Everything was great, the place is beautiful, the staff were so accomidating and friendly except for the receptionist, her name is Queen, she was absolutely rude and her words to me was that "she does not want to speak to me". She raised her voice and was unpleasant. I did come to Onomo a few times and I loved it so I decided to tell others about it and got my sister and brotherinlaw to book Onomo aswell. She did spoil the everyone's mood and I do not think that customers should be treated in that manner. All of the other staff was amazing just like previously ❤️ The staff at the restaurant was so apologetic even though they did nothing wrong. Murphy who is the supervisor was absolutely wonderful, such a respectful, well mannered guy, it is only because of him that I will continue to recommend people to Onomo. He was so apologetic and he made our mood change from feeling the worst to good. Thank you Murphy we need more human beings like you.🤗

I loved the atmosphere. I loved the pool area

Our room was very cold, even after trying to adjust and manoeuvre the aircon it was still just too cold in that room. The bed was abit uncomfortable in the middle due to the joining of the single beds

Breakfast was amazing and location is also ideal . I love how easy it is to access all the main roads. The restaurant is as seen in pictures absolutely liked the vibe from the foyer.

The shower had black mold on the corners and house keeping did not blean the shower , I could still see soup marks on the door when hot water is turned on . I requested an iron it took them 25 Minutes to get it to my room when I offered to fetch it . Bedding is not changed daily (including sheets).

The breakfast was very delicious and of variety. Freshly prepared every single day. Location of the hotel is neutral, was easy to get around Durban.

On our second night, I noticed that the bedding was not changed, called reception to enquire and report but nothing was done. That actually ruined my last few hours at the hotel and as a result I doubt I'll be going back nor recommend it.

The breakfast was quite a bummer . It was not hotel standard it looked and tasted okay it could have been better. It tasted like it was prepared in a rush.

Well located for access to business end of Durban, lovely staff, enjoyed the design of the common areas, room is adequate, Food was good.

TV with DSTV is useless in 2024, time for smart TVs that allow guests to use their own streaming services. Corridors need something to break the monotony, they’re very sterile, especially when the common areas downstairs, restaurant etc, are really vibrant and welcoming. Feels like a hospital once you get to the room areas. Room service didn’t work on the night I was there, room service comms device turned out to be DISCONNECTED from the internet, and thus they weren’t receiving room service requests from guests. Lost revenue opportunity! I like the attempt though to streamline access through WhatsApp.

We requested the extra blanket,there was nothing in the wordrobe , I was told to come down myself to get it , my husband went and brought a stained light weight duvet inner , we got cold the whole night. No heater in rooms. Early hours at around 1 am, we were disturbed by extreme noise, went on about 30min, hoping that security or any member of staff will attend to it , unfortunately no one cared about it until I called the reception and they promised to send security to those people and stopped after that. We had ony 2 sachets of sugar , were not enough for both of us. We wanted tea so badly because it was cold but sugar dololo.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise. From the outside it doesn't have any appeal. But inside - Wow. Loved the openness of the restaurant and bar. I stayed in two different types of rooms (I had a return booking it was so good). Each room was very clean. Loved the shower. Staff were very helpful and friendly. For anyone visiting Durban on business or holiday, I highly recommend this hotel. As I said, I stayed for 3 nights and returned at the end of the week and stayed another night. Great location and great value for money.

The bed is very comfortable but travelers note it does sit lower to the floor than a standard bed. So if you are person who due to a disability or pregnancy and need additional height to help you get up or into a bed, note that the beds in this hotel might not suit you. Perhaps ask before you book. I had no trouble but then we are all different.
