Location is fantastic: gorgeous riverfront a block away, sandwiched between 2 parks, and an easy walk to everything in Old Quebec. We stayed in their Luxury Suite which was large, had some character, and a peek-a-boo view of the river. The decor felt dated but the positives outweighed the thrifty vibe. Big, big plus was the parking!

The decor felt dated to be called a luxury suite: random knick-knacks, curtains a bit granny, feeling was a bit of a mish-mash of contents. While the tub was huge, the shower stall was tight.

We knew when booking that we were getting a small room with a double bed, but this was a late booking for a Saturday of a long weekend. Staff were most helpful and everything went very well. The room was in fact small but it was very clean and restful. The hotel provides parking (for a very reasonable fee) in an area of town where it is hard to come by. The location is ideal if one wants to be close to the historical and cultural centre of Quebec city with plenty of restaurants nearby, the Dufferin Terrace and the Citadel, and to walk down to the Old City. There are some very beautiful rooms in this vintage hotel.

We could hear our neighbours talking in the next room but it didn't last long. On the other hand there was no street noise, so we slept well.

The location was 2 minutes to the boardwalk and the same to the Chateau Frontenac. It is located on a very quiet street with a lovely park just across the street. Many restaurants were less than a 10 minute walk. The room we had was quite large and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is old-world. Very European. The stairs are very narrow and you need to take your luggage to your room yourself. As we have stayed at many old hotels in Europe, this was not an issue for us. We had a lovely, quite large room, but the bathroom was extremely small.

The location is great, the hotel is super cute and clean, parking set up is very well organized regardless of some negative notice I read online, the staff is ultra sweet & thoughtful insuring you have everything you need to get set up in your room, even for people who arrive later when they aren’t on site.

The only thing that really caught my attention for not leaving a perfect review was the mold that I spotted in our room’s AC. Being someone who’s very sensitive about this health wise, my mom got very sick because of this once, I was kinda worried and happy we didn’t stay longer than a day. If you are travelling there, or anywhere for that matter make sure you have supplements to prevent mold toxicity and remember to do a mold detox when you get back home.

The location and character of the hotel are exceptional; it is located in a heritage row facing the Chateau Frontenac beside the Jardin des Gouverneurs which overlooks the St Laurent River. My attractive little room on the top floor had a modern shower-bathroom and a deck looking towards the Citadel.

Communications were not great. I was arriving after 5pm and - without having informed me this would be done - a code to enter was emailed to me at 3pm while I was still travelling. This led to minor complications in getting into the hotel since the staff leaves at 5pm.

Superb location within the fortified city walls! Beautiful neighborhood. Central to the touristy zone of Quebec City. The Hotel is in a beautiful old building. Rooms are well decorated with feature stone walls. Floors creak and are crooked, as you would expect in a 180yr old building. This is a small hotel and you get a personable service. You might be able to get a parking spot if you ask ahead, and for an honest price which is rare in this area of town.

The bed was a little hard. The shower barely gets warm, even after 5 minutes of running.

This was the third time I’ve stayed at Manoir sur le Cap. It’s very convenient to all the attractions of Old Quebec. The old stone building itself is an attraction for me. The owners have changed but the quality remains high. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, furniture antique. This time there was parking behind the hotel, which is a big improvement over the offsite parking of the past.

Nothing really. The price (admittedly during Winter Carneval, a busy time) was not the bargain it was years ago but it was worth it.

The bathroom was newly redone. The room was a good size and the location was excellent in old town Quebec City.

Our shower handle had been broken by a previous occupant of the room and we had to get the owners to fix it. We had to walk up 56 stairs to our room and there are no elevators.

This clean quiet hotel is perfectly situated across a garden from the Chateau Frontenac. We stayed in room number one, which is located in the first floor at the front of the hotel. We could see the Chateau from our window, but we weren’t disturbed by street noise, even during the summer music festival taking place on the Plains of Abraham nearby. Staff were very friendly, beds were comfortable and it was lovely to stay in a historic building within the walls of Old Quebec City.

We liked everything about the property. We were very sad to leave and definitely plan to return.

The hotel was loaded with old world charm! Our room was beautiful with a stone wall, high ceiling and beams. It was only a few steps from chateau Frontinac and the boardwalk along the st. Lawrence! We loved it!

The only issue could have been was that we were on the third floor. Anyone with mobility issues could not have handled the climb up the spiral staircase. In our case it was fine. It's not something that can be changed , so either you are up for it , or if not able make sure you request a room on the lower level.
