Hotel is situated in the empty city center. Quite quiet localization but as the hotel staff informed us it is not a safe area. View from 22 floor or the roof was nice. Room was clean and nice, fitness center also. Breakfast and dinner were tasty with variety of dishes.

It is hard for Europeans to stay in a place where walking around “is not recommended”. However, it is a problem of Johannesburg and whole South Africa, not the hotel alone.

I always stay at at Anew Because Parkington when I’m in Johannesburg. It’s close to the office and is a comfy stay. It’s getting dated and it’s infrastructure isn’t the best but everything works OK. Will be back on my next visit.

The front staff are phenomenal. Especially Ms Ntombi who was so caring. After she allowed my young son and I to leave our bags at reception upon checkout because I had to take him to see a specialist. Upon our return she enquired if everything went well with the Dr, if my son is OK and that made all the difference after a long day! The room itself is very clean, spacious and very comfortable. You'd think because it's in the city it would be noisy but it wasn't

The fridge was not very clean or strong. We were by elevator so it was a bit noisy at first, but OK after awhile. It could use modernized upgrade with furniture, curtains, just aesthetically

The staff was great, outside the compound the area is a bit on the high-risk look out as you ran into potential robbery from those disenfranchised folks looking for survival

I forget my phone at the gym, and on realizing it went back to retrieve it , unfortunately some young guys were there before I got back. My phone was taken . attempt to have the hotel manager run the CCTV was told it was against south Africa laws to have video at the Gym and those places in the surrounding were for the outside perimeter of the building...Phone never returned.

Well I did not like anything about your breakfast to be honest but they just lady who works there in the hotel she is very transparent and she calls on her way to make the customers feel welcome and always check on a customer if they're still happy Ntombizodwa Sithole Guest Service Manager. She is doing a great job in that hotel and she's very good in marketing the hotel to the guest I would really give this lady a five-star I did not get a chance to say goodbye to her or give her anything but she is very kind down-to-earth

Too much noise

Big room with separate bedroom. Amazing view over town from the higher floors. Very friendly staff. They even walked us to the train station. Parking in garage and indoor passage to the hotel, so no walking in the street necessary. Safe entrance with the extra gates at the door for when you arrive with Uber etc. Nice to have a gym, smaller than expected but still ok.

Breakfast was expensive for what you get and it was not good at all. Pool was freezing cold, can't swim in it. So it looks amazing with the view but nobody seemed to use it. Hotel still looks good but you can see it's getting older and needs maintenance.

The rooms are very very spacious, like a one bedroom apartment. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily. All rooms have a spacious balcony with a view. My room was on the 19th floor so the view was spectacular. Breakfast is quite good but a bit pricey if it's not included in your reservation.

The internet connection was really bad and slow. While the rest of the hotel and its services give you the feeling you're in a 5 star accomodation, the bad internet quality damages completely this feeling. Also, it seems that there is a shortage of towels. One day I requested an extra towel and they did not have any available to provide me.

The bedroom TV had no remote and therefore, not working. The aircon was not working, even though it had a remote control. even though there was space, there was no mini fridge in the room though it was a suite. These were not the main issue, but worth pointing out incase these are not known.

a TV remote for the bedroom could have been useful to watch from bed rather than confined in the sitting area.

The room was superb. Large space also the setting area was very great compared to the other holes around south Africa. The price was very reasonable for the room. The view was fantastic. Best hotel in joburg with a reasonable price. I rate it 5 star

Nothing at all

The location is good and most if the staff is very helpful and there are shops and restaurants in the near. They also help guests with transportation during the week.

They have a tea station but not teaspoons and they have a kitchenette but don’t have a microwave, that is very annoying because I had to throw away some food because it’s winter and I needed warm food. I think it’s a tragedy for guests to eat all meals in their own restaurants. It won’t hurt the hotel at all to provide guests with a microwave.
