Everything was excellent and Alice is the best host on planet earth. Super friendly, amazing breakfast, outstanding location (much better than all 5* hotels we had prior to this boutique place). I tend to say I don‘t recommend it because otherwise it‘s always fully booked when we want to return ;-) …a must visit when traveling through Portugal and definitely worthwhile to stay more fhan just 1 night because there is so many things to do in the area

Everything was excellent

Our stay was fantastic, We could not have asked for a better host, so friendly and warm, speaking to Alice and her general care made me feel like I was her son. Jose was also very warm and helpful in telling me how to navigate the area. The villa was beautiful, everything was spotless and clean, the décor had a fantastic mix of modern while keeping the authentic feel of the area/location. The breakfast was lovely, and there was enough food to feed us twice over. honestly we could not have asked for a better stay, far exceeded expectations. Thank you Alice and Jose, Hope to see you again in the near future.

The location of this absolutely beautiful inn in Cavaleiro is perfect for those hiking the Fisherman's Trail. Meeting Alice and staying in her gorgeous home (that she designed herself) was truly a highlight of our entire trip. We arrived quite late in the evening, after 9pm, and Alice greeted us warmly and welcomed us with some delicious port. Her home is very new and our room was spotless, and we enjoyed a really incredible breakfast the next morning - fresh fruit and eggs and pastries all prepared by Alice. She went above and beyond in accommodating us, even providing detailed recommendations for things to see and do in Lisbon at the end of our trip. We can't recommend Casa da Courela highly enough!

‏Alice’s place is the best booking accommodation I have ever stayed in--and this is said as someone who has traveled extensively. The room is clean and well-equipped; the breakfast is spectacular ‏you have everything you will need for a short or long stay. The location is perfect-The check in process was seamless and Alice was incredibly communicative. Thank you for the perfect stay! dying to be back!

Everything! Alise the host is one of the best people i have ever met. The breakfast was incredible. The place is impecable and so nicely decorated. Absolutely everything in the house is so nicely decorated :) Had a great time chatting with Alice, highly recommend!

we really enjoyed our stay at casa da courela! the hosts were super lovely and created a beautiful place to calm down. the breakfast was stunning as well! you will definitely need a car to discover the surroundings and to go out for dinner :)

Breakfast was amazing. The best we had while staying in Portugal and we stayed at some high-class hotels. The hospitality of Alice and her husband. It felt like family from the first minutes on.
