There was a lot to like in this new hotel, first of all the attention to detail in the decoration, from floor to ceiling there is an abundance of good taste. We had a double room with very comfortable beds, the lights and power points well thought out, an Eamon chair by the window with an arching light that was great to flop into after a long day. Bathroom shower had lots of pressure and no waiting for hot water. The entire place was very clean. The staff were very helpful especially in the morning at the breakfast buffet. A great spread with cooked breakfast deli meats and cheeses, abundant fruit and a variety of breads and pastries. We also enjoyed the buffet lunch although I found it a bit pricey at $25pp but food was tasty, abundant and includes a soft drink.

The bedroom did have a slight musty smell but you don't notice it after a few minutes. While the location is great for getting the metro at el Carmen, I do find that area of the neighborhood a bit scruffy with a poor selection of eating places in the immediate vicinity. A menu of pillows would be a nice to have.

nice design, comfortable room and bed! The rooftop pool was really nice and private. to top it off the breakfast was delicious!! Best hotel breakfast I’ve had in Panama for sure!

The price is a little high for a so-so area but I still loved our stay.

The location close to the metro (a 5 min walk) the great and varied breakfast, and the good WiFi were highlights, as well as the very service-oriented staff. The pool was great for cooling off from the sweltering heat of the city - and the gym was top notch!

Being in the tropics, humidity is part of life. However, room 609 would benefit from a thorough drying/treatment as the smell, while not intense, was a bit bothersome - and some of my clothes caught some of it. Nothing major but if you have respiratory conditions such as asthma I would recommend a different room. The sunbeds would also benefit from a little TLC in that regard. I mention these things considering the hotel’s 5 star category.

Clean rooms and creative modern style with nice led lighting. Quick and nice sized elevators. Breakfast was decent. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Nice pool area and bar which is a nice place to hang out at night. Also courtesy water refilled on the second day which is an important detail that gets overlooked in a lot of hotels in Panamá. Good window insulation as we could barely hear the traffic right in front of our room.

No bin in our room, but sure it was just left out of our room. Car park is quite far away from hotel and has no shade for cars

We had a great stay. The rooms are very big, high quality, well functioning. We had a room with small kitchen and we used that. Also nice coffee in the room. There is a super gym and beautiful roof top with pool. The ladies in the reception are outstanding. They are so kind, attentive and helpful. They helped us arrange a dental appointment, gave us very valuable travel advice and tour ideas. We were very grateful for that. Our stay in Panama City was outstanding and Gran Evenia was a superb base for that. We will come back.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The facilities, hotel condition (its new), hygiene, staff, breakfast and BEDS are all excellent! Easily the best i have experienced in the region. The front of house reception team are incredibly welcoming, warm and engaging ...helpful beyond expectation....all the team were wonderful but the 2 names that stick in my mind are Liz and Melanie I forgot to mention the breakfast......its excellent....smaller range than the big chains...but the quality, presentation and frequency of replenishment more than makes up the gap! and a beautiful ambience in the dining room........

Everything about this place was beyond exceptional - all of the employees, the customer service, the food, the atmosphere...I was blown away by how wonderful the entire stay was. I would give this five stars and would highly recommend staying here.

We loved staying here, the staff is very friendly, the hotel is well positioned near a lot of shops, restaurants, on a big boulevard, so going out in the night felt also safe. The breakfast was good. The room was well cleaned every day. The pool is spatious, the view is nice and it was never crowded when we visited :)

Don’t know, maybe keeping the bar open at the pool also during the day would be a plus. You can order from the restaurant but takes a while :)

Good situation 200 m from the metro Iglesia del carmen in a relatively safe area. Some minisupermarkets around. All personal friendly and polite. Huge hotel with 2 lifts. Large room with comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Good view from large windows. Fridge. TV. Wi-Fi strong. Lots of lights. Daily room cleaning. Buffet breakfast very good with lots of things. The breakfast area is pleasant. Rooftop with a swimming pool and room for weight or exercise training . Good value for money. This is one of the cheapest 5 or 4 stars in the area. The pictures on Booking.com reflect well this hotel.

Some badly educated people came to the swimming pool with their loudspeaker and music. It should be forbidden.

super modern hotel with a good size room really great quality breakfast. eggs, bacon and pancake were on point and I like the selection of fruits like pineapple and papaya beds were so comfortable and soft and clean, I had the best quality sleep and feeling refreshed daily soundproofing was adequate as well, didn't get disturbed from those outside. complimentary water was a nice touch and it was refilled everyday location was perfect, walking distance (7min) from the metro station and a nearby big supermarket a lot of socket plugs in the room which was convenient for charging appliances

hot water wasn't hot enough (over 40degrees celsius) for my liking! we had cutlery left in the room and housekeeping did not take it away despite coming in to clean on a daily basis! no box tissue in toilet
