The location is pretty good, just few minutes away from the town center. Wonderful sauna and swimming pool, very clean and everything is well arranged. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The pillows are very soft and only two (one per person). I like harder and higher pillows, so I didn't sleep very well. Of course, it could be provided but it was already very late. So I will advice the hotel to put an extra pillow in the cupboard or on the bed. Or request an extra pillow(s) at check-in,

We had the swimming pool mostly to ourselves. Our eight years old son loved it!

At arrival the man at the reception told us he gave us a different room. In his humble opinion a much nicer room. We were not impressed at all by the room and wondered how the other rooms would be like. (Like prison?) Couple days later we arrived back in the hotel and got a different room from different receptionist. Much nicer room!!! Funny sense of humour the first guy had.... The restaurant is only so so but in town we managed to find a restaurant so bad we wished we had eaten at the hotel.

Nice hotel close to the center of Monschau. Friendly staff, nice room, comfortable beds, quite clean. Maybe a tiny bit outdated, but totally fine for a night or two. Beautiful swimming pool on the 5th floor, accessible to everyone. We didn't have breakfast, 21 euro per person looks too expensive to us.

Expensive breakfast. We didn't use the parking at the hotel, since they ask 9 euro a day for it, while the parking just a few meters above the street costs 7 euro a day.

We arrived by bus and it was just back up the hill to the hotel. That is easier than dragging cases over cobblestones in the aldstadt. The room was modern, comfortable. A bit warm, no air conditioning but an opening window. Breakfast was great and had options to suit most people.

We had a shower over the bath. I usually request not to have that, so I don’t know if there were rooms with shower only and we may have booked too late to get one, or they didn’t have any stand alone showers.

I stayed in superior room (No. 220) for 5 days. Very nice and comfortable room. Very comfortable double bed (box spring), nice bathroom with powerful shower, six towels and bathrobe. Room was quiet, very clean and technically fully in order. Heating with silent Daikin air conditioner. The buffet with some variation was ready every morning before 7 am. On the fifth floor warm swimming pool (I think at least 26°C) even though it was cold outside. Good sauna 80°C, also with loungers, spacious showers and lots of towels. Very friendly, flexible and helpful staff ! Ample parking and within walking distance of the center.

Nice location, peaceful and comfortable.

The bedrooms were very hot with no air conditioning. We came down for breakfast towards the end of service and the choice was limited and the staff were helping themselves to what was left. The makeshift bar was limited in choice of drinks. When I asked for a coffee with my cognac I was told the coffee machine was broken

Better quality than I expected after reading older reviews and veiwing photos of the out side. Staff were helpful and professional. The room was comfortable. We were allowed to park out motorcycles at the front of the hotel for free. The hotel cost was acceptable. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk to the old town.

Breakfast was expensive.

The location was 5mins walk to downtown (the Christmas market). Only hotel guests are allowed to drive into Monschau during Christmas market days, so that was super convenient.

No hot water kettle. The breakfast was very bare minimum. Interior was a little old. Paid too much because of the Christmas high season.

The loaction, the town is marvelowsly beatuiful and the hotel is 200 m from the centre. The restaurant had good selection for dinner, and breakfast was failry stocked.

Outdated decor in the rooms and corridors, the carpets could do with a change as I dont think a deep clean would do the trick. The lift is strangely slow, as in you press the button, the doors close and it takes several seconds for it to start moving, not really somethng to complain about, but rather a curiosity.

I arrived from Brussels by car, and I park at the hotel parking space, which is very convenient. Then, we explore Monschau on foot. The staff is super friendly. Kudos to the receptionists - Mr Guido and his colleagues. I truly respect Mr Hassan, the waiter at the restaurant. He showed the halal ones and those aren't during breakfast. It may seem like a small deed but an honest and very commendable gesture indeed. Definitely will go back here.

Breakfast could have more varieties. The bed's width is rather tight.
