Location was good close to shops, beach and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was very nice.

The room had a nice claw foot bathtub and I was thinking of taking a bath but when I moved the bath mat, I found that the tub had been painted and the paint was peeling off almost everywhere under the mat. I was alittle disappointed.

Convenient location to everything on the main strip. Free coffee, teas, oatmeal, snack bars and a pancake making machine in the lobby each morning. Free use of a microwave for guests and my room had a small refrigerator. Basic accommodations, nothing fancy here but for the price it's a great choice. Historic old building and you can see the blue Hotel Catalina sign when you pull into dock. Short walk through tourist area to hotel. Nice communal balconies to lounge about during the day or morning time with your coffee.

I loved the location , I was able to see the beach from my room's window. I liked the location as it is in the middle of town, easy to go the Descanso beach and restaurants and shops as well. Very quiet, I had a lovely and peaceful night. I will be back next time, I loved the cottage where we stayed.

The room does not have a coffe machine, however you can get a coffe at the lobby.

Working hot tub would have been nice!

The vibe of the hotel was very nice and had a homey feeling to it. The room was pretty nice, exactly as shown in pictures, wonderful view. The balcony was nice to sit in on during the night.

The hotel is up a hill, and it was a pain to walk there, especially at arrival with luggage, but that was on me for not fully researching its location. Aside from that, it's an overall pleasant place to stay at. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very nice. The location was perfect! Far enough off Crescent Ave to be quiet but only a 2 minute walk to get to the main street. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

There was a fridge but no microwave or small coffee maker. The bathroom was very small not enough room to bend over in the shower. Be aware there is no A/C or heater.

We loved the cottage we were in. It was fabulous!

We were there one day for my granddaughters 18th birthday after spending two days in Westwood and I had 1 medium size tote bag that was actually quite heavy after some time. After morning checkout, the receptionist did not know that our trip back to the mainland wasn't until 8:00 pm, which meant that we would have (me) been carrying 2 bags all day. Before leaving, I assume she was the receptionist, without any clue she told me that I could leave my bag there to pick up later showing genuine kindness and goodness. She represents your hotel in my mind forever. She reached out beyond the hotel and represented the entire island. This was our first trip to Catalina and the best trip ever! We will be back time and time again and we are Team Hotel Catalina. Your staff is amazing!

The heater did not work. The first night was cold. Next day they gave us a small heater that made a difference. Not enough electrical plugs. Had to slam the door to close. Was looking forward to hot tub. It was broken. No coffee maker in room.

I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel after checkout while I waited for the ferry. Staff was very friendly and willing to help! Location is central Avalon which was nice because it took about 15 minutes to get anywhere you wanted on foot in either direction.

Very limited breakfast options & you need to be down early or there's nothing left. I booked a room with no air - which was fine - but if it was any warmer outside it would have been a problem.
