Century City Hotel Urban Square

Lindo at reception was very helpful, patient, and showed interest in assisting us even though he was alone on duty.

My room had a bad smell and was changed by Zahirah without even asking!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Century City Hotel Urban Square with my partner, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff during check-in. Carla, Bongani, and Grace provided us with exceptional service, ensuring that our check-in process was smooth and seamless. One of the highlights of our stay was the secure parking available, which provided us with peace of mind throughout our visit. The hotel's facilities, including the restaurant, were top-notch and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Our room was not only comfortable but also impeccably neat and tidy. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Special thanks to Shakeena from housekeeping, whose professional and kind demeanor made our stay even more enjoyable. The access to services provided in the room exceeded our expectations, reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence. Overall, we had a truly pleasant and memorable stay at Century City Hotel Urban Square. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful experience in a convenient location. Check in was quick @main desk. Hotel was alive with music and entertainment because its a Saturday.. rooms has difrent lights ..oh i especially liked the wellcome msge on the tv for me.. lol.. it was cute thank you..i liked the shower and water got hot quick very nice.. bed was a bit too big..lol.. i had to travel to get to hubby on the other side of bed.. I enjoyed the stay and walking distance from canal walk..

This is now my second time staying here and the accommodations were once again superb. Quiet rooms, loadshedding protection, and some of the most well-trained and professional staff all make staying at this property a delight.

The check-in process felt like dragged on longer than needed, and could have been smoother, especially as a returning guest. Apart from that, I felt that 250 ZAR pp for breakfast was a bit much.

I loved the ease of access to the locations, the amazing shower and the comfortable bed 😄

The service from housekeeping and room service was extremely poor. I had to call to remind them about replenishing the coffee station and had to wait nearly an hour, let alone asking for fresh towels that also took an hour, when they eventually pitched they didn't even apologise for the delay but rather looked confused as to what was requested and constantly came back with 1 item at a time.

Upon checked-in and throughout our stay the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. A complimentary plate with brownies, wine and a card was left in my parents room for their anniversary. The card was hand written, it was a very nice gesture. Our overall experience was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay very much, I only have three negatives. 1. The music from the restaurants “Tigers Milk” are very disturbing, especially going on until 02:00am. 2. The lightening in the restaurant in the evening is too dark, it almost hurts your eyes. The touch lights needs to be brighter or additional lighting will still create a romantic, cozy atmosphere. 3. Check-out was very disappointing. The receptionist just took the room keys, but I still had to pay for parking. It felt rushed, the reception clerk asked if I had cash, I could have waited for her to finish with the other guest. Check-out was very poor.

Everything was very good and clean. The breakfast was amazing and they have a pretty good bar downstairs for the evening.

Everything was pretty great except for the fact that there was some sort of concert right outside my window which ended at midnight so for a few hours things were very loud. I would have appreciated if the staff had informed me right after I made my booking that there would be a loud concert right next to the hotel. I’m pretty sure they knew about the event by the time I booked.

The hotel rooms and the dining area and outdoor terrace were very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was served very nicely with a good variety of options for those who wanted a quick breakfast.

We arrived at 1:00pm to check-in and we were told we could not since check-in time was 3:00pm. We left for lunch and a bit of shopping and came back to the hotel at 4:15pm to check in. The staff told us our rooms were still not ready and they did not know when they would be ready. The staff really did not seem to care about this and did not do anything about it. We needed to press them figure the problem out and get us our rooms. We expected much more from a hotel in this category.

Excellent service ! From date arrival right through exceptional service from all staff members. Room was excellent ! We went for for 45th marriage anniversary and requested some flowers for the room. What we experienced when we entered the room was much more than what we expected. It was totally overwhelming, flowers all over, champagne, cake on a plate with Happy Anniversary and the best of all, two swans made up from towels and rose leaves, a heart packed out with rose flowers and leaves, which was simply just amazing. My wife broke out in tears when she saw it. I could not believe what we were seeing. It looked so amazing, that we wanted to sleep on the floor and leave the decorated bed to see the next morning. All this for an amazing cheap price. Man, I can just say, whenever your marriage anniversary is, please just treat yourself with this experience, which you will never forget !

This was one of many returns. I stay for business. The rooms and beds are comfortable and very clean. The hotel is smart and classy but not over the top. It is walking distance from the Virgin Active and any shop you need. The neighbourhood is pleasant. it will be hard to find better value in Century City.

Remember to ask a room on the quiet side of the hotel if you do not want to listen to the restaurant noise on the square. It normally goes on till 22h00 or 23h00.
