Everything was prefect. The room was great with a nice view of the sea, the staff was friendly and professional making good friends with my kids even. The restaurant was excellent with a lot of choice and variability. Has its own beach with towels, benches and umbrellas included. The hotel is able to manage a lot of people without ever feeling crowded. There are free basic drinks during meals: coffee, tea, juices and even champagne (!) at breakfast and water at dinner. Anything above that needs to be purchased but it is more than enough. The beach is nice and clean. Piran is in walking distance. They even greeted me with a cake on my birthday! A really surprising and heartwarming gesture 🤗 We will definitely come back, we had the best vacation ever.

Everything was perfect

It is located halfway between Portoroz and Piran. Parking is free on the mountain side of the hotel. From the parking lot the hotel's main entrance and reception are located on the 11th floor. The shelltered bar terrace next to the reception has a wonderful view of the sea. The hotel is only separated from the privat beach by a small walkway. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are available in sufficient numbers. Beach service, beach bar, staff is nice and friendly (receptionists, waiters,maids, etc.) Comfortable rooms with a great view of the sea. Delicious and wide variety of breakfast.

The shelf part of the wardrobe could be bigger. The sound of the motorized leaf blower on the walkway in front of the hotel was a bit disturbing.

I worked in Hotel Business for many years and this hotel I have to say was more than i had expected. I took my elderly mother for a treat to spend quality time with her as I live overseas. We had an absolutley amazing time. You do have to get to the beach early to get a lounge chair. The room was clean, all staff from the front desk to restaurant, house keeping and life guards went above and beyond with exceptional service making us feel very welcomed and cared for. The food was 5 star cuisine both the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. We had a room with a balcony and ocean view on 2nd floor and it was beautiful. Can't wait to come back again!

Nice location, near the sea, amazing beach. The rooms are renovated and look nice. We had an amazing stay. Very friendly personal and helpful - we wanted a room on a high floor and it was not a problem.

The food at dinner was sometimes just satisfactory, and I would like more options. As well as that, the air conditioning was not strong enough, it was quite hot. From the outside, the lower floors balconies should be cleaned for aesthetic purposes. The sunbeds on the beach should be softer I think, they were quite hard. Better changing facilities on the beach should be made - the ones currently there are not the best since they are made of a material that flies open when wind comes.

Perfect location between Piran and Portorož, very quite. Beautiful view from the balcony, nice beach, amazing breakfast. Perfect for a nice, relaxing stay.

Fitness center is a joke, opens only at 10 AM. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. I kind of didn't get why part of the beach was free and part cost 39 EUR per day, I get that it got cushions, but felt weird that not all the guests get the same treatment. Sometimes there is a problem to get a place at the free beach, because people leave their towels there as a "reservation", I suggest that the hotel actually does something about it.

We booked the double room with sea view, the view was amazing, super confortable beds and clean room Breakfast was amaaazing so fresh and delicious choices Mostly the staff were so friendly and kind especially the concierge service who always parked our car with a big smile :) we sadly could not spend more days but we will definitely come back ! Great access to the beach and a breathtaking pool

The room is very good, the bathroom excellent. The beach is perfect, we enjoyed it. The restaurant is very good, big selection of foods in good quality. As my wife told: five star is five star. The architecture of the hotel is very interesting, all rooms have sea view.

We arrived earlier because of our program changed, and the room was not ready. It is normal, but can be a good service, if the staff inform us by phone call or SMS when the room is finished.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Bernardin. Great view from the balcony and comfortable room and bathroom. Breakfast was superb (variety and quality of buffet). Beach right in front of the hotel with free lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. There was no issue with finding space on the beach. Since it was pretty hot during our stay we used indoor swimming pools with salt water in a nearby sister hotel (Histrion). Plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Piran is a nearby town with nice restaurants, architecture and can be reached by a free shuttle bus service near the hotel.

Great that the beach is right in front of hotel, incl kid's beach and playarea. 50 meters away a free bus to the nearest small town. Staff at reception could help with charger for phone etc. Charger for our car right in front. Free parking for guests included. We could use the sister's hotel indoor and outdoor pool free of charge.

Everything was "tourist expensive". A small soda for 3 Eur. Drinks were not included in half board.

The beach is great, so conveniently located. No cars around! The location awesome: away from the city hustle, but walking distance to both Piran and Portoroj.

The dinner is pathetic, not worth it. People "reserve" the flatbeds on the beach for the whole day by putting a towel on them early morning. This means a large number of guests can't use the flatboats on the beach. The hotel should not promote such behaviour. If someone comes to the beach only for 2 hours during a day they should not keep the flatbed for the whole day.
