Cilaos is just beautiful, even if we were living in a shack. But Le Cilaos is really nice, with a nice heated pool and a dazzling view of the highest mountain on the island. From the pool and the restaurant. It's a bit tired now, it couldn't have four stars in Paris, but it's OK here. Excellent food over the weekend with a wide choice of buffet for dinner and breakfast. We'd love to come back again sometime...

On Sundays and weekdays, due to the small number of guests, there was a very limited choice for breakfast and dinner - both were served, but quite acceptable. We also had to hunt a huge spider - Heteropoda venatoria - in the room at night - not a very nice experience.

location was great staff was very welcoming, had a lot of nice gestures - drink after the hike, advice on things to do, my mother received a rose for Mother’s Day great common areas great breakfast and dinner buffet ! try the lentil they are delicious!!!

the beds were not the best quality - you could feel the springs of the bed other than that amazing hotel !

Very friendly staff, taking care of each and every customer. Excellent location, good restaurant, large rooms. In general, a very welcoming and enjoyable hotel I can strongly recommend.

Actually nothing that was really negative. The experience was great. It would be very nice if hiking tours / guides could be booked directly at the reception.

Bit old fashioned but as for the town of Cilaos very ok ! Just look for a price as I would not pay it as 4 star hotel.

The buffet dinner was not very good and breakfast so-so.

The restaurant and the restaurant staff were amazing. My travelling partner has food allergies and they went above and beyond to cook dishes that he was able to safely eat( even if they were not on the menu) . They were extremely nice and the food on the menu was delicious. The pool in the reception area( even if we had to pay for playing) was great. The free parking. The location was very close to everything and the views were amazing.

The humidity in the rooms. The temperature in the shower was not constant, so it went from hot to cold constantly. The coffee served at breakfast( the breakfast and the dinner were mandatory in the booking of the stay) was just horrible. We complained to the staff at the reception and we were told that we could have a better coffee at the bar (for which we had to pay extra, of course). The rest of the breakfast was ok.

Beautiful hotel with a good view of the mountain. No air-conditioning but ok.

Food is overpriced. And the staff is not transparent with me about those prices. I was told the dinner is included in the hotel price, but when I checked out, I got the extra bills asking me to pay for breakfast for 15 euro and dinner for 30 euro.... The quality of both breakfast and dinner are bad, they are just a buffet. I will attach the screenshots here as well. I feel very regretful to use their buffet service knowing they were free and included in my hotel price, but actually not. Also, the bed is too small and too hard to sleep. The middle of the bed actually sinks down which makes things harder to sleep.
