Perfect location between Piran and Portorož, very quite. Beautiful view from the balcony, nice beach, amazing breakfast. Perfect for a nice, relaxing stay.

Fitness center is a joke, opens only at 10 AM. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. I kind of didn't get why part of the beach was free and part cost 39 EUR per day, I get that it got cushions, but felt weird that not all the guests get the same treatment. Sometimes there is a problem to get a place at the free beach, because people leave their towels there as a "reservation", I suggest that the hotel actually does something about it.

The beach is great, so conveniently located. No cars around! The location awesome: away from the city hustle, but walking distance to both Piran and Portoroj.

The dinner is pathetic, not worth it. People "reserve" the flatbeds on the beach for the whole day by putting a towel on them early morning. This means a large number of guests can't use the flatboats on the beach. The hotel should not promote such behaviour. If someone comes to the beach only for 2 hours during a day they should not keep the flatbed for the whole day.

Great that the beach is right in front of hotel, incl kid's beach and playarea. 50 meters away a free bus to the nearest small town. Staff at reception could help with charger for phone etc. Charger for our car right in front. Free parking for guests included. We could use the sister's hotel indoor and outdoor pool free of charge.

Everything was "tourist expensive". A small soda for 3 Eur. Drinks were not included in half board.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Bernardin. Great view from the balcony and comfortable room and bathroom. Breakfast was superb (variety and quality of buffet). Beach right in front of the hotel with free lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. There was no issue with finding space on the beach. Since it was pretty hot during our stay we used indoor swimming pools with salt water in a nearby sister hotel (Histrion). Plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Piran is a nearby town with nice restaurants, architecture and can be reached by a free shuttle bus service near the hotel.

Nice big hotel directly at the sea side with private beach equiped with sunbeds&umbrellas. Basically just few steps out from the hotel doors. Promenade from Portoroz to Pirane directly crossing the hotel, so you can just decide to turn to left or right and then walk and walk😉 Staff is kind, food is dellicious served at spacy and elegant restaurant .

With dogs you can stay at the 4 floor where the rooms are not equiped by carpets( what is understandable because of dogs) however if you are together with kids then the room is pretty small. There is not opportunity to update for familly room.

Great location right by the sea halfway between Piran and Portoroz. You can decide which town to visit for ice cream or dinner or otherwise. Check-in was good, when you arrive there is someone to take care of your luggage all the way to the room. Parking is a bit uphill and there seem to be enough spaces for the guests. Breakfast is phenomenal with outstanding variety of hot and cold food, local food, organic options and with very friendly staff. Indeed, breakfast was the most outstanding experience in that hotel.

There are unfortunately also some downsides of the hotel. The rather limited opening hours of the Gym, its small size and its constantly broken one and only threadmill. Another downside is due to the architecture of the building, which goesdown from top of a cliff all the way to sealevel in a slight angular form. The seabirds sit above each floor's balcony and do all things seabirds do by nature. The hotel's cleaning staff does a great job, but only once a day. So, sitting on the balcony was not an extemely nice experience for us for longer and you can enjoy the soectacular sunset not in one piece.

This is an excellent hotel, the rooms are cozy, and comfortable, all with a sea view. The area is quiet and only 15 minutes away from Piran. The beach is 10 meters from the hotel. You do not have to worry about sun umbrellas and sunbeds, everything is available at any hour during the day. 'Towelers' can sleep:-). Food is excellent, variety ensured, and rich.

They should leave the roof restaurant open all day. This is a perfect place to have a light brunch, lunch, or enjoy the view over the bay. Now, it is closed between noon and 7 pm. The other place on the beach - Tropic- cannot replace this fantastic roof restaurant.

Hotel has amazing direct views onto the sea and it’s beach club is very well managed and well manned with an attentive team.The breakfast was excellent huge selection and egg station made a made a great omelette.Housekeeping and reception were very efficient too.It’s definitely nearer Piran and it’s a nice walk into town although there is a free shuttle bus close by if you decide not to walk.

I was a little surprised that one side of the beach club had an extra payment ..However,it was definitely worth it as guests would bag their sun beds with towels very early in the morning on the included side whereas the surcharge side always had lovely comfortable positioned beds right by the ocean available at any time and it was much quieter and several lovely touches such as a glass of Prosecco provides for when the sun goes down made it very good value.

Young ladies at the reception desk are polite and cater for every need you might have. We were granted late check out till 18:00 which just the day before was a problem when other person was at the reception desk. Other than this minor "problem", everything was really nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. Beach is clean and well maintained. It would be better if there was 1 parasole per 1 sun lounger because single parasole is not big enough for 2 sun loungers (problem for people with sun alergies).

People reserving sun loungers very early by putting towels on them but not using them and coming to the beach in the afternoon.

Great location, nice beach, verz beautiful restaurant with nice food, great personal, great cleaning personal.

what I hate a lot, that sun loungers was reserved by multiply guests early morning with a towel (like in Turkey???) and then stayed reserved till the lunch time even if noone was using them till the lunch. Families with small kids needed to search for a sun lounger for a long time. Such reservations needs to be prohibited and controlled in 5-star hotels with a private beach!
