be left with each guest to avoid this type of situation. Another thing is that the bathroom would always get wet after guests took a shower. Another tip is to put a squeegee to wipe away the water. This would help keep the bathroom dry after showering. This is very common in Brazil.

The lady who runs the hostel (I think her name is Maria) was so nice and gave me lots of helpful information and tips. The room was clean and had air conditioning. A towel was provided. There are lockers available. Free drinking water and instant coffee. You can use the kitchen. There is lots cheap food nearby, including several bakeries, a Jollibee, street food, etc. The hostel is located right across the street from the bus stop (buses going to Cebu City or south towards Inambakan Falls and Bato). Wifi worked well. Calm and friendly atmosphere, other guests were pleasant. They cleaned the bathroom regularly.

It's located far from the beaches and the main tourist area (about a 50 minute walk to the tourist area where you can snorkel, etc). No privacy curtains on the beds, although the dorm was small so it didn't feel like much of an issue. The air conditioning was so cold and it blew directly on my bed (top bunk) so I got sick after staying here (I tried turning it down but a guy in my dorm would always set it to the coldest setting).

It’s in the center of the town, miss Maria arranged everything for our group and she did it great , a van pick up us in cebu airport thanks to our driver Victor(hope the name I remember right ✌🏻😂) we arrived late at the hostel miss Maria did arrange sardines run and other stuff for our first day instead of Oslob ( that is my first plan) im glad she changed it, because of that we enjoy more the oslob and canyoneering the second day. Shout out also to father and son who guide us in sardines run they are very gentle and good and great photo&videographer 👍🏼. Also to our guide in our canyoneering from Jimmy’s travels and tour at badian-alegria canyoneering they are very caring and good we highly recommend them, tour guide in this place is an asset to the place compare to what we got in elnido good job guys👍🏼( no hate just base on our experience) Laguro is basic place but it’s satisfy us miss maria is on it .

The hostel is in a really good location, with the public bus dropping you off opposite. The rooms were a decent size, bathroom was clean. The beds were comfortable too. The lady at reception - Maria - was really lovely and helpful with all the questions we had. You can book tours through the reception too and there’s free refillable water.

I thought the shower could’ve benefitted from a few hooks to hang everything up, and personally I would have liked a curtain on the bed for privacy, but that’s personal preference. There was quite a lot of ants crawling in and around my bed, and was bitten a few times by them :( but it is the Philippines so ants are to be expected.

I would highly recommend this hostel to other travellers. The property is being managed by their owners and they are great (thanks Maria!). They are always open to answer any questions you may have and also help plan your trip if you want to. Facilities are cleaned regularly. Dorms have silent aircon and are clean too. Beds are comfortable.

The location is ok. The hostel is one minute away from the bus stop, but you’ll have to jump to a scooter to get to the area where the main restaurants/bars are (5 mins drive though).

Maria and Juan are amazing hosts! They have great tips for places to see and eat. Very helpful with arranging our canyoneering trip. We rented a scooter for very reasonable price from them as well. We had a double room with airconditioning. Room was basic but value for money. Room and toilet/shower facilities were always very clean. You can use the kitchen and fridge as well. WiFi in most parts of the hostel. Maria and Juan even surprised my partner with a birthday cake, which was very much appreciated and delicious! The hostel is in the center and not on the beach but this was great for us. The scooter gets you to the tourist area on the beach within 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

Nothing, everything was good.

Great price for the quality you get! Everything is clean incredibly friendly and helpful staff who were happy to give any tips and book the tours. Also close to the bus terminal which is a nice addition. They also rent out motorbikes for guests for the best price in the area P350 per 24 hours. I first booked for 1 night only but ended up staying for 4 nights!

No lockers in room, but they are happy to keep valuables somewhere safe still.

The Host is just amazing! She helps you with everything, gives you Tipps how to get around or how to get to other destinations. The hostel is more in the local area I would say. So a little away from all the other tourists. Would highly recommend the hostel!

Because it is not in the most touristic area you have to get a motorbike to get to the snorkeling spots or white beach e.g. but there are still lots of restaurants etc around
