Our room at the White Hart was spacious and comortable - the bed was very wide as it was two 3 feet beds joined together but these can be seperated on request. The room was also spotlessly clean. The view from our room was superb - it looked out across the rear lawn and the river estuary beyond. The hotel is close to RSPB Minsmere, as well as southwold and Aldeburgh.
WIFI coverage in the room was non existent.

The location was fabulous. Views from the room across the estuary. Walking through the pub garden directly onto a footpath around the estuary. Lots of birds to see, including curlews and cuckoos. Accommodation was excellent, comfortable and clean. Food was good - especially Thursday night special of moules et frites! Staff were thoughtful and efficient. Visiting Blythborough church and joining a free guided tour - so much to see.
Just a small thing but with just curtains and being midsummer the room became flooded with sunlight very early in the morning. A blackout blind would have helped, but the outstanding view more than compensated for this.

It was a pleasure to spend the weekend at The White Hart Inn. The location is great, with easy road access and beautiful surrounding countryside whilst being within easy reach of Southwold. Our room was lovely and big, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely welcoming to us and our dog throughout our stay. They are a hardworking, friendly team doing a great job. The bar and restaurant area is cosy and inviting with a roaring fire which was welcome after a long walk in the wind and rain. We tried a few different things from the menu over the two days and honestly cannot fault the food. Everything we ate was exceptional with plenty of vegetarian and meat options to choose from. We would happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the White Hart to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Fantastic location with views over the Blyth Estuary. Excellent food, three well-kept ales and the staff were really great, so friendly. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Convenient location for many local attractions, Aldeburgh, Snape, Walberswick, Southwold, etc. Lots of bird life on the estuary. Apart from the Britten, Pears, Imogen Holst connection to Aldeburgh/Snape, Blythburgh was the home of William Alwyn and Doreen (Mary) Carwithen, The old station is being re-constructed and worth a visit.
Unfortunately, they were having trouble with the hot water system resulting in luke-warm/cold showers. The aweful A12 road is not within their control.

The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh fruit and yogurt. Although the inn is on a main road, there is a village speed limit so entering and exiting turned out not to be a problem. And because our room was facing away from the road, it was surprisingly quiet. Plus there was a stunning view of the river and land beyond from our window. And the church in the village was so beautiful and turned out to be a wonderful venue for the staging of Curlew River. Altogether, our stay was delightful.
If I was looking for something to criticize it was the smell of frying as we came out of our room but that is presumably because the kitchen was close by. But it really was not a problem.

We loved the White Hart. We have never stayed before but it certainly won't be the last time. The views from the beer garden to the Blyth estuary would be stunning on a sunny day (unfortunately, it rained whilst we were there) and the village of Blythburgh is very pretty. We had a lovely welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was Moules Thursday (every Thursday whilst mussels are in season) and they were absolutely delicious as was the trout starter.

Good comfortable room in a lovely location right on the river. Staff and pub were really nice. Pub had very little veggie options for dinner but the chef made a nice salad which was appreciated.
Nothing made a significant negative impact on our stay but if I had to pick... No hand soap in bathroom but there was shower gel to use. Expensive starter of toasted bread with oil and vinegar was very burnt. One of the pillow cases looked like it had mould on it but we only noticed when stripping the sheets.

The location was perfect for a weekend event we were attending with good parking. The breakfast and lunch/evening menu included choices to suit everyone.
Breakfast was included in our booking and selections were requested the previous evening. We were disappointed that after a request for an early breakfast, I.e 8.15am we were served at 8.55 and subsequently late for a local meeting. We didn’t take breakfast on our second day. An additional member of staff would have helped for the breakfast service.

The situation was gorgeous. Our bed was comfortable. It was quite quiet in spite of the road. The lady who cleaned most mornings was lovely and went out of her way to help us and was pleasant with it.
Breakfast took ages to serve even though it was pre ordered. The choice wasn’t great either. Service was very patchy. Staff need customer service training and to smile! We decided not to eat dinner there for that reason and also dinner prices were far too inflated for what was on offer.

We had a wonderful stay. Every member of staff we engaged with was welcoming, friendly and professional. The service at the bar, at breakfast and at dinner was excellent. The food at dinner and breakfast was outstanding and of a high quality - a real treat. Room was well prepared and clean and comfortable with beautiful views.
Nothing - maybe menus in the rooms so that we could have an idea in advance of what was available. Having said that the service was efficient and at no time did we feel like we were being kept waiting.
