It was near the casino and very central to Fourways, Sandton and westrand. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. A young, beautiful yuppy minimalistic hotel. Thanks God there was a very well functioning and silent type of air conditioning

Pls be more transparent about the fact that you have no elevator. Had to call reception for an iron with my cell phone…. Not ideal for long couple stays.

I travelled to JHB for business every two weeks last year and stayed at Hotel Perte every time. I will be doing the same again every two weeks this year. The hotel is very conveniently located to my offices in Fourways, and as a woman travelling alone, it provides me with a location that is safe and within extremely easy walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff always very friendly.

It is difficult for Uber drivers and fast food delivery drivers to locate the hotel as it does not come up as a location on Uber. I usually pin drop the closest point to the hotel and then have to write written instructions to the drivers to describe how to get to the hotel from that point but often times they still struggle to locate the hotel on their tracking devices.

Location was amazing, could walk to the various Montecasino attractions multiple times as needed. Reception responded to my query about check in times within a good amount of time; could check in early / leave bags at reception while watching a 2PM movie. Double room beds were moveable - could push the bed used by the children against a wall to prevent them from rolling off :) You also get a discount at the bird gardens if you a hotel guest!

Breakfast options - places to eat in Montecasino only open at 8, and no restaurant / breakfast buffet at the hotel. Bars near the hotel closed earlier than the official hours. Coffee station not really stocked for 2 people if you both want the same tea TV channels very limited

Beautiful is all I can say, situated on the montecasino property .Hotel looks is an overall 8 stars in my book. The watsup line to the hotel was something different.

Reception staff was abit cold when we checked in, might be my imagination don't know. The morning lady was quite helpful just a pity she was alone when we checked out she had to do 2 peoples job. I didn't see a bar fridge in our room, coffee was like 2 sachets saving on costs I assume and no utensils In the room to eat with. They dont serve breakfast and they don't have a restaurant. U can order in

Its an attractive small hotel, with very pleasant staff and very clean rooms. Its perfect for short stays at Montecasino whether for work or leisure.

Because this is a budget hotel on a casino property, a lot of party people book in for celebrations over the weekend, and it can get very noisy in the corridors on weekends. Wear ear plugs! There is no breakfast on offer, which makes the mornings a little awkward as there is nothing much other than Wimpy open in Montecasino before 10am. Ther's no pool or gym, but for the price, I wouldn't have expected them.

The staff is extremely friendly, always ready to assist with anything I needed,they are very professional,I was assisted by a Gentleman called MJ most of the time and I must say he's very professional and always has a smile on his face..very welcoming Gentleman indeed.

I noticed that the house keeping staff would knock on your door at around 08:30 for house keeping,felt slightly disturbing as check out time is at 11am,I guess it's their way of checking if the room is vacant or not but I'm sure they can handle that better by maybe cleaning rooms that have been checked out of by that time of the morning, otherwise overall experience was great I decided to put a do not disturb sign on my door the next morning.

Location really suited me. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable but a little noisy. Seemed like trucks or delivery vehicles going all night. Also didnt have a lock on my door, which was slightly unsettling.

The lock on the door was missing. It should have been replaced. Admittedly I could have asked to move rooms or get maintenance in to replace it.

Perfect and safe location. Ideal for 1-2 persons. I stayed at the ground floor, that was great. Good price - quality ratio. I would highly recommened the hotel!

The hotel does not have a dining area or elevator. However, I stayed at the ground floor so I did not need to use any stairs and the hotel is surrounded by restaurants. So it is not necessary to have these facilities on site.

Exceptional value-for-money hotel that is both functional while being modern/retro in style. Fabulous for business travellers or those on a budget. The hotel is really well situated right near the square. The rooms are better designed than most especially for women travellers who needs a well lit bathroom mirror, a mirror to get a full length view while dressing as well as a proper hairdryer that is close to a mirror. The block out curtains are really good and they are velcroed to the walls down the sides - something that it pure genius that I have not seen before in a hotel.

There was nothing that I can think of that was negative

Would have liked a kettle and coffee in room :-)
