The property was very nice and clean. The property is also well located between all the places you need to visit.

I received an email asking if there is anything they could do for me special request and I asked for a welcoming letter address to me and my daughter as I have finally adopted her and received all the paper work just something in her new surname but no welcoming letter. So really not sure why they send an email for special request and could not even just write a letter was very disappointed. But the event we attended together as our first official mother and daughter event so was so so nice. Also when we got back from supper at around 10 pm my room smelled like smoke like somebody had been in our room and smoking. Called downstairs and nobody knew anything about it.

everything, I Sent a mail directly to Montecasino complimenting them on their hygenic and fresh rooms, crisp linen and clean and well appointed bathroom. (one of the few places that I hope to and will visit again.) the Fire Room is in a class of its own and equalled our pleasant experience in terms of its offering. Their quality and service from their staff was also well above average (the other restaurants are understandably the normal 'run of the mill') the Security staff were strict and attentive and not on their phones as in so many other places.

The vaping and smoking even outside the establishments. The room was a non-smoking room else i would never have stayed there!!! [strange that smoking is even allowed in hotel rooms :( ]

The location of the hotel was great. There were lots of options for food and beverage in the Montecasino complex connected to the hotel. The hotel breakfast was nice and the staff were lovely. It was nice to have access to the small fitness room downstairs as well.

The room provided information stating goals toward conserving water by not replacing towels each day. I fully support that initiative. However, after the first day of housekeeping, all towels and sheets were replaced. We ended up keeping Do Not Disturb on the door in order to limit the unnecessary replacement of the towels and the sheets each day. It may seem minor, but if the hotel states that they have an initiative such as this one, we hope that they follow through on it.

Located on the square so no need to cross any roads to get to the restaurants/shops/casino. Our flight was delayed by 7hours and we only arrived after midnight. The lady behind the counter kindly offered to go to the closest petrol station to get some snacks and water for us if we wanted something seeing as the restaurant and in-room dining had closed. When we declined her kind offer she gave us some extra water for the room.

Our room’s shower door didn’t close properly, so we had to shower in a way to minimise the water soaking the floor and carpet.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of times & is to me the best place to stay due to it's central location to Pretoria & Johannesburg, easy access to highways, various restaurants to choose form at Monte Casino within a few hundred meters of walking distance. The hotel itself is very good in all aspects.... from a nice clean room, the breakfast, a fairly good fitness center, good, safe parking, friendly & helpful staff etc. Excellent value for money The best laundry service I've seen in a hotel

There's not much to complain about....it doesn't have a swimming pool, if it really matters.

When we got there, staff was very welcoming

when we got to our room after travelling for 7 hours, found that the aircon was not working. the bathroom door does not close and when one is having a shower the outside gets wet., did not explain that the wifi was open - we used our own data. Ordered room service for a pizza and drinks and after an hour the food did not arrive , had to call again to find out what the problem was. Breakfast - the first 2 days had a chef who was a know it all, did not listen, however on the last day the chef was brilliant

Flexibility on check-in. Originally given a room overlooking the road and we managed to change it to overlook the square. Car parking included and secure which was a real bonus. Literally on top of Monte Casino restaurants and bars, which was the reason for booking in the first place.

The toilet and shower were integrated into the bedroom itself which is a little strange. However we knew about this upfront on booking but still different to any other hotel we have stayed at.

Frankly, this hotel ticked ALL the boxes. I have problems with hotel beds. NOT HERE! AWESOME. Breakfast included and excellent choice including a chef to cook eggs. Location superb. Staff, ALL uber friendly and not familiar (familiarity breeds contempt - not here). Grate choice of restaurants in Montecasino and across the road in Pineslopes Centre. The hotel resataurant is very good too, room service or the restaurant. My next stay in JHB will be here. Look no further.

Booking was done online we were well received with no hassles on arrival. The hotel is well situated with access to various restaurants. Parking is an absolute pleasure with no problems accessing the hotel lobby.

The music within the open area is quite loud in the rooms. With the loud music closing of the windows was a problem as the aircon wasn't working to satisfaction. Breakfast was a bit of a wait as only one chef was handling the "egg" serving section and caused a delay in the waiting period at which time certain foods were already cold. (suggestion to placing the hot foods after the egg counter in this way allowing for ordering of eggs, omelettes etc prior to dishing and decreasing the waiting time for eggs.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was outstanding. Nice rooms which were clean and comfortable.

Parking was a bit chaotic. Had to pay then struggled to get into hotel parking from within paid for area. Protocol around parking could be better. I can also see cause for concern if someone freshly arrived from overseas doesn't have local currency as didn't anticipate having to pay to park then having to accrue charges on a credit card.
