Hotel República is an exceptional hotel right in the centre of the old square with short walking distance to everything we wanted to see including the Knights Templar Convento. The directions for parking and the hotel were easy and well explained. Wonderful staff with attention to detail. Accommodations were very comfortable and had our best nights sleep. The breakfast staff go out of their way to provide a great dining experience. I highly recommend this hotel and I hope we make it back there again. Thank you for a short but wonderful stay.

This was really a great stay in the center of Tomar. We had the room 27 and it was spacious with a wonderful shower and a perfect bed. Even the best was the service. Reception took care about everything including the parking and some Gin Tonic even some minutes later then bar was opened. About the restaurant we can not say anything, because we had our dinner outside and stayed only one night, but the breakfast was incredible with a big choice of worthy and healthy food. 100% Recommendation!

Continental breakfast but here it meant a lovely array of cheeses, meats, vegetables, fruits, plus cooked items. Bed was remarkably comfortable. Location 1 block from the parking structure and just 15 minutes from the top of the hill and the entrance to the Knights Templar castle. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were extraordinarily friendly and extremely helpful.

This is just a maintenance issue, but the shower wand fixture came off mid-shower. Seems a screw is loose. Otherwise no concerns.

The maître d of the restuarant was exceptional! The coffee was hot, the breakfast buffet was beautiful and the food was delicous. The room was very clean, modern and the view to the courtyard was the best part! We heard the church bells ringing and it felt magical. From the moment we checked into the hotel until the moment we checked out, we had top notch service. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and full of suggestions on where to eat/shop/etc. I would go back again and again!

The location was perfect, right on the main square, walking distance to the main attraction of Tomar, Covent of Christ. The plaza has a nice cafe right outside the hotel. The continental breakfast we very good, Rooms are large, very clean and comfortable bedding. The whole staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Met the owners, super nice people, hands on, making sure every guest is happy with their stay.

Marvelous! The attention to even the smallest detail in this hotel is astounding. The decor, throughout, was upscale in a very tasteful understated was and beyond our expectations. The rooms were spotless and spacious. Wonderful hot water with plenty of pressure. The staff was amazingly helpful. The breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. Although on the square, it was quiet and felt like an oasis. We highly recommend this gem!

Everything about our stay here was perfect! The location is excellent; we were able to walk to all the sights, including the Castle of the Knights Templar. Breakfast was lovely. Our room and the common areas were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Best of all, the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff was stellar. Hotel Republica is an ideal place to stay in Tomar.

Exceeded expectations. Staff attentive and amiable,eager to provide useful tips and arrange transportation Quiet room Nwith nice modern decoration, bathroom in marble and excellent comfort and amenities. Prime position in the main square and very close ro convent of Christ. Very good and wide buffet breakfast. I got a deluxe one night free upgrade .

We loved the Historic location and the kindness of the staff. Karine was exceptionally helpful and communicative . We asked at the last minute for a tour guide and despite the business of the season Karine found a wonderful guide , Luis, we would highly recommend his tuk tuk tour!

Exceptional hotel, staff and Location. Amazing breakfast and Sr. José 's dining room is awesome. The owner is a Delightfull person and all the staff - Sofia, Nicoli etc-are exceptional. I shall return. 5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
