We loved everything!! The spa is absolutely amazing. I'd recommend getting a massage or treatment. The breakfast is outstanding. In addition to the wide range of food on the buffet, the staff come and ask if you'd like anything cooked (eggs, pancakes, or crepes). The bed is huge and super comfortable. The staff are wonderful. Very, very friendly, and they were so lovely to our.5 year old daughter. The indoor pool is fantastic. (So is the outdoor one, but it was a little bit too cold to use it!) The Cobalt restaurant (within the hotel) is wonderful. The desserts are to die for! Our daughter loved the little mini macarons we were given with our coffee. I also want to say thank you for the beautiful detail at breakfast on my husband's birthday. If you're celebrating your birthday during your stay, prepare for something lovely at breakfast ;-) The surrounding area is beautiful. The lake and the beach. Óbidos town is stunning. A must-see. We also drove up to Nazare, which is a great coastal town.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Everything was fantastic and done with care and detail.

I loved the room, the bathroom with a bathtub was excellent, and the surroundings were marvellous. The bed was big and very comfortable. The couples massage we booked was one of the best I have had. Both masseuses were very professional and knowledgeable. People were very nice and helpful. The sauna and steam room in the spa were great.

The spa was alright, but I expected the indoor swimming pool to have neck-jet water cannons and other water cascades inside the pool. Breakfast was good and tasty with quality food. However, I found it a bit basic for a 5-star hotel. I would recommend offering Netflix or some other streaming platform on the TV to allow guests to relax watching a movie if they want to.

Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Good sports facilities.

The cleaning seemed to be very unorganised. This might be a Portuguese thing as we had problems with the boutique hotel in Cascais we stayed in before Obidos, and also with the PortoBay Teatro where we stayed for two nights after Obidos. This has never happened in any other country! Stayer's rooms need to be cleaned withing 11.00 really, and leavers rooms from 11.00 to whatever check-in time they have. But whenever we would come back after our morning activities the rooms were not done. Irritating.

We stayed in the apartment with 2 friends which had a central entrance door and two additional doors into the two apartments so that you had your privacy. Both apartments are very roomy with good features such as a kitchenette and outside Terrace overlooking the sea.

The decor in the apartment was soul less and the chairs were a little uncomfortable. Also, the dining facilities had been moved to the Golf clubhouse due to a technical issue they said which was a little disappointing as the hot food for breakfast was cold.

The hotel is beautiful, with gorgeous views on the golf course and the sea. Staff is friendly and caring. Rooms are big and offer both shower and bath (the latter with a glass wall looking on the outside terrace). Breakfast is excellent, with both sweet and savoury options and the possibility to order "a la carte" extras as pancakes and crepes. Hotel bar is also top-notch, with nice cocktails and some basic (but very tasty) food options served 24h. Parking is free with plenty of outdoor and some indoor spots. Golf course is beautiful.

The spa needs some maintenance and some monitoring: during our stay both sauna and steam room were out of order, and the indoor pool (that should have been adults-only, as per hotel rules affixed on the walls) was full of noisy children and families, with the staff that didn't intervene despite complaints from several guests

This hotel is gorgeous however the staff were all so professional, friendly and helpful . Facilities are very good for sure but staff make it. I must also mention the food . Top class food for Breakfst lunch and dinner . We will be back for sure .

It’s a little remote and when travelling in a group of 8 who were dropped off by bus we were restricted . We also didn’t like the price of alcohol . It was way over priced by Portugal standards and I traveling to Portugal since 1996 . €7 for a .5 litre of beer and €11 for a G&T is not right . It’s €5 for a beer in the golf club which is fine for 5 star hotel . Beer in Portugal averages €4 for local beer! I think you are missing a trick

Restaurant and Bar meals were very good, ALL staff were very polite and helpful

Maintenance levels within the rooms. Upon arrival, we had to ask reception to resolve a few issues, in fairness the maintenance man did resolve all the initial problems during the first 24 hrs. However, such items should have been resolved prior to a guests' arrival, maybe more feedback from the maid service to the reception/maintenance department is required, especially to hold a 5 star rating. Guests should not have to report a handful of issues upon arrival.

Pool Breakfast Apartment Hotel

When we arrived (16.30) the apartment wasn’t ready and the receptionist said she wouldn’t know how long it would take to be ready saying it wasn’t her job to get the apartments ready just to do the check ins. Luckily the apartment was ready at 16.45. The request i made previously (to make a welcome surprise for my husband’s birthday in the apartment) wasn’t done on arrival, i had to ring reception about it and remind them i was told that would be done without additional charges.

The larger apartment was wonderful. The smaller one would be a bit small if you weren’t also using the larger one too, as we were. They are designed with a common outside door so you can use both apartments sort of linked together. The views from the terrace were of the golf course and the ocean. (The ocean is a couple miles away, but you can see and hear it!). The breakfast was 5 star - one of the best we’ve had while on vacation. Oh, the golf course was very, very good too!

The kitchenette is very difficult to cook on. The 2 burner cooktop is positively tiny. All the rest of the kitchen features were fine.

The room was large and very well designed. It was spotlessly clean and I loved the free standing bath looking out onto the garden. The terrace was a great size and added to the room experience. Also good to have a coffee machine.

I was disappointed by the indoor pool which was incredibly hot, too hot to swim laps even though it was a great size. The extremely warm and humid air in the spa area has also led to rather a lot of black and green mould around the pool areas which I found off putting especially when the changing rooms and everything else in the hotel was exceptionally clean. We were going to add an extra night to our stay but given that we could not use the spa area for swimming we decided against it which was a pity.
