We recently spent three nights at this lovely hotel, and it was a fantastic experience overall! From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth and friendliness, making us feel truly welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, which immediately put us at ease. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, providing us with restful nights of sleep—a rarity in hotels! Although the pillows weren’t quite to our liking, it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of our stay. The hotel’s atmosphere, combined with the attentive service, made for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The perfect hotel to stay whenever you are in Malta! It is located in a beautiful place, where you can swim, dive, catch a boat ride to the caves. Amazing and affordable restaurantes all around. The hotel has a restaurant with amazing food, highly recommended. The rooms are spacious and are cleaned every day, they have everything you would need for your stay. The hotel has an indoor pool/jacuzzi, gym, sauna that you can you use that is great! Breakfast has a big variety of food you can choose from. The owners of the hotel are a kind and great family, who will help you with everything you need. They made mine and my husbands honeymoon very special and beautiful. Thank you so much for having us in your beautiful hotel. We hope to come back someday!

If you are staying in Malta for any reason, stay here. The owners are hospitable, kind, and exceedingly helpful. The facilities were gorgeous, truly beautifully designed, and the views from our room across the sea were stunning. The location above the Blue Grotto and close to pre-historic megalithic temples made attractions easily accessible. Swimming in the sea was just outside the hotel! There are small shops close by, but we didn't finish our day early enough to have a look, but by what we did see when we walked by, made us wish they had stayed open a little later. There is a restaurant in the hotel, where the food and wine selections were exceptional. There is a gym in the basement, and a small indoor pool next to it, which was very pretty. Aalto https://aalto.mt/ is the restaurant of the owner, and in the hotel. I think the lemon molten cake with ice cream was the best I have had in my life, and I travel to Italy and other places in Europe frequently. We had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast, so the owners left us a take away breakfast of a fresh pastries and fruit.

There is a little island across the way, Filfla, protruding from the sea. It is mesmerizing. I couldn't turn away!

My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Deep Blue Boutique Hotel. The location was perfect – quiet, safe, and lively, with beautiful views of the blue Mediterranean Sea. Our room was very clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The food at Aalto Restaurant, located inside the hotel, was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed dining there.

There was no hairdryer in the room, but overall, it didn’t affect our experience.

I cannot fault this place, it was perfect. And THE PEOPLE were wonderful. Staff at this hotel is second to none. This place is off the bitten track which suited me well, I wanted a quiet place without a buzz of a big city. I loved the jacuzzi on the balcony, fantastic view overlooking the sea and the comfy bed with white linen. Really lovely breakfast cooked to order was yummy. I also had dinner there- fish that I ordered was definitely in the sea that same day and has not seen freezer- it was freshly cooked and juicy and full of flavour. I would also strongly recommend a restaurant just around the corner "Coast@Cassarini"- brilliant cuisine, especially seafood, so fresh and tasty! There is a small SPA downstairs with a swimming pool and a steam room. I enjoyed a moment there as well. I wish I could stay longer but Christmas called so I had to go and help my family in preparations for it. Julienne- see you in the future when I need a quick chillout for 2 days, it is so well worth it and you are a gem to this place!

Weather. But we cannot help it. There was a strong wind on the second day and the chill was in the air- which forced me to go for a long walk and a visit to the SPA downstairs so I had a great time anyway!

The Deep Blu Boutique Hotel you could say is a gem in the sea of ‘Boutiques’ for travelers who seek out this class of accommodations. The distinctly ‘family’ run business (you will meet them all) is clear in the way you are welcomed and treated throughout your stay. Open just a year from this writing you can still feel the shiny newness aided by expert attention to cleaning/servicing. The detail of the design and forethought for the traveler was certainly appreciated by me. Comfortable, well appointed, high quality everywhere you look. Every day my room was refreshed well before noon - a rarity. They have an excellent restaurant for great Maltese-Mediterranean dining and the breakfast menu was healthy & hearty. The Spa is below ground it has a small infinity style cold pool and a 2-3 person cedar sauna. I’m a big sauna fan and it heated easily to 50C(122F). Location wise it was perfect for me. I had been in Malta for almost three weeks and had saved the Neolithic Temples, Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra, and the Blue Grotto for last. You can walk (it’s vigorous) to the temples in 30 min. On the way back make a short detour for an excellent view of the Grotto from above. The village (Qrendi) is small but bustles during the daytime tourist traffic. At night, it was a perfect (for me) peaceful setting. Last bit of encouragement to plan a stay here? The sunrises and sunsets are to behold - see my pics!!! A special mention to the wonderful couple managing this hotel with so much passion and care – their kindness and attention to detail make all the difference. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the perfect place to unwind. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the staff is always attentive to make your stay even more enjoyable. Having stayed in many hotels, this one stands out for its authenticity and unique atmosphere. Highly recommended!"

Everything was great 😍

We spent one night here at the end of our 2 week vacation which was a good choice. We arrived early from a flight (9am) in low season which we communicated via the app and they had a room ready and let us check in. Instructions and a code were supplied via the app prior to arrival. Not only that, they let us go for the free breakfast after we checked in (which had an appetizer plate and a full menu - eggs Benedict, English breakfast etc). The guy checking us in was very friendly and even offered to get us a boxed breakfast we could take the next morning at our 5am departure. We walked to the nearby Neolithic ruins (30mins) and to the blue hole look out (10mins) but there are buses and the bolt/ubers pick you up if you want. We also spent time in the pool area, which is a small pool but has some fun jets to play with - there’s also a small sauna with Bluetooth and work out machines. There are a few restaurants nearby and in the hotel, most are on the more expensive side (we had a lobster pasta for 30 euro, but you could find a burger for 10 euros if you want) The hotel is small (11 rooms) but very modern and seemingly the only one in this small part of the island and was a great way to end our vacation.

Another guest showed up at 1 in the morning and started banging on the entrance which disrupted our sleep as no one was at the door to open it. Given the communication we had prior to check in, I’m not sure how someone could arrive and not know the code to the door or have communicated their arrival time. I don’t blame the property for this as they were very attentive.

Everything - we had a wonderfully warm welcome to the hotel. All the staff were friendly - the owner and his son made a particular effort to engage with us. The room was clean/comfortable and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The on-site restaurant was of a an extremely high quality; a very interesting menu. I almost don't want to say how good it is, in the hope that if we go back, we will get a room! When we were leaving this morning, our hire car had a flat battery - within seconds of telling the hotel owner, he had jump leads in hand and got us going so we didn't have to worry about missing our flight home. Nothing was a problem - a really lovely place.

Nothing - I rarely say this but the hotel was basically perfect. This was the third hotel of our stay in Malta and we wished we had booked for longer. It was a lovely place.

We enjoyed our stay a lot, small boutique hotel in a small village next to the blue grotto (busy during the day, very quiet at night) with superfriendly owners & staff. The breakfast on the other hand is quite basic even if you could order hot dishes from the menu. Rooms have a lovely view with a nice terrace, but are very small. Excellent restaurant for a la carte lunch/dinner with lovely staff and good value for money (we had excellent fresh fish and felt that prices were OK for what we got).

We enjoyed our stay and would go back, but due to the fact that the rooms are really small & breakfast is rather basic we felt that the value for money was just OK.
