The rooms are very beautifull. The hotel is located directly at the beachfront. We enjoyed a breakfast at the beach at the day of our leave, at the suggestion of the hotel. We also received a free dinner at the buffet and some drinks at the room. The staff is very friendly and will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. Free champagne during breakfast!

The prices of the food in this hotel are ridiculous. The prices at the seychelles are generally high because of the import, but this hotel managed to double it. We had a buffet meal, a bottle of water, one glass of wine and one glass of beer. We had to pay €160 euro's for this meal. Even the half of this price would be expensive. A service fee of 10% is standard included in the price, wich is ridiculously high considering the prices. I would never tip €16 euro at a buffet. The music playlist at the beach is awfull. There's a lot of good music on the islands, but it is not to be found near the pool of this hotel.

The resort is absolutely stunning, you feel relaxed as soon as you step in the property. The pool is fantastic, with great views of the hills and of the beach. Suites are spacious and comfortable. We were on our honeymoon and we had nice touches, which was very sweet. Beau Vallon beach is beautiful, sadly in September there was plankton in the sea which meant it was quite itchy to go in the water, so we spent our time by the pool. There’s a bus stop right by the hotel to go to Victoria for really cheap (staff at reception will give you the schedule if you ask) - much better to pay 12 rupees than 300 rupees for a 10min drive! Trader Vic’s is AMAZING. The cocktails and the food was incredible, one of the best meals. The environment is also fantastic.

We were expecting a Nespresso machine in the room. All of the 5* star hotels we stayed in the Seychelles had and this one didn’t, except in their beach villas. Buffet food is good but could be much better. Variety is limited and it’s not incredible.

The accommodation and location was first class. We had a Beach villa which was perfect. The reception area and reception staff were very helpful. Everywhere throughout the hotel was very clean.

Service in the buffet restaurant and where breakfast is served was sometimes extremely slow.

We loved, loved the breakfast buffet. It was amazing. The dinner buffet - with every evening a different theme was also absolutely fabulous. Especially the middle east food evening and the indian food evening were exceptional.. The beach in front of the resort was Fantastic.

Well the only thing that is quite a thing, is the price of food and drinks. The quality is very good however it is very expensive. I believe for a location like this and a resort like this you expect it to be expensive and because the quality of the food was very good, it is somehow acceptable. However, it would be nice to have for lunch eg a simple option that is not too expensive...Especially when you are there with kids, it would be nice to have a good affordable lunch option eg pizza or viennas.

Beautiful resort, very well kept. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the bath. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Food and drink prices are very high. Finding an available spot at the pool was tough, especially if you want a place in the shade. Some areas of the beach are very rocky, I think the resort should warn guests about that as I got some bruises on my feet.

It was wonderful! We booked Story for our Honeymoon and it exceeded our expecations. The best honeymoon surprise was a room upgrade into the beach villa (which we didn't expect at all) and this just made our week :-). This beautiful villa with almost private access to the beach and its own plunge pool is so quiet and comfy that we stayed there most of the time. Room service regularly comes and checks on you. A big plus are the unlimited glass bottles of their fresh water supply which is a sustainable solution for all guests. Furthermore, we also chose this hotel because it is an award winning eco-hotel with lots of great initiatives. All their staff is friendly and helpful and we loved the positive and tranquil vibe in the resort. Breakfast and dinner are directly at the beach with lovely views over the ocean. I LOVED the food!!! We ate at the buffet restaurant every day and it never got boring because of the fresh and huge variety of dishes on offer and the desserts are to die for! All in all it was the best holidays we've ever had.

The alcohol prices are very high and not in relation. We would have consumed more if wines and even local beer would have been slightly cheaper. I recommend to cool more dishes such as raw fish and joghurt at the buffet station since it is really warm around this area. Since it is a sustainable hotel I would have expected more vegan options e.g. coconut joghurt, spreads for bfst; vegan curries, etc. but this would just be a nice add on. Overall super happy with the food quality and choice!

I loved the beautiful buildings traditional and immersed in the nature. Human size ! I loved the the design simple and elegant, never pretentious and never anonymous. The mattress was heaven. The rooms had parquet floors and very important in the area a dehumidifier so we could sleep in a nice and dry room. Food of the buffet restaurant was excellent and had many gluten free option and the chefs were always happy to check with me. Spa amazing and had an incredible massage treatment. The best part then was the kids club. It’s clearly created by someone who knows about kids. It had an outer space for activities and inside it was beautiful full of wooden toys. No useless plastic or mainstream stuff. The have a wide program of creative activities…with colours coconuts and much more. Jackie the teacher was super fun and expert. She loves kids and is very good in connecting with them and involving them in creative activities. She is a special lady and my daughter who goes to a Waldorf school loved Jackie and the place. She never wanted to leave ! I had fun too and learned new activities to do with her at home. They also let me stay for a late checkout and it was very good as I had a small kid.

It’s very difficult to get local fruit and coconut. I was upset the first day but the next day they had avocado and papaya and were really trying to to their best.

The gardens! The nature is so beautiful in this place. They are very well maintained. The staff is super kind, and they try very hard to get the service to a 5 star level. We stayed in a villa and it was beautiful. Right on the ocean beach front, just steps away. The room was spacious enough for a family of 3. My favorite was the outdoor shower, felt like showering in the jungle. The place is also very baby friendly. They welcome babies in restaurants, and there are many families. Our baby even made a friend. The pool is picturesque with the mountains in the background, coconut trees, and ocean views. In truth, this place is just like from a story. You won't believe it is real, but the pictures in booking and Google don't do it justice. Also for those worried about animals, there are no snakes or insects.

The food 🫣 it was difficult to enjoy our stay to the maximum when you can't enjoy your meals. The local kitchen is everything deep fried. Even breakfast is heavy. They also have a Japanese restaurant, but if you've been to Japan, then you can't be fooled. The buffet is nice , and they offer different theme nights every evening, but it is so completely overpriced, poor choice, and again very heavy foods. Also if you expected to eat tropical friits. You will be disappointed because they offered apple, kiwi, banana and oranges. P.s. there is a supermarket just across the streeet. Overall if you can get past the food aspect and remember that island life is slow, then you will have a great time.

The Story Hotel is situated on the best beach on the whole of Mahe - Beau Vallon Bay. The sand is soft and white and kept very clean. The Swimming pool is a magical place to relax and experience the tropical atmosphere. This place really has the aura of paradise.

The Breakfast restaurant setting is wonderful- a few steps from the beach and the waves. The food , though , is medium and has been better in previous years. The fixed fruit- and cheese platters is almost a disgrace- one is unable to make a choice to satisfy your own tastes. The egg-station follows the same principles- the order is placed with the waiter instead of the chef himself - therefore the product is mostly not what you actually want. The service , though , is friendly and efficient. It is best to avoid the Hotel restaurants - very expensive and the food is never the quality expected.
