We booked in for one night's stay prior to going to the ballet in Kosice for my wife's birthday. The hotel was ideally located, literally opposite the theatre and ballet. Breakfast was great, really good choice of pastries and hot food, sausages and eggs etc. Good coffee machine and waiters happy to bring a stronger flat white coffee on request. Loved all the Art Deco on the walls too. Room a decent size, clean and comfortable.

The food was beautifully presented - recommend the schnitzel and the soup. One of the dishes, the duck pate didn't quite work for us and the cremante (fizzy wine like prosecco) we ordered came flat, though the waitress apologized and replaced it immediately, free of change. Worth being aware that you need to reserve parking and it is a bit tight under the hotel - medieval walls weren't made for large cars (!) Overall a lovely stay though.

The hotel is really on a very high level. You will experience vibe of the old times with the tradition of Austria-Hungary architecture and style, and at a very friendly price. The rooms are spacious, pleasantly furnished, everything clean. The staff is kind and helpful, they give advice and are always available. We also used the services of the restaurant and we were delighted. They also allow free parking for an additional fee. We would love to come back again!

The selection of food at the breakfast is quite small, mainly focused on meat products and eggs, it would be nice to expand the offer.

Slavia was definitely the best experience I've got from an hotel stay for the last several year and I've travelled in 12-15 countries recently. Great location, clean room, amazing large comfortable beds. Breakfast is 10+, nice selection of foods. The building itself is very clean, nicely decorated. Very large bathrooms, the bath itself is superb. High ceilings (~4.3m) makes you feel in a castle. Closets with plenty of selves with a nice lighting when you open the doors. Great view from the balcony. Nice bar and restaurant on the first floor. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

Nothing important to mention here, everything was perfect, far beyond expectations.

Really nice old building right in the centre of Main Street. Great location for everything, including train and bus stations. My room was on the second floor( they do not have a first floor) with a city view. The room was very large and very clean. Very comfortable bed and very quiet even though my window was looking out on Main Street. The bar was very relaxed and the menu was good and good value. The staff were amazing and nothing was trouble to them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kosice.

If I had one small problem, it is that at breakfast, there was no fruit. Lots of everything else, eggs bacon pastries but no fruit. But do not let this change your mind about staying here as there is all the fruit you want in cafés just outside the door

The hotel is in the very heart of the city of kosice, approx. 15 minutes on foot from the train station. Downstairs at the reception were pleasant staff, the room smelled of cleanliness, it was tidy and very cozy. I even had a room with a bathtub, which is another plus. there was a quality hairdryer and cosmetics in the bathroom. the bed was very comfortable (but that's subjective). The room was quiet and I really loved the stay in this hotel. The breakfast was also delicious.

I personally do not consider it a minus, but the windows of the room (bedroom, bathroom) were facing the corridor / atrium. However, the windows could be easily covered with curtains or blinds. If you have food intolerances (lactose, gluten), there were not so many options at breakfast but still I could find something to eat :)

Location was brilliant, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was excellent,especially the breakfast,room is clean and comfortable, I would highly recommend this hotel especially for Location.

I was a bit disappointed with the room as it didn't have a external window to open, at the time of booking the room showed a room with windows, i didn't realise that the windows only led into a common area. I did request another room but none was available, with the exception of a attic room, I have a condition called c.o.p.d, breathing difficulties.

Every staff member from the front desk to the servers in the restaurant were exceptionally helpful and friendly and ALWAYS accommodating to any questions or requests we had. The food/drinks and location were perfect and made for an incredible stay while we were in Košice celebrating our wedding. We will happily return next time we are in town!

We cannot complain about much of anything. If we are really being picky, maybe a few more options on the tv, but this was not at all a problem.

Beautiful facility - the exterior already is welcoming you with nice lights/colors and i really enjoyed the interior. That was simply amazing. One can enjoy variety of Brandy's in stylish bar (not even too expensive). We had 3 rooms, the ones on the 4th floor were very spacious. All of them were cozy. People at the reception were nice and friendly, so does the staff at breakfast or bar. Location as such is an advantage - you are in the straight middle of Kosice - everything you need is to be reach by walk. So practical

just 2 things - rooms facing the square could be a bit noisy over the weekend...but that's something you count with when selecting a hotel in downtown with a lot of bars around. From the same street, be sure you are going to wake at 7am due to noisy bells from nearby church. (pain that can't be fixed by any hotel on the Hlavna street - unfortunately. Not sure it happens daily, but saturday morning it did). One minor thing the hotel should change is the scrambled eggs (prazenica) served at the breakfast. Guys, please - it had no taste, no texture, nosalt. Was there milk in it or something? We were 6, and agreed this can't be even called prazenica. I am sure you can fix this one ;-)

As others have said, the photos don't do this place justice. We upgraded our room and had a beautiful little balcony overlooking the old town, yet the room was exceptionally quiet. The free breakfast was a bonus and was quite decent. Separate toilet room and a room with a soaker tub, and a huge room. Great value for the money!

Parking in the area is terrible. Take advantage and reserve a spot in the hotel's underground parking. Note that this is a small lot so you WILL need to book ahead!

The location is unbeatable - directly on the main square. The hotel is beautiful - a gorgeous art nouveau building that has been beautifully renovated with high quality materials and thoughtful touches everywhere (in the rooms, in the common areas (such as the restaurant) and on the exterior). The technical facilities (wifi and A/C) worked well, EXCEPT for the elevator, which was broken about half the time we were there (and there is only one elevator). The price was extremely reasonable.

The renovation is beautiful, but some strange choices have been made: our bathroom had a bath with a handheld shower head, but NO shower stall - this was an insane choice; they should have used the space for a shower stall. (I don't know about other rooms.) As I mentioned, the elevator was broken, which could have been a nightmare for an older couple. The breakfast was mediocre, which surprised me because we had dinner in the hotel the night before and it was very good (especially the deserts). If you come with a car, it is imperative to book a space in the hotel's underground parking and it is a good idea not to have too big a car - it's tight down there.
