Situated just off the N2 near the Peregrine Farm Stall, the location is ideal for exploring the wine farms and eating establishments of the Elgin area. Maps of the area are readily available in the room, The breakfast is a delightful combination of continental and English, and the facilities for making toast and specialised coffee are modern and perfectly maintained. A fully equipped kitchen is open for use if needed, as is a comfortable lounge. The delightful host - Alan - is in attendance to help with any queries you may have and has a vast knowledge of the area.

There is very little to criticize, but a Pod coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch.

Perfect accommodation with a super friendly manager Alen. The room was perfect and the breakfast was sensational. Our wishes were always taken into account and Alen was very enthusiastic when we needed his advice. Absolutely recommended, I will definitely come back. Thank you very much Alen for your hospitality. There is nothing to complain about at all, everything was great.

Allan the manager was easily reachable with a phone call. Good knowledge about area. Excellent, friendly and welcoming reception and throughout our stay. Breakfast - Fresh and good quality. Panel heater and air con keep room temperature comfortable. In all, a very pleasant stay.

We booked the twin room. king-size bedding when putting beds together would have been great. And lastly the tiles are cold esp in winter - so few more mats in the walk way towards bathroom would be lovely.

Oh it was the most beautiful place and the luxury room was just that. It was spotlessly clean, the host was amazing, peaceful and tranquil and I would recommend this venue to all and everyone. The website doesn't do the cottage any justice. I so wish I could add the videos. Everything you could wish for is at your fingertips, from bottled water to earl grey tea, fresh milk, ground coffee, etc etc. Breakfast was out of this world.

I could never fault a thing.

The property is located centrally and close to most of the wine farms, the Elgin market and Peregrine farm stall. The area is beautiful and so is the property. The host Alan is great, very friendly and helpful with giving advice on where to go and what to do. We felt safe on the property.

The property is close to the main road so you can hear the traffic every now and then but it is not a major disturbance.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on. It is very easy to get to all the most well known tourist attractions in Elgin from the Lodge. The host was very welcoming and accommodating, even coming out to greet us at the car and see us off a few days later. As we were the only ones staying there at the time, we had the "communal area" to ourselves and made a nice warm fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the sound of the rain while relaxing on the couches with a glass of wine.

We really enjoyed our stay at Elgin Country Lodge. The room was spacious and comfortable, true to the pictures. The Lodge was also very nice with its green and relaxing environment. But what made our stay very special was the warm welcome of Alen and Mary. They really made us feel at home. We wont heasitate to come back.

Clean and comfortable room, very spacious. Gorgeous surroundings with the mountains, orchards and impeccably maintained gardens. Host was super friendly and helpful, an absolute pleasure to deal with. The continental breakfast was icing on the cake as we enjoyed it a lot. Could not ask for more, a wonderful place to stay.

Leaving

Beautiful place to stay and quite central to all the places we needed to go to. We walked a little bit on the farm, and it was so peaceful. Breakfast was good!

We loved our stay and would be back. We do suggest maybe having an option at breakfast like cereal, but other than that, the breakfast was so lovely.

We went to the Paul Cluver summer concert so the location was very good. We were welcomed by the owner and her daughter and we immediately felt at home. The room was clean and comfortable. The farm setting is beautiful.

The breakfast can be better eg omelettes perhaps. Toaster was not working properly.
