it was in the centre of a small fishing village surrounded by good places to eat with friendly locals . staff were always real helpful nothing was too much trouble.

rooms were a little small and not enough storage.

The hotel was peaceful and quiet, even though there was plenty of life outside with various restaurants and bars. The pool space on the roof was perfect for catching some sun - the pool was a bit chilly and caused a sharp intake of breath when getting in, but that’s only to be expected at this time of year! The staff were all super helpful, including the cleaning staff who took care of us and kept us stocked up with room essentials during our stay.

Not much to be fair, and nothing that would stop us from staying again. Depending on what you’re looking for, the vicinity could be a little quiet in terms of things to do, but we arranged a few trips around the island and also travelled into Funchal a few times for a change of scenery. That’s not really a negative about the hotel, which was located in a perfect place in Camara de lobos. It would be good to have some covers over the breakfast items as there were flies around, but that’s very minor in the big scheme of things.

Ambiente of the whole hotel is great, it really classifies as a boutique hotel, pool has a nice view and is clean and Billard can be played for free. Staff was very nice, in general would recommend going there

Breakfast is fine, sometimes it misses a bit the detail (no knife for the cake, only hardboiled eggs..), coffee was really a disappointment, after trying twice I avoided it for the rest of the stay. Hotel has no parking but offers collaboration with 2 local sites, but 7,50€ per day instead of 4,50€ if you pay per day directly at the parkinggarage is way to expensive in my eyes (however as a plus they tell you both prices). On the weekend music can get really loud, however in our case this was only 1/9 nights, so okay

We decided to spend our 10-day stay at Madeira at Pestana Fisherman. Location is very good - Camara de Lobos is a calm village but for people looking for some night activities Funchal is just next to it. The reception upon our arrival was fantastic and here is the biggest plus of the hotel - the personnel! People are very kind, helpful (special thank you to 2 wonderful women who helped us with renting a car and some other requests as well). Always polite, smiling and eager to help! The hotel itself is a small, 2-floor boutique hotel. The rooms weren't big but we expected that when we were making reservation. Madeira is a place to explore so our room was mainly to get some sleep and rest for the last 2 days of our stay. The bed was comfy, A/C was working very well. Some people have issues that it is noisy from the street. With your window open - yes but when it is closed - quiet as it should be. The pool on the roof is small bo totally enough to enjoy it on a hot, sunny day.

Just one small issue - the breakfast. It is a great idea to enjoy it all around the hotel facilities (there is no one "restaurant space" so you may sit in the lobby or next to a fountain on the other side) however for the next 10 consecutive days it was always the same stuff and the choice of food was quite small - a few fresh fruits, 2 kind of ham and cheese, boiled eggs and some bread and pastries. Other than that - fantastic!

The staff were incredibly nice. The property had several nice areas outdoors, including a reasonably sized rooftop pool. The hotel rooms were fairly standard, clean, nicely decorated, and with a nice bathroom. There were no issues with noise from the outside street due to well isolated windows. The breakfast included a decent selection of fresh and tasteful food. The location of the hotel is within a small, cozy village with plenty of options for food and drinks.

The double bed is two single beds pushed together, and sleeping in the middle might just leave you inbetween on the floor.

This hotel is so beautiful, even better than the pictures here. The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s really close to the small port and you can go for a beautiful walk every night. The staff is amazing and helpful, they always helped us at the reception and answered all the questions we had. The cleaning staff also did amazing job every time they cleaned our room. The room was beautiful and very modern, however our room was on the first floor and looking out on the street, so we didn’t really have a nice view. The beds were really comfortable and it was quiet every night. The breakfast is amazing, they have everything you could wish for at a breakfast table and awesome fresh juices. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at Câmara de Lobos :)

Fantastic location, the superior family room was perfect for us with lots of space, a fridge and a balcony. The breakfast was nice and the overall decor and ambience of the place was modern, stylish and relaxing. Also very quiet despite it’s central location. You can step out the door and find great places to eat. We had lovely meals in the Pier restaurant at their partner hotel and two places on the same street.

The pool wasn’t very child friendly as there aren’t many young children staying (this is probably a positive for most travellers!) so we were quite conscious of not disturbing the peace. There was a really nice public pool with sea access a short walk away that we used on one of the days.

Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, including catering for my husband's gluten free needs. Nice swimming pool, great location.

Everything about the hotel and its staff was spot on. The only downer was the car parking. It was an unexpected additional cost in a public area that we weren't made aware of until the last minute. It was also occupied by persitant beggers demanding money for showing you an available space in the car park. Not required, and a little intimidating.

Breakfast was delicious! Good variety, abundant, very good quality. Staff was super nice and helpful. We were treated for our long stay and my birthday with wine and pasteis de nata! The pool has also a nice view on the bay. The room was a bit small but very comfortable.

The only little complaint I have was the bathroom door, a bit of a cheap sliding door, not sliding very well. Some more storage space would also be appreciated.

The property is beautifully decorated, so much so on evenings when it’s lit up passers by would often stop to look in and occasionally take photos. The staff are amazing, and couldn’t be anymore helpful. nice to have a pool to chill out at. Would have been nice to have a rooftop bar open to go with it but guess that might be season dependent.

The only minor gripe was the lead for the hairdryer was ridiculously short, and there wasn’t a socket anywhere near a mirror making the whole hair drying process a nightmare. It was a little noisy outside at night so if you’re a light sleeper that could be tricky. But these little things really didn’t impact the overall wonderful stay.
