This is a fairly new hotel in an old building which has endeavoured to retain many lovely features while also modernising . Although a few winding corridors it is light and airy . Our room was spacious with high ceilings , wardrobe , desk, bedside tables and one comfy chair ( 2 would be good). A bay window , good curtains , lovely linen and good lighting and excellent A/C. A large bathroom ( for those with some mobility issues) with accessible shower , generous vanity and supplies. The room had a mini fridge and a coffee maker -but we rarely drink coffee -so we were supplied with tea pots which could be filled in the guest lounge area at any time . This was greatly appreciated. This lovely guest section on first floor had expansive lounges, bar, tea supplies, and a welcoming library -all attractively furnished. The reception staff and breakfast staff were cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. We appreciated all their help and advice. The breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is in a central location - a tight fit for cars but easy walking to all the towns cafes, parks and river. The old castle etc are a fair distance up steep hills. The town is lovely and lively .

Nothing to not like here - just lots narrow roads if you are in a car. Train station and bus station are a bit of a walk but it is a flat walk !

Beautiful heritage boutique hotel in the centre of Tomar. Within walking distance to the castle, river and nearby restaurants. The hotel itself is a historical story of Tomar. It is an amazing hotel with an incredible story told to us by Joao who checked us in. Five stars to Joao who made her stay with tips and information about the hotel and Tomar. The continental breakfast was exceptional. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the castle with a view of the castle. The room was beautiful and the bed incredibly comfy. I would definitely come back and stay.

Parking is nearby. The hotel is located on a pedestrianised only road.

Breakfast was superb. Everything one needed and more. Well thought out selection and excellent coffee and tea choices. Location is perfect especially for the walk up to the convent. Bedroom and bathroom were luxurious. Joao on reception, one couldn’t have asked for a more perfect check in. He told us everything we needed to know and lots more. A huge thank you Joao and a great sense of humour too. Perfect English spoken by this charming young man. He made our stay extra special with his professionalism.

Simply perfect in every way.

Great location

We reserved and paid for a penthouse 2 and 1/2 months before. Two days before our arrival I received a call telling me they overbooked and had been trying to reach me for several days. I hadn't received any emails or calls prior. They said they wanted to move us to a premium room, and would credit us the difference. Unable to book a comparable suite in such a short time frame I acceded to their request. One would think that at the least a complimentary bottle of wine would be in the room.

I loved this hotel. It is a small hotel with only 16 rooms. The room was spacious and confortable. The bed was great. Joao, the person in the front desk, was very helpful and nice. The hotel is very well located, just at walking distance of everything. The breakfast has everything one needs: juice, eggs, differents kind of breads, coffee/tea, cheeses, bacon...excelent.

Big room and large comfortable bed. Great location, good breakfast. Check in experience with Joäo was excellent, he took time to tell us what to see around the town, and accompanied us to our room to make sure we knew how to find everything, etc. Lovely common spaces on the first floor, with the honor bar, library, patio.

The in room coffee maker made terrible coffee. But the automated machine in the breakfast room was great.

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and took extra care to get in touch on the check-in day as we were only able to arrive very late. Full marks for breakfast: although it doesn't have a mind-blowing variety of things it does cover pretty much every thing one needs (bread, cold meats/cheese, scrambled eggs, pastries, hot drinks, cold drinks, yoghurt, jams, fruit). The hotel is lovely and flaunts its historic roots. There is an adorable large lounge and library area on the first floor, and everything is nicely decorated. It is perfectly located, within walking distance of pretty much all of Tomar's attractions (then again it's not a huge city). For an extra daily fee, parking is available at a car park that is located 2 minutes away (by foot) from the Hotel.

The window shutters let in a tiny bit of light in the morning.

Lovingly renovated old building, which was turned into a boutique hotel. Very cozy atmosphere and probably the friendliest and nicest staff you will find in al of Portugal (especially João at the reception, who was a treasure trove of local information). Very good breakfast that included fresh fruit, breads and eggs. Hotel is centrally located in the Old Town, and everything you want to see and visit is reachable on foot from here. Great place with great service - highly recommended!

Since this hotel is in the Old Town, free parking is only available next to "Tribunal Square", from where it is an eight-minute walk back to the hotel. But this didn't really bother us, as this allowed us to explore the city even more. Upon arrival, you can leave your car in one of the narrow streets crossing the hotel in order to unload your luggage.

Breakfast was excellent - nicely laid out and good variety. Delicious cakes! Loved the coffee machine with so many choices. he hotel itself is so comfortable, and quiet. Great location!

The lighting in the room was awful! Those glaring lamps on the side tables by the bed are horrible. Please get lamps with shades to diffuse the light - it's a bedroom, not an office. Otherwise the room was very comfortable.

This is a small but well appointed and recently refurbished hotel in the historic old town. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff were helpful, especially with parking. The bed was large and comfortable and the air conditioning effective. The breakfast was pleasant and the kitchen was able to accommodate a special request. The lounge area upstairs that’s provided for guests is lovely, and has an honesty bar.

I booked the suite for the balcony and sitting area. However the balcony is too small to sit on (and there is only one chair). The sitting area’s a bit characterless so we didn’t really use it. The enclosed outside terrace near the guests’ lounge needs a handle on the outside of the door. The reception staff said we could leave the door ajar if we went outside but I would be afraid someone would close it and we’d become locked out. These were minor things and wouldn’t stop me recommending the hotel.
