We knew from the description on Booking.com that this was a special little hotel and were not disappointed! We had not realized exactly how well-located it is, just far enough from the more bustling tourist areas but close enough to reach them. We immediately felt relaxed and completely at home. The welcoming staff answered all of our questions and helped us settle in, showing us (on request) how to access the delightful deck area, and drew up a walk for us on a map that would take us past some less-touristy areas and restaurants. The room itself was spotless, tastefully-furnished and as comfortable as any we have stayed in. Toiletries were some of the nicest we have had in any hotel (I often find them either too plain or too fragrant, or too drying - these were just perfect). The bed was comfortable and supporting, and the linens and towels spotless, fresh and soft. We stayed three nights and did not request any room service or unneccessary linen replacements, so we had our privacy and that was great. The wifi was complimentary (included in the price), strong and reliable. Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and selection of teas in the little restaurant were appreciated. Umbrellas were available for use at the reception area but we didn't need to use them. On check-out we had still some time until our train back to Montreal and the perfectly bilingual staff offered to look after our luggage until a more suitable time for us to return and pick them up, which we gratefully declined as we did not really feel like walking back up the hill again! We would stay at this gem again in a heartbeat! NOTE: I am not adding any photos to my review as those already on booking.com perfectly showcase the hotel.

Can you believe, between my husband and me we couldn't think of anything that detracted from our thorough enjoyment of this hotel.

The staff is exceptional. As a boutique hotel in a heritage building, I was curious about the facilities prior to arrival. Phone calls were answered promptly and pleasantly. The location within the walls of the "old city" was outstanding - 5 minute walk to the Citadel, 8 minutes to the funicular. Parking was offsite but only a 3 minute walk.

We were on the top (4th) floor and there is no elevator. Those who don't travel light may find it a workout to get bags to your room. In our case, the check-in person (Andrea) sprinted up the stairs with our heaviest bag.

We have been to Quebec City 4 times and have stayed in the big hotels and other boutique hotels. This hotel was fabulous. The location is terrific, one block away from shopping and restaurants. Parking was no issue. All the staff was fantastic. This is a small boutique hotel with very nice rooms and extremely comfortable beds. If you would like an old style room with stone walls and an authentic old european feel you must ask for room 52 or 53. We stayed in room 52, it was great. We saw the other rooms and they were beautiful also. Would we stay there again, absolutely 100% yes. We would go out of our way to book this hotel the next time we are in Quebec City,

No complaints at all

I spent two nights in Quebec with my two teenage girls. We loved the location, it was near everything but on a more quiet street. I loved the parking location, even though it was down the street from the hotel, because I could easily get in and out. The hotel has a cool vintage vibe to it that my girls loved. But my favorite part was that the people at the desk were super nice, especially the women who was there in the evening who had excellent food recommendations.

The hotel itself was small, beautiful, and very special. The staff were as amazing. They really took care of us and gave great advice. The food was also very good. We had crepes for breakfast and pizza when we arrived late off the plane. Delicious! The location was as good as it gets and we were sorry to leave.

There is no elevator and we were mostly on the 4th floor. But the staff carried our luggage up for us. The experience was well worth climbing a few stairs.

First of all, hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful from checkin to checkout, sharing with us all the dos and donts in the city. Instructions to the hotel parking lot were crisp and clear. The room was quiet and clean (amazing mattress!). We definitely recommend this hotel to whoever visiting Québec city - the hotel is in the middle of the city, all the sightseeing spots and great restaurants are all within walkable distances.

Desk staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Property is well-maintained, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for showers, located within an eadt 5-10 minute walk to prime attractions, dining and shopping.

No elevators. 4 story building. I am older and stayed on the top floor. It is manageable but people with mobility issues should talk to the facility before choosing a room.

Breakfast was fine, convenient and a fair piece, but would be nicer as part of the room price. Charge a bit more for the room and include the breakfast.

In was impossible to get a hold of management when we arrived! The phone number “Harold” gave us a voice mail response that they would return the call. They never did. We called a half dozen times over several hours. No response. Very frustrating!

Manoir d’Auteuil is lovely and in a beautiful location, near everything we wanted to see & walk to! As soon as we walked into the lobby, Nancy greeted & welcomed us with kindness & a smile. We selected a King room and we were so pleased with the style, decor, cleanliness & comfort! We also had a beautiful view of the park across the street, an added & unexpected bonus! Breakfast was included in the booking and each morning we had a choice between two delicious selections! Our server Soa & our Hostess Linda we’re just the sweetest and we looked forward to seeing them both each morning. Roque also assisted us at the desk with my reservation and took excellent care of us! Wonderful experience in every way! I’m so thrilled I selected Manoir d’Auteuil and look forward to staying here everytime we visit Quebec City!

Nothing not to like. Everything is wonderful!

We hit Quebec City in the peak of fall. The trees are on fire outside our room. This room was beautiful and cozy and let us pay a small fee to stay until our train the next day. It was so comforting to be able to come back to the room for a little nap and break. The bed was fluffy, there was a bath that I lounged in, there was delicious coffee and tea available. We want to go back to Quebec City and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Check-in/bag holding was a little messy coming at the crack of dawn off a cruise ship. Understandable.
