The kitchenette in the family unit was convenient. The grounds and upkeep of the property are excellent. There is a lot of attention to detail. The pool area is welcoming and good for relaxing. It is a very quiet and tranquil place to stay over. The property is not far from the mall and casino complex.

The family unit No. 28 comprises of two bedrooms and a shared bathroom and toilet. To gain access to the bathroom and toilet, one needs to pass through the second bedroom, which can be disturbing. Although the family unit was cosy, we found it a bit small for a family of four - two adults and two older teens. I will rather book two twin rooms next to each other in future.

I really loved how tranquil the place was. It has ample parking space and it was nicely located close to our room. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of variety to choose from. The bar was fully stocked and had everything to make cocktails. It was also very neat and tidy. It’s also situated in a quiet area, it’s not far from town and mall. We felt really safe during our stay. I really appreciated their communication via WhatsApp, we received quick responses to our many questions.

Interesting B&B in the grounds of the late 19th century author, Rider Haggard's, home. Very attractive garden, comfortable room, honesty bar and dinner was available if pre-booked. (No choice of menu, except we were asked if we had any allergies.) We had a good meal of lamb chops in our room as the weather was rainy, but could have eaten at a table outside or in the house dining room. Breakfast was good, with quite a wide choice and eggs cooked to order.

Everything about the facility is awesome. From the directions to the facility, check-in, foodservice, housekeeping, entertainment, grounds. Also, the warmth and humble spirit of Lelanie, the warm welcoming by receptionist and staff at large👌🏾. The breakfast was also divine.

The fact that they do not serve dinner on week-ends, after serving such a healthy and divine breakfast.

The cleanliness and the friendliness of the goats. The staff was also generally friendly and helpful.

The fact that I was only informed when I arrived that they had recently obtained their liquor licence and we cannot bring and consume our outside liquor in the premises.

All the area and facilities are well laid out. The care given to ensure we were taken care off was next level. Supper was booked and when we were delayed it was packed for us and left in our rooms. Breakfast was most enjoyable. The gardens are spectacular.

The electrical plug system can be better set up to allow for charging next to the bed.

We were assisted very well by reception. We checked in after hours. They put on the AC for us and the room was nice and warm! We also got a free upgrade. Thank you so much! Room was clean and very well equipped.

Spacious rooms, perfect lodging environment

the toilet in the kids room is too open and doesn’t give privacy to the user. The sliding door in the main bathroom is also not ok…consider reinstalling the proper door.

The place is a 5 star wrapped in a 4 star rating. The whole experience was splendid better than the 5 star rated places because of its unique value proposition structured around the design and hospitality.

A very convenient stopover on the way through Newcastle. Comfortable rooms set in a perfectly manicured garden. Generators during load shedding.

We weren’t told that it was possible to book supper in advance. This would have been a real help as the options in town are limited.
