Great base. Had a hire car. Secure parking underneath apartments. Regarding parking, once you know location of your apartment, you can park close to lift for your block. So easy once you figure out which door to use. Nice comfortable and clean apartments. Underfloor heating was on max on entry (was warm but figured out how to turn off and then just set thermostat for comfort) stayed out of season so wasn't too busy which we enjoyed. Kids loved play area also and used indoor pool at Hilton once we sampled the outdoor ones! Used the Rubi bar twice for drinks. Overall, we felt the apartments were comfortable and great value for what we paid. Would stay again. Can use shuttle at Hilton if did not have car (we have stayed at Hilton hotel before and used this last time)

Not sure what we did not like. We didn't try the food this time (had breakfast two years ago) so cannot comment on food this time.

Lovely resort. The apartment was well furnished and spacious too. The staff at checkin were lovely too. I also loved the fact that uber works too and it was very cheap. My partner and I went in December so it was quiet but I can only imagine how busy it would be during the summer. The resort shares facilities with the Hilton Hotel. Yuri who works at the spa was very friendly too.

Great big spacious comfortable well equipped 4 bedroom corner suite. 4 balconies inc Hottub (not in service) Pools all great size and clean facilities. Staff very friendly.

No access to Hilton hotel with a buggy from As Cascatas.

Outdoor pool bar and food kiosk was closed for first 2 days but opened up for the spring / summer on the 3rd day

Receptions were confusing on arrival (different one for different accommodation types) and far away from each other, but staff great and sorted shuttle bus for me to correct one with my heavy bags!! Thank you!

As Cascatas is part of the Vilamoura Hilton Hotel. It specialises in apartments. They are slightly dated but large very clean and serviced everyday. The towels are big and luxurious. They have dishwashers,microwaves plenty of seating and comfortable beds. The gardens are lush and well kept.

It is close to a number of golf courses but about an hours walk to the Marina. There is a shuttle bus however this is not in continuous service but spaced two hours apart in the morning a gap of 4 hours in the afternoon and then once per hour in the early evening. Uber is very efficient and relatively cheap.

The 1 bedroom apartment was so spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It had everything we needed with two lovely balconies on the ground floor. We loved the pool area as it was nice and quiet with plenty of sun beds. The breakfast in the hotel was amazing (we paid extra) and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I would definitely recommend these apartments for a family - we had a three month old with us and having all that space in the apartment was brilliant. The shuttle bus to the marina was also very handy and the driver was very accommodating with fitting the buggy on board. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Apartments are great for families with the combination of space and self catering facilities with having the hotel benefits also. Great pools, good location near to Vilamoura and to the beach. Food was good although options felt very limited. Really great gym for a hotel.

The wait staff are great but the accommodation service was poor. The AC didn’t work in the main bedroom and we kept getting invested with ants. We had to complain numerous times before they sent an exterminator for the ants. The AC was never fixed, they just kept sending maintenance in to turn it on full blast as if we hadn’t tried that ourselves. Came back to the apartment one day to find that housekeeping had left our door wide open with their keys in the door. I waited over an hour to see if they would come back, they didn’t. They apologised when I complained but didn’t take it seriously. There’s a €50 deposit for your keys and there was a €340 charge for the week to use the sofa bed. I’ve never seen those kind of charges at similar hotels.

pool area was very clean and the Tidy. The house cleaning service was very good. The Transfer for the hotel to and from the marina and beach was also good but could be more regular.

The pool champagne bar was closed which was disappointing. The water pressure in the bathroom was really bad. There is no shop on site to pick up small items

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are just wonderful. Our apartment was amazing too, great location on the ground floor where the kids could run around and play. We were so lucky to have the kindest waitress at the restaurant by the pool most days we were there (I’m so annoyed I didn’t ask for her name!) She was so lovely with our children and always so friendly and kind to us too.

The only thing that we were slightly disappointed with was how cold all of the pools were (we have very young children and hadn’t realised none were heated).
