Good place for the price. Everything was okay, nothing to complain about - quiet place, good location (we had a car so it was very convenient that we could park our car in the territory without any check-inn check-out. The staff were nice and polite (as everywhere else in Portugal)

The only thing, actually 2 things that I would recommend to improve: 1. Breakfast. Every single day the same food, and to be honest - nothing to be excited about. Normal food, but as we stayed in Portugal for 2 weeks and the most of the time we spent here, Agua Hotels Riverside was least good. The breakfast room wasn’t conditioned and there was very hot. Another thing to improve is cleaning. The room was OK, but the corridors were dirty from the first day we stayed there, so it seems like nobody is cleaning corridors. Not a very good first impression.

The infinitypool was super facing the Rio Arade. The Spa area had nice facilities but the Sauna was not hot enough. The dinner was very good and the breakfast had many options to chooce from. Also the superior room was quite spacious and spotlesly clean! And fresh Algarvian fruits brouht to us in the room was a really nice gesture +++

The Sauna needs some maintaining to be proberly hot as (the Finnish) sauna should be. Also steam Sauna had no steam and was cold. The reservation system was a little disturbing since customer needed to pay the reservation fee two times - first to booking.com and then the other straight to the Hotel. Booking released the fee from the Credit card next day but to customer this was a little confusing. The roomprescription tells that There is a minibar in the room but there is only an empty fridge.

There were 2 issues which we consulted the manager about, which were due to poor building standards and not directly related to the hotel at all. The Manager was shocked that we identified two building issues that he was unaware of. The maintenance man fixed one within two hours. The second one we rectified ourselves as we had specialist tools with us which we were using to work on our boat. The manager acted in a charming and professional manner and even asked us to join him for breakfast- top class management.

Our room was lovely the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. We had a kitchen too which was handy. Because we had to stay longer (due to the work on our boat) the hotel upgraded us to a room far beyond our expectations and we are so very thankful. Breakfasts always had a good array of food from hot food to cheese and cold meat to cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Also, there were at least 6-8 varieties of bread and buns to choose from. Dinners were lovely, and it was nice to go down to dinner to at least a three or four-course meal where you could choose to eat inside, or outside overlooking the pool or the river. The pool was and sparkling attraction all day every day. It was always clean and looked like it met up with the Arade River. We really liked the front desk staff who were efficient and welcoming, we also loved the cleaning staff who were friendly and happy to provide you with those extra little things. The staff in the dining room were also very lovely and we got to know a few by name. Our stay was in excess of our expectations. Thank you Agua Resort Riverside Portimao.

From arrival at reception through to entering room exceeded expectations, room exceptionally large, had small kitchen which was a surprise, view from room 126a outstanding with fantastic balcony, hotel was nicely furnished, breakfast was very good, location had everything a few minutes from good restaurants, supermarkets beach five minute drive and Portimao just minutes away, all in all I would recommend.

Hard to find a fault so why bother.

Good facilities including gym, pools and spa. Very good staff. The quality of breakfast is good although it would help to add some varieties. The forms are spacious and from service is excellent

It is a bit away from the main attractions in the area. Would be good if you have a car to move around.

Location was perfect for us! Breakfast was really nice with a great selection of food and room was super spacious and comfortable.

Having to wear caps for the spa and they cost €4 each which is quite expensive!

Nice Hotel, free parking spaces. Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately the rooms were not too clean. There were ants in the Bathroom. The towels were taken away daily and they mostly forgot to put down new ones, so we were without towels when we came back to the room at night.

The rooms are big and airy, the location is quiet and picturesque. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time here.

We found the evening food was a bit bland in comparison to the breakfast and snack menu.

Pool was wonderful. The breakfast/dinner room with views exceptional. The location views v good. Breakfast was varied & plentiful. Peaceful tranquil setting & ambience

The evening meal was limited in choice. The quality was not always good. No choice between full 4 course meal or having chance for something smaller. No information on restaurants nearby or transport from this isolated location if you had no car.
