One of the most stunning places I have ever stayed( I travel a lot). The enormous grounds around the hotel are just spectacular. Beautiful private beach/deck. The hotel itself is in an old nostalgic style which I loved.

Little better gym and adding the sauna would be a bonus but not a big deal. My wife had one incident with the manager and I think that was one of the senior managers. My wife(a short Latin lady) was coming back from the beach and the manager( 5.10 feet tall lady) kind of blocked the entry to the hotel asking her if she is staying there. When she told her yes she asked her "really?" and was still blocking the door. My wife had to kind of squeeze herself in past her. We've been to most of the countries in Europe throughout many trips and this is the first time anything like this happened to her anywhere in the world. I still gave the hotel 5 stars - hopefully, that manager won't work there too long.

The location and views from the balcony are amazing. Knowing the historical aspects of the hotel were also a major reason we wanted to stay in Villa Bled. The staff is very friendly and professional, and trying to help with all issues or requests.

The main issue with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning. As you open the windows and balcony doors, you get all the cigarette smoke in your room, since smoking is permitted on balconies. There are also little things such as no paper tissues, no hand soap (empty bottle for two days of stay), dusty towel radiators - these things should not be happening for the price we paid.

Architecturally special location, apparently in the Neo-Renaissance style, built between 1934-1947, located in a quiet area, close to the lake, with a jetty and its own beach area that partially preserves the interior design of the 60s-70s. I recommend it to those who appreciate historical and quiet locations. The hotel staff is kind and responsive so that none of your wishes will remain unsolved.

If the included breakfast, otherwise varied, would benefit from a few ideas of variation, it would definitely be less monotonous.

Vila Bled has the best view in the area! We enjoyed our stay over there. It’s an old building that comes with its elegance. Breakfast served in the room (what a good idea and service they had), having a toddler with us it was easier to eat in the room. There was also free charging for electric cars. It was really helpful.

The furniture, carpets and bed were old. At the end of the bed, the upholstery was so worn out that it was white, a different colour than the bed. The fact that all those mention above were worn out, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t clean! Maybe in the near future they will renovate and renew some things. Regarding the housekeeping service, they only made the bed, they didn’t empty the trash cans. Our toddler had diapers, we expected after the 1st night to have the cans empty.

Everything was perfect

Everything! Our stay was perfect. This historic hotel (a former summer residence of Marshal Josip Broz Tito) has awe inspiring views of Lake Bled. Our rooms had balconies which added to the experience. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a special feeling of charm and class. The private beach is fantastic (with boats available to hire for a row on the lake). All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Vila Bled is highly recommended. It was a very special visit. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

The location is extraordinary: right on the lake front with a view of the island (we even had a view of it from our room) and rowing boats so we couod explore. The decor is beautiful in a sort of lovingly upkept old world glamour way. And the food - both dinner and breakfast - was delicious. Being able to eat on the terrace and look out over the lake was very special. All in all, extremely good value for money.

We would have loved it if the private beach was open (only from June apparently), but do appreciate that we probably have an unusually high tolerance for swimming in cold water. And if I could improve one thing it would be the ambience in the dining room at night: if they dimmed the lights, put out some candles and chose a less 90s classics playlist it would be perfect. But these are very much small things and overall this was one of my favourite hotel stays ever.

The location of Vila Bled is stunning, with beautiful views from the terrace, restaurant and gardens towards the Lake. The rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. Overall the decor is very 1950s, you could transport yourself easily back to the time when Tito was using the hotel as his summer residence. The breakfast was good. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was beautifully presented and delicious - I would highly recommend it.

The shower was powerful but a handheld one in the bath - could do with an update.

very efficient and beautiful with great views of the lake. Breakfast was good. History to the hotel with it being Tito's summer home. Cafe out back with even better views. nice to be away from the crowded downtown area.

dated a bit. Fitness room was quite dated. Rooms were large nice and well. The rooms were probably a little overpriced for due to the hotel not being large so there weren't many people there at all. i wanted to stay there due to its history and views but others seem to be choosing maybe less pricy options further from town.

The views with a lake view room were spectacular and the balcony overlooking the lake was lovely to sit out on. The staff were great, very helpful and spoke good English. Private lido and an hour's boat hire per day included in the room price. Breakfast buffet was great. Food in the restaurant was fine dining very good.

Rooms didn't have air conditioning (only a ceiling fan) and got very hot (hotter than outside), particularly the bathroom was like a sauna. Could provide more information on the facilities and what's available in the room or on the website, otherwise you would only know from my overhearing guest ask staff e.g. you could hire bikes from reception and have them delivered and picked up from the hotel, but only if you ask a day in advance. Hotel restaurant doesn't do lunch only dinner.
