Allan the manager was easily reachable with a phone call. Good knowledge about area. Excellent, friendly and welcoming reception and throughout our stay. Breakfast - Fresh and good quality. Panel heater and air con keep room temperature comfortable. In all, a very pleasant stay.

We booked the twin room. king-size bedding when putting beds together would have been great. And lastly the tiles are cold esp in winter - so few more mats in the walk way towards bathroom would be lovely.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on. It is very easy to get to all the most well known tourist attractions in Elgin from the Lodge. The host was very welcoming and accommodating, even coming out to greet us at the car and see us off a few days later. As we were the only ones staying there at the time, we had the "communal area" to ourselves and made a nice warm fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the sound of the rain while relaxing on the couches with a glass of wine.

Breakfast was generous and very tasty. We expected continental but received a warm breakfast, with plenty of fresh fruit, cheese and cold meats on the side. We wandered around the orchards and loved the scenery (trees full of apples and with a fresh bite to the air). The guest house is centrally located and the host Alan is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area.

With the N2 running next to the property, the sound of traffic was constant but did die off in the night.

I cannot Thank the host enough! He was amazing, I was there with my bridesmaids to get ready before heading off to my wedding, he made sure we were all comfy, fed, safe and was so helpful making sure my hair and make up artists and photographers could set up where needed. It’s my second time staying here and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!!

Nothing it was perfect!

Alan was a superb and friendly host. The breakfast was really lovely, loved the free range chicken sausages and the fresh produce. Beautifull garden, so well kept, surrounded by the lovely apple orchards!

Our room was a tad on the small side, but could see a lot of the other rooms were a lot bigger so would ensure a different room booked next time.

We stayed here as a group ahead of a wedding. We all felt very safe and secure. Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.

There’s nothing to dislike!

Staff was warm, friendly and professional. The breakfast every morning was fantastic. Location close to town.

Unfortunately, there was a security breach. People went onto the property and seized valuables that belonged to guests. It may be worth investing in a night guard and charging guests extra.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful, clean and stylish lodge, the 2nd time in just over 6 months. We just had to come back to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the luxury of the lodge and the hospitality of the host! Alan is the most friendly and helpful host you will ever get. He goes out of his way to accommodate your needs. Definitely hope to be back again in future!

The breakfast was fine, not over the top. Certainly met our needs, not exceeded them! Allan was a wonderful host Location, a convenient drive to Vineland's, and/or CapeTown airport

There really is not much to do in the area, other than wine tasting. Traffic noise could sometimes be irritating
