The hotel and theme park were exceptional...it was comfortable and great entertainment for the entire family

Barney's restaurant was a real downer. The breakfast was not up to standard. Waited 20minutes for eggs to arrive for breakfast. The person manning the egg station said they had run out of eggs and this was at 8.30am. We ordered burgers which was supposed to have Halloumi cheese on them...but they substituted haloumi with feta without any notification. We called the chef to complain and he says they have not had halloumi for the last 3 months 🤔. Said they can not get stock...shockingly lame excuse. They should then remove this item from the menu or advise customers in advance that they do not have it. Overall the restaurant has poor service with not very friendly staff as well. It's a pity as they give a poor reflection to the hotel being their breakfast partner.

Everything was awesome...the rooms were comfortable and had Everything we needed...we were given a room closest to the restaurant so we had easy access to food and leisure in the evenings...the theme park was also easily accessible...we were very happy

Our shower floor was clogged so water was always standing whe bathing and we didn't like that. My kids enjoyed playing pool at the resteraunt late evenings but we needed change for the machine. A particular waiter didn't help these kids to get change and we ended up having to drive out of the park to a nearby garage but the waiter whom I witnessed assisted others get change...I felt that was rude

We loved the fact that this was not a standard type of hotel but that the family suites had a quaint feel to it whilst being very modern and comfortable inside. Each room had an aircon and a television! The location is amazing - private parking, no hassle standing in queus to get in, friendly staff and an available shuttle service to get to the Casino. We will never visit Gold Reef City as day visitors again - we will always stay over at the hotel.

The fact that the bathroom has a glassdoor, albeit frosted, was a bit of a concern but luckily the toilet is situated in a seperate room with a solid door.

Property is quiet, safe, and very clean!

The reception at the entrance was very poor. We have had a 7 hour long trip with very small babies, we were very tired only for the security officers to make us wait outside for the shuttle “to help us with the luggage” for more than an hour. Until we insisted on Getting inside and leaving our car and bags outside. The babies were irritable, tired, hungry, needed urgent nappy change at that point in time so It was really a bad experience. We nearly left right there and there!

Hotel was in theme park

On arrival it was raining One had to park outside gate as residents not allowed to drive into hotel grounds and then walk in rain to reception Then there was 30 min delay to fetch the luggage as only one golf cart and not covered so luggage gets a bath Did complain to manager Sibisiso and he kindly apologised and upgraded my room I did also speak to general manager and suggested they have a more efficient service as they have in other hotels where porters are at the parking or allowed resident to drive to reception and drop luggage there and have a driver to take your car back to parking Also bit of disappointment as when rain the theme park is closed and no activity happens beside one resturant and tv in room They need to learn from other theme park hotels

The place was very clean, breakfast very good.

The next morning water in the room was cold. When checking out we had to wait about five minutes while the guy at the reception checks if everything was fine he said. However the other white lady came while we waiting to check out but her card was just received and informed she can go. I asked the guy who was assisting us why we are waiting while others don't wait he told me no im not the one who checked the other lady out. We received different treatment.

A bit strange staying in a Theme Park but it felt safe and was convenient for walking to the Apartheid Museum. Free entry to park included. Decent size rooms with good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Fun entertainment in the evening at the Casino with a free shuttle from the hotel. Plenty of family style restaurants to choose from. Good buffet breakfast in a next door restaurant with eggs cooked freshly to order.

Not ideal if you want the feel of a luxury hotel as rooms are in isolated blocks and no integral bar/ restaurant etc. No lifts to first floor rooms. Lots of families as most are there for the Theme Park experience. At least an hour queue for every ride as very busy with families at weekend and school kids in the week.

I enjoyed the care of the entire staff. It was my first time there but I felt comfortable as if I was used to the place. I also enjoyed the breakfast. A bonus was on the games because we gained free access to the games under the room I had booked.

nothing. I liked every bit of the place. It was value for money for me. I do not regret booking with you and i am definitely coming back with my entire family

The service from the reception to the restaurant is super, its a nice place to go for vacation with family and friends and enjoy to the utmost. Near to other restaurants and facilities! note that they have this gift of a Free entrance to the park ... I remember booking for the park ang got my reeimbursement

if i stayed a bit longer kkkkkk... there is nothing so notorious to complain about! the receptionist, waiters and the shuttle guys were amazingly fantastic with us! we felt Home.

What an exceptional stay! We loved the fact that theme park entry was included for both our check-in and check-out days. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - not to mention the experience of walking the in the theme park at night, the free shuttle to the casino, and the KILLER breakfast buffet. If you're planning to go to Gold Reef City at all, staying at the Theme Park Hotel is an absolute must and very good value for money!
