This is a new hotel. I booked it because of the location (old town Quebec City), and value. If you expect luxury, then this hotel will disappoint you. The rooms are small, which is okay because of the value and the location. There is a table and there is a bed. But you can't have both at the same time. We were seldom in the room, so we never used the table. You can make your own breakfast which is very nice. The hotel provides raw eggs and pancake mix. No bread. The coffee from the machine is quite nice. We went to a local convenience store called "Epicerie Richard", 5 minutes walk. You can buy croissants, bread, bagels, and fruits (apples, oranges, bananas, and more). We bought ham and cheese croissants the night before, put in the fridge for next morning's breakfast. Just add eggs. There is no parking space. The public parking at City Hall is 5 minutes away by foot (but 10 minutes driving because of the one-ways). Pricing is reasonable. We stayed 3 nights so we left the car there for the entire stay. Needed to get stuff out of the car a few times. Easy walk. If you think you need to access the car, tip is to park the car near the Exit of the parking garage, instead of the Entrance. If you will be arriving after 9 pm, better contact the hotel ahead of time. The hotel is basically self-served. The keys are made using a machine. Without the help of a staff, I wouldn't be able to make the key. I think there is a staff 9 am to 9 pm. The only thing we didn't like was the elevator. You have to push and hold the button, or the elevator won't move. Most people just walk the stairs, because the hotel is only 3 floors. I have a foot problem so I have to use the elevator. The other confusion is cleaning after breakfast. I can't figure out the rules. Are we supposed to wash by hand or leave in the dishwasher? I'm used to wash by hand so I just did it.

The concept is great. The room was clean. Location is perfect. The staff was very helpful. Loved the kitchen concept and the coffee machine was a good addition.

The room is very small. I was charged on a 100 dollar credit twice and still did not get it back

The room was tiny as advertised. The platform bed that went up to the ceiling during the day was quite clever. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and comforter were of exceptional quality. The room was simple, but very functional. It took me a minute to figure out the shower controls. The furniture was functional and I had everything that I needed in that tiny space. The coffee machine in the breakfast area was great!

The breakfast offerings were very basic, but I loved the coffee machine that could make espressos and lattes. I love the little pastry shops in Quebec City, so I just went out to breakfast the first day, and only stayed in for cereal the day I left.

location was amazing & staff were very kind/helpful. loved the courtyard & the upstairs patio with fire pit was unexpected but very lovely. yes the rooms as small but my husband and I didn’t have a problem. the shower head is fabulous as well.

there are a couple things that need up keep. the main door inside, the latch doesn’t work therefore the door doesn’t. the wine machine stopped working (but they had an option at their sister hotel next door so was ok), and then the coffee machine stopped working. just little things that on their own, not a big deal but something to note all together.

Location: right in the heart of old town. Old building with high ceiling & tastefully designed Roof top terasse Comfy bed

Nothing in particular just that the room size and space is really small. One has to fold up the table nightly to bring down the bed. Would appreciate more hooks as there's no closet. There's some storage space in the boxy bench though. Breakfast is self-service: one gets to prepare one's own breakfast and wash up too. Is more like a hostel than a hotel, hence it is really pricey. I suppose one pays for the location.

Check-in process was quick and easy. Staff were helpful. Room and linen were clean. Location was excellent.

Didn't expect the room to be the size of an Ikea showroom display. There was literally no room to climb onto the bed in a normal way without banging one's head on the TV. We asked for 2 rooms next to each other but they were so far apart we had to use different entrances to get to our rooms and the only way to meet each other was in the common areas. Anyway, the rooms were so small that we couldn't have fit 4 people in them standing up.

I was okay with the bed raising and lowering. The mechanism worked well and it was easy to raise and lower. My only problem was having to climb over my husband at night. I loved the shower stall and it was a nice shower. We loved the upper deck and the ground floor patio. We loved the location—close to Rue St Jean as well as the Place des Armes. We did use the kitchen and I liked the yogurt, cereal, etc. the coffee machine was broken while we were there but we were able to get coffee at the hotel next door.

A few more detailed explanations of things for the kitchen in print would have been nice. Not all of our group are internet users.

- Very good, quiet location, less than 15-minute walk from/to the central station—as it is the case everywhere in Québec, be that it is a slightly steep walk from the station to get anywhere in the city centre virtually. However, walking to/from most attractions goes through stairs and not-so-steep roads - Very friendly and helpful staff - Very comfortable bed and pillows, great black-out blinds and air condition - Small fridge in the room - Great shower - Guest kitchen with access to breakfast and other amenities (such as still/sparkling water dispenser).

Amazing property, superb location and modern style! I loved my room. It had brick stone walls on 2 sides of the room which made it feel even more cozy. Everything was super clean and all the facilities worked as advertised. The roof top terrace is nice, but since Québec is on a hill, it's not overlooking the city as you might imagine.

I arrived after 9PM. I ringed the bell and were told to go to the door to the right? I couldn't find any door that would lead to the hotel, other than the main door I was already at. I was left in the rain running around with all my luggage and possibly wrong instructions. I only entered the building because someone else was leaving and opening the door. Inside, there was the receptionist with with my keys in the hand. Really!? Couldn't she just walk those 3 meters and open the door for me? That was so unnecessary. In terms of the room: it is suitable for one person. It will be difficult for 2 people. I traveled alone and it was just fine.

Great and modern hotel with a creative approach to make the most of little space. It was a highlight of our trip. You always discover new things in the room. The kitchen for shared use and the breakfast were great. A bit of a hostel feel but with rather different clientele. The staff was super kind and helpful. The location in the middle of Quebec is great.

Partly, hints on how to use the equipment optimally would still be helpful. For example, my mother couldn't find the hair dryer at first and I didn't understand how to get the bed down. But figuring this out was also fun.
