From the welcome check-in to the goodbye checkout, the staff in every department of this hotel made the experience even better - and a special mention to the excellent reception staff who looked after our requests and transported us around the resort in the buggy. The hotel itself is a sprawling complex on a marina, ideally positioned between Portimao and Praia da Rocha, with easy access to beaches, restaurants, bars, shopping etc. The seafood cuisine in the area is superb. The rooms are apartment-style with self catering facilities. They are modern and very clean with a small kitchen area and a balcony overlooking the marina. Cleaning takes place daily and again the staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant complex has a great choice of breakfast buffet items and there’s a separate a la carte restaurant. The swimming pools are very pleasant and relaxing and positioned to get the sun all day - they were never too busy and we could always find loungers. There is so much to do from this hotel base: walking, beaches cycling, water sports, boat trips, shopping, dining etc, there really is a lot to do. There is a great-vibe beach club next to the hotel, with cocktails, cabanas, food, drinks. Also, along the entire beach strip there are bars and restaurants to cater for everyone. I would thoroughly recommend a trip by water taxi to Ferragudo village, where there are many excellent bars shops and restaurants - in particular, I would recommend dining at Borda do Cais and Brunch in Rio. Overall this was an excellent five day break in beautiful sunshine and surroundings. I’m sure you will have a great time.

The location is great, 5 min walking to Praia da Rocha! They have buggies available to drop/pick up from/to beach/hotel! The staff was amazing, always caring and prompt to provide us the best experience! A big shoutout to Lumita Ferreira, she was outstanding! I was working for few days remotely and she made a huge effort to get me a room facing the marina so it wasn’t too loud from the pool side! Also the staff from the restaurant who gave me the support to take the breakfast to the room since I was having only 20 min after breakfast time started and before starting to work! Definitely a hotel that works for your comfort! The food is good, several options available always with a live grill station! The pool is big, the water seems warmed up and there’s plenty of sunbeds for everyone! The tv in the room is nicely big and has a bunch of channels available! At the lobby there’s always fresh water and flavorful water available! The hotel is located in the marina and there’s a big sidewalk around it to walk or run! Very pleasant and relaxing place!

The cleaning was a bit uncared, the floor was not properly cleaned as I could find my hair for example in the bathroom floor right after they were supposed to have cleaned! Bathroom trash sometimes not taken away! One time had to call reception for them to come back and wash the dishes as it’s part of the hotel and were not given to us any cleaning products! The pool water is a bit too salty! The mattress is not the most comfortable one but it was ok!

Excellent location, salt water pool is very good, calm relaxing environment, comfortable beds and very good breakfast. Staff always friendly and helpful. Second time staying here and will come back.

Minor and occasional complain but there was noise while they cleaned the outdoors around 24h00. Maybe missing some more umbrellas by the pool. If you do not go early, then we have no shades. Wold be appropriate to have the price list of the minibar in the bedroom. Having a heated pool could be a good option.

Location of rooms (16 + 29) were over the far (northern) side of the marina, and needed a 10 min walk to reception (or a phone call to request the electric buggy). Reception claimed that no rooms were available in the central block (round the pool + restaurant) yet the hotel didn't seem that full. If I went back to the hotel I would insist on a central room, close to reception.

Very welcoming receptionist, explaining every detail for our stay also advised on open restaurants around city. We were also given free upgrade, which was nice surprise! Free underground parking. Breakfast were tasty, plenty of options, in the restaurant with beautiful view. Hopefully next time we will stay longer to enjoy pools and gym too :)

Bathroom was tired, mould around bath, shower head had low pressure of water. Hairdryer with no power, took ages to dry my hair. TV was freezing from time to time. Speaking about freezing the freezer was just big block of ice. But these didn't spoil our stay, just maybe to consider some TLC for the rooms while outside the season.

Our Marina Deck room had a lovely view of the marina. It was good to have an outside terrace. The breakfast was excellent with a very large choice of food. The restaurant had great views.

Some of the outside areas are looking a bit tired although the gardens are well maintained. The hotel does provide coffee in the rooms but the charge of two Euros for each coffee pod is appalling considering the price of the accommodation. Comfortable chairs are needed in the room and better ones on the terrace.

We liked all of the facilities and very much enjoyed our stay.

On the day of our departure we requested access to the breakfast room 15 minutes before it opened and our request was refused. We were only two people and would not have caused too much of a problem. The packed breakfast which we got in lieu was not our type of food so we were disappointed with the hotel for this reason. This was our second visit and don't know if we will be back.

We have given the Tivoli Marina a rare 10/10 because we couldn't have asked for more value and service. The venue might be a little tired in places, but for the price we paid and the attention we were given during our stay, it has been perfect. All the staff were helpful, open and friendly. The breakfast was surprisingly big on choice and we loved the made-to-order omelettes. The fresh fruit and continental breakfast had a choice of cheeses, meats and bread. You could have a cooked menu if you wanted. The view of the harbour from our room was great. Parking the car is easy and a great place to go exploring from. We visited Carvoeiro and Lagos which are both a short drive away and both were beautiful places with restaurants and places to stroll.

We received a room update compared to what I booked. The room was cleaned almost every day. Great value-price ratio during offseason. The poolside area must be nice during warmer weather. Free underground parking was provided.

The staff was quite slow when checking in. They also forget to clean our room once. We stayed five nights and the breakfast was quite basic and almost the exact same every morning. The bedroom became very humid each day, we also saw some mold too. Some of the rooms are located about 15 min walking distance from breakfast - this can be uncomcortable in case of rain.

The location between the river and the beach was perfect for us! Absolutely loved the proximity to good restaurants and the view of the boats outside our sliding glass doors was amazing. The breakfast was outstanding and in a lovely location. I loved this property and will be back again.

I thought the staff was very nice but not as knowledgeable as I might have expected. The units are very nice but the AC/Heat controls were a bit odd since they are attached to two different remotes. You will get use to it but need to know the controls are remotes.
