The breakfast was nothing like the usual hotel food. It was fresh, modern, healthy, rich, and also reflected the local gastronomy. We did also dine there two times, and the food with the Slovenian wines were amazing. Worth every penny! The staff were super friendly and yet gave us privacy. The cozy wellness section was very clean and requires reservations, which is a fantastic idea to keep it relaxing. Our room was super stylish and spotless. We loved every tiny detail of it.

Nothing! We loved every bit of our stay, but if you travel with kids or pets it is not for you.

Sunrose is an exceptionally good boutique hotel, featuring a fine dining restaurant and a tasteful private wellness. The staff are very kind, relaxed and flexible. The town is postcard-perfect, ideal for a hiking holiday in the Julian Alps.

The restaurant is only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday (they serve breakfast every day). In case you book a basic room, they charge (a reasonable) extra for the use of the wellness facilities. I was not annoyed, because I found these information on the hotel's website, but they are not available on the hotel's Booking.com page, so be careful.

Wonderfully efficient and friendly staff; relaxing and stylish ambience; comfortable room with view towards the river of the garden and pool. We really enjoyed our spa session, beautifully set up for us, and had two excellent dinners in the restaurant. Breakfasts also impressive and the charcuterie and cheeses plate which we ordered for our late arrival was varied and delicious!

It would just have been nice to make a cup of tea in the room - but only a minor niggle!

Beyond our expectations - very cool interiors, super friendly staff and good onsite restaurant. Really nice outdoor space to have drinks next to the river. Rooms we really nice, with nice outlook over the garden. The area was quiet, but easy distance to the nearby Lake Bohinj, easy drive to Bled. They also had access to a wellness spa at the sister hotel across the road, but we did not find the time to visit during our stay.

The only thing I can think to improve on was to give people options to have less courses at dinner - the food was great, lots of nice wine too, but I can't do a 4 course menu every night!

Exceptional design and architecture - combining old with the new. The whole vibe is very relaxing, perfect for couples and a weekend getaway. Spa is included with the room, it is very intimate and private, it makes you wanna stay longer. The food was awesome - dinner was on the highest level possible and don‘t be afraid you will be full at the end of the night; breakfast includes best Slovenian dishes and everyone can find something for themselves. The garden is beautiful!

The sunrose 7 is a beautifully styled boutique hotel and the perfect base to explore the lake Bled area. Our room was very unique as it had a glass hangout place attached to it, perfect to chill out and read a book. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. There is no TV or fridge in the room, but that did not bother us at all. WiFi is free and available upon request, worked absolutely fine. The spa was available for a small fee and you can use the “aqua park” across the road for free if you show your hotel room key. The staff is exceptional and tailor to suit your needs. We were happily served some good local wines and whenever we had questions about the region or where to eat, the staff offered multiple great options. 100% recommend!

The oldest hotel in Bohinjska Bistrica is very nicely renovated in line with current international trends and design, read scandinavian design, and follows a much needed sustainability policy. Rooms are very nice and comfortable and the main hall, including the breakfast place offers a spacious area to relax and enjoy nice garden views. The reception staff very nice and super helpful with advice on activities in the area. I like the fact there are no TVs in rooms. Great breakfast with min food waste policy, offering organic and local products.

Rooms could be equipped with a water kettle or coffee machine. The otherwise splendid breakfast was each day spoiled by the apparently young cook who cannot preparare the simplest thing on Earth such as eggs. Each time we waited 15 min for our eggs and the quality did not meet the boutique hotel expectations, to say the least. Such a pity!

beautifully designed interior, in a small hotel with a cool relaxing atmosphere. lovely garden along river all lit up at night. professional but friendly staff, very welcoming. Ecellent 4 course tasting dinner on Friday, the main course venison was michelin star quality (only do dinner Friday and Saturdays), with a great selection of wines by the glass. also great cocktails and various gins. standard room was lovely, yet still very affordable, the comfiest mattress I’ve slept on in a long time. All brand new super clean. we would love to return.

the only “mark” I’d drop is that the location isn’t quite as nice as being next to the lake.

Great overall concept. Superb Boutique feeling due to peace, quite ; services and accommodation. Great hosting. The food and diners offer are excellent . Special recommendation for the diners and the kitchen . For sure it deserves at least 1 or 2 Michelin Star(s)
