Bar area around the pool not well maintained and cleaned. Poor bar service, not well stocked with ice etc. Be careful of having your card scammed

Room was clean

Apparently, I booked a disabled room by mistake. I was told to add R550 more for another room without seeing the one i have booked. I was told that the Disabled room's bathroom is open and flat and when showering, the water just runs into the main area of the room. ( of course, I found this to be very strange). I did not argue as I had to accept the fact that I made a mistake by booking a Disabled room. My question is: What would have happened if I could not pay the extra R550? When I finally got to this other room it was huge and unnecessary for an over-night stay

It is close to the Riverside Sports Fields and offers so much convenience.

I liked everything except for at check in the one receptionist was not as welcoming and stayed on the phone for about 5 minutes with me standing in front of her. She didn’t even make eye contact even though I was ushered to her by another employee. But the other receptionist quickly remedied the situation when she was done checking in another customer. I also used the online check in process but don’t see its use because I still had to complete my details and sign a form.

Location and the friendly staff. The pool is also good.

The beds were old and sunken. The linen was also old and stained and not changed during my six day stay, just neatened.

The security from the gate is welcoming n the safety of us was up to standard. The reception was wow accommodating. The building attract us from the outside to show all was in order. The employees n food was in order.

The fact that our medium language which is English is hardly used. All employees should have multi lingual skills to welcome guest as all guest don't speak Zulu. I know our mother tongue is more important cos it's a new South Africa.

Breakfast was ok but there were no flap jacks and waffles; there was one omelette maker, which them resulted in long queues in the morning. On our second last day, our bread and milk were a bit stale and we quietly advised the ladies to change it.

Attitude of the reception stuff together with the short Indian lady manager was appalling...The practice of paying a deposit and when you arrive, being asked to pay the full amount is outdated, as if patrons will check out without payment. You are also expected to wait during checkout in case there were items that you used during your stay. The swimming pool could have been bigger for so many rooms.

Microwave and sink. Definite plus for family room. Spacious room. Beds are good size. Friendly staff. Decent location. Safe access. So traveling at night is fine. Car park seems to be safe. No incidents. Restaurant staff is helpful. Food is decent.

There are small things that need to be maintained or upgraded. For almost 2 grand a night in a family room you would expect comfortable beds and bath tubs that work. Plug points are not working 100%. Some work. Some dont. Bigger cupboard space for a family room. Small things need fixing. And parking is totally ridiculous. No covered parking. Carrying 2 kids in the rain from the bottom car park to a hotel room...not the best. Breakfast needs more variety.

Everything for us was awesome.. We met great people and definitely changed our lives

That the manager and employees didn't care that we agreed late though we kept communicating with them to inform of the dilemma we had

Beautiful hotel. Rooms clean and very comfortable.Kitchenette was a cherry on top. Kids friendly, pool and play area. Enjoyed breakfast .Close to the beach

No milk for tea, only coffee creamer on check in, had to ask for it, again on following days it wasn't replenished. Soap and shampoo dispensers were not working and were looking dirty and old. Couldn't use hairdryer, it was dirty covered in oil and hair. One kitchen staff had bad attitude - the lady called Stheh (had to notice her name due to her constant behavior), please teach her manners and customer service, she also needs to stop badmouthing her seniors in front of guests

The breakfast was delicious considering the money we paid

The staff are very incompetent shame, I went to the coffee station and asked for cappuccino then went to sit down as they were very busy at the counter, I never got the cappuccino. We waited and waited only to see the lady I spoke too busy on her cellphone. We ended up leaving because we saw that there was no sign that we could get what we asked for. And was raining that day, I was very disappointed. Besides that incident the staff there aren’t that friendly from my experience.
