The pool & spa were excellent - good size & super clean. The accommodation was excellent too -suite was clean and particularly well designed for the traveller - space and racks for luggage, comfortable bed, bathroom/toilet area was spacious whereas in most other accommodation we had in the Phils, the bathroom/toilet areas were not comfortable and extremely cramped. Location was great for us - not in a busy area or close to noise yet close enough to see the nearby sights.

The restaurant was not up to scratch. It was nicely and cleanly set but wholly lacking in atmosphere - extremely quiet so that you could hear every word of the next table's conversation. It would greatly benefit from some background music. Breakfasts were okay but dinner - no. We went to the restaurant for dinner twice - the second time, only out of necessity. We waited 50 minutes each time after ordering. We knew to take a book on the second occasion. Unfortunately for us, apparently the chef was ill while we stayed and his/her replacement left a lot to be desired. The food was just edible except for the Chop Suey style vegetable dish that we just couldn't bring ourselves to eat at all. I hope the food has improved.

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff could not have been nicer. The setting was a little square of paradise, designed and built by someone with a real flair for what looks good and what doesn't. We wanted extra pillows. No problem. We wanted to rent a scooter. No problem. We needed umbrellas on a rainy day. No problem. Whatever we asked for, it was delivered without fuss, with a genuine smile, and with a huge interest in us enjoying our stay. They even took us to the airport, although they had to almost drag me out of the place. Of all the hotels we stayed at over our four weeks, the Blue Planet was the most beautiful. We stayed in a five star hotel on the Boracay seafront, so this isn't faint praise.

There was one thing that I hated, and it was that we had to leave. I found the Blue Planet to be inspirational. I'm coming back to the Philippines one day soon, to build a copycat hotel. If I could make it anyway close to the Blue Planet, I know I'll have done a great job.

It's our second time to visit Bohol. We initially booked the same hotel in Tagbilaran when we visited the first time, Thanks that the airport is now in Panglao, we had to let go of our original booking and ended up here in Blue Planet. It was the best decision we made! First impression was that it was very clean. Kimberly greeted us with so much gusto that we forgot about our inconvenience that our flight was delayed 3 hours! She was able to accommodate our questions. We had our welcome drink and was escorted to our room. (It was a plus that they have motorbikes for rent too :) The room smelled so good and fresh. The bathroom as well! All rooms have view of the pool with jacuzzi. I think max is 6ft for the pool. Their restaurant is small but very homey. It's alright since Blue Planet is not a crowded place to stay.They have limited menu but food is sooo tasty! Their free breakfast has choice of Filipino, American, Continental or Fruit bowl. They serve beer (yay!).. Service always come with a smile. The best part I think was the time we arrived late and their restaurant was closed. Rose (I think was her name, so sorry..help in pizza delivery-- the best! They can fetch you at the airport and vice versa. The owners are very friendly - I see where their staff culture is coming from! Happy bosses = happy staff! Everything was perfect! The power outage we experience on our 2nd day was dealt with accordingly. They do have a generator that conked up every now and then in the evening, but the staff was so empathetic and polite, that you'll not mind it at all. Nothing like a good pizza and cold beer can fix!! :)

This is probably the nicest place I stayed in the Philippines (except a high end resort in Mactan, but that's a different category). I believe it's less than 10 rooms. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is great. Every room opens on the pool and has its own lounge chairs. The Belgian owner really takes the time to chat with the guests, which is nice. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was good. Staff is very nice and can help organise some trips around. The resort is in a very quiet area, away from the buzz of the beach, but still close enough with a short tricycle ride.

Secluded from tourist strip, yet only 5 minutes away from it. Beautiful quaint hotel property with a nice layout. Very clean and modern. The bathroom was immaculate as was the rest of the room. Plenty of space for two and a cool little open shelf space for luggage and things in the corner of the room (with a safe). The pool was within 20 feet of my room with my own lounging area. There was also a cool shower near the pool. Beds and pillows were comfy and clean. New style tile floors were nice. The room smelled wonderful throughout my stay. No traffic or drunk people noise, just birds and faint rooster calls in the morning. Staff was always available and helpful. They were all very sweet and greeted guests every time. They provided moped rentals on site and facilitated the exchange within 20 minutes when I traded it the next day due to weak brakes. They also had 1 day turnaround laundry service drop off at the front desk and free airport shuttle. There was a restaurant on site, but I ate out with friends. also, looks like a Nuat Thai massage place is opening within steps of the hotel. super convenient. If there was one negative, it was the small refrigerator in the room. It wasn’t cold enough and it had a glass door with a bright light. I had to cover the door with a chair, as it would be too bright for me to fall asleep. Aside from that, I would definitely enjoy staying here, again.

situated in a little quite street in panglao this hotel is a great little place to stay. The staff are amazing and very helpful in booking tours and activities for you. If you need a tricycle or car the staff will help you no problem. My wife and I also met the owners of Blue Planet. They were both so friendly and had a great chat with them. if your looking for a place to stay away from the crazy busy touristy Alona Beach area, we definitely recommend Blue Planet.

The walls are paper thin could do with some sound proofing to the rooms. We could hear our neighbours conversations and any noise they were making. On our first night I couldn’t sleep because I could hear them talking. If you need to be up early in the morning bring some ear plugs.

All of the staff was tremendous - very responsive to your needs and requests, from security guards to front desk, restaurant and kitchen staff. The food (breakfast, lunch or dinner) was outstanding - delicious, authentic, and well prepared.

- The bed was a little on the hard side - I woke up with sore shoulders a couple of times. - Location! Location! Location! This is completely depending on your preference. If you like to be away from crowds (and even feeling isolated), then this place is for you. It is in the middle of nowhere, far from the crowds (and tourists) in Alona beach. Perfect for couples who seek privacy. As a lone traveler, however, I would have liked the crowds and the beach vibe a little more.

Room - same as what you see in the photos. Spacious, clean and well thought of. Aircon and tv are working well. Water supply and pressure are not a problem. Facilities - they have a nice pool. Restaurant - i looove their pasta. Food served seems to taste much better than the restaurants outside. Staff - accommodating and courteous. They are easy to transact with. Location - near airport. Thanks Ms Melody and team for ensuring we would enjoy our stay in your beautiful hotel. We appreciate how you served us 🙂

Not really dislikes but more of suggestions: - have more pillows. It would be great to have at least 2 pillows per person. - have an area to hang clothes in the cabinet.

Location: The hotel is located next to the Panglao airport which makes the travel very short to the airport. Facility: The room and the facility overall exceeded our expectations. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Nice pool to swim and restaurant corner to eat. Breakfast: Breakfast was better than the average hotel food (cooked by in-house chef). Service: When the guests of the neighbouring room made too much noise in the night, the issue was quickly solved and managed by transferring us to another room. Bike rental was made very uncomplicated and when we had small damage, the bike was replaced. Overall service was excellent. Very friendly and professional staff and owners. Will definitely come back if we are in Panglao. Big thank you for the great service from the staff!

The staff was great, and so was the food. It's a cozy more quiet type place, with a beautiful pool.

The blanket in the room is like a half blanket, and thin. I had them give me two extra of these. I am used to having a full sized blanket cover the entire bed. It can be thin, but have extras that you can give me. I guess this is climate related, as it never got cold there. I am from NY, and psychologically need a few full sized blankets for when i sleep. It can make my sleep rougher, if I do not have this.
