Breakfast every morning was perfect! We felt relaxed in this beautiful setting and the host could not have been more gracious! Our room was spacious and everything was super clean! We enjoyed the pool one day….it was great! We highly recommend Fonte Velha!

We liked EVERYTHING about this wonderful Villa style hotel!!!

An old granite house, recently recovered, in a quiet, peacefull village, hosted by the nice and available Sr. Manuel. Good acess, nice sun exposure. Perfect to relax. Close to some points of interest (Amarante, Guimarães, Marco de Canavezes). Typical portuguese breakfast included. Restaurant on the ground floor. Good matress, air conditioning is effective. Good acustic insulation.

Bedroom furniture could be a bit better. Breakfast could have just a bit more variety (eg. some puff pastry and a toaster). Price justifies some ammenities (only hand soap available). Wc inside the bedroom was not a problem for us (good exhaustion and not exposed to bed sight)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is very clean and quiet. The pool area is particulary nice. The food and wine is great. Manuel and Rosa are very nice. One or two coffee shops close by to walk to. There is very little in the area other than that, so it's perfect for a quiet getaway.

The Holiday Home was fully reserved for us, and having its own entrance gave us a very private weekend. The public pool was OK, we could use it several times without any other guests around. The Holiday Home was fully equipped, good for a family to have their own meals at the home. The owners did their best to accept all the last-minute requests we had for having a 1 year old baby with us (crib, sheets, later check-out)

The "private" pool of the Holiday Home was not in conditions to be used, and all the equipment to circulate the water was shutdown, but we could use the Public Pool without any problem, only farther from the Home. Some of the employees, including the owner, were not used to use mask while going around the public spaces around the home, that could be OK because it is "open space", but when getting closer to us it would have been nice if they had the mask on. The wifi didn't reach 100% of the Home, but where it reached it worked properly.

The hosts are fabulous,we arrived and didn’t speak a word of Portuguese but the hosts speak french so with our school learnt french we managed.the food is fantastic we added an extra night because the place is so nice.very pet friendly.the country side is beautiful,loved our stay in northern Portugal.

Very difficult to find,my sat nav would not register the address,google maps works though.

Everything was cleaned. Food was very tasty. In a way, people are very friendly.

Room had heat on when we arrived it was ver nice from the staff to prepare the room before our arrival.

The restaurant is an exceptional example of perfect Portuguese food, oh this meat! The staff was kind and friendly. The territory is well-maintained, and the terrace on 2d floor is a good place to have a drink at night.

The bathroom in the room is not soundproof from the room. There is no soap or vanity kit provided, despite the short stay. The pool has very old and broken chaise-longs that need replacement. The hotel is located next to a highway, which creates enough noise. They didn't have darts for the darts board hanging in the hall so the child got disappointed :( It felt as if we stayed at a restaurant, as all their focus is on that part of the business.
