Wow!!! This was truely a beautiful place to stay. I just loved the setting on the dam. Even the chilly weather was not enough to stop us from sitting on the veranda watching the sun set and waking early to see the light rise from the distance. We were lucky enough to see the two resident Otters one eveing playing in the water below. The staff were suberb and accommodated my early morning start for meetings with an early, full breakfast, before I had to leave. Much appreciated. The room was a really lovely size and the little kitchenett was a welcome surprise. We saw the two pools and were able to enjoy lunch on the far deck in the warm sun. I would definately come again. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Our TV did not work on the first night, but was fixed early the next morning once we had reported it. Thank you!

Wow, wow, wow what a little piece of heaven Lady bird is, from the moment you drive in it felt like paradise. Rooms are spacious and clean, property is breathtaking and very well kept. Has some of the wine off there estate and will highly recommend it. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and wow was it tasty and great portions. The staff made us feel completely at home and I can't wait to go back.

Loved everything

We stayed at Ladybird Lodge for one night, and from the moment we've arrived, We were blown away by the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The room was spotless, with elegant decor and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The attention to detail was evident in everything, from the high-quality toiletries to the handwritten welcome note. The breakfast was exquisite, Overall, it was a flawless experience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxury escape or overnight stay.

The Breakfast was amazing, we had a variety to choose from which was good. The views were amazing and breathtaking, I saw the pictures online and even though we did not explore the entire place, the part that we were in was beautiful and can't wait to visit again so that we can do a tour of the place.

It was a bit cold and they did not have any robes or gowns as we did not want to stay in bed for the entire duration of the stay. The heater in the room did not help at all with making it warm, but I cannot wait to visit in the summer again.

Perfect position for visiting Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Wellington from one home base. The Suite was top notch from the views, to the finishing, the furnishing to the impressive bathroom .

Would have liked to have known that we could use the downstairs kitchen and braai area - we did not have a microwave or anything to warm our food. We also did not know about the swimming pool and other braai area. Would have booked another night if we had known all that was available to us. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property and our stay, merely recommending that those in the Suite need a little more orientation about their self catering options

Breakfast was great. Location was beautiful, on a lake with vineyards all around. Could see Table Mtn.

Signage should be a lot better, it is part of Laibach but we were not told that and had to ask for directions. The phone number is a central office in JHB and closes at 4pm. Reception has a phone number, why not use that? Not enough plugs in the room, could not use the kettle and TV at the same time. A phone charger plug in the room would be useful.

From the start, the staff were engaging and efficient, even before we arrived. The location is beautiful and the design of the lodge ensures all rooms have a stunning view over the lake, with Table Mountain in the distance. Sunsets were incredible. We loved our walk through the vineyards, with all the birds. Bed was enormous and comfy. Breakfast was slow and easy (a great way to start the day) There was a great family type vibe, and I felt part of the family

This has nothing to do with the Lodge, however I think it might be helpful noting that hailing an Uber can take a little longer than normal (maybe an extra 10 or 15 minutes). We got caught by that the first time.

We had the most incredible birthday getaway at this property! From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The location was picturesque, offering breathtaking views that left us in awe. The property itself was not only beautiful but also meticulously maintained. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to provide comfort and relaxation.

This was an amazing breakaway. Even it was close to home it felt like such a tranquil escape. The staff is friendly. The rooms are beautiful. It is so private. You are not even aware of other guests on the property. Lovely breakfast and the beds are very very comfy.

There was nothing I didn't like. Just one note, the roof fan in room 6 was a bit noisy, as if something was loose. But it wasn't a bother. Everything was perfect.

Spacious room with a beautiful view over the pond and surrounding nature. Swimming pool was very nice and clean. Very safe and beautiful estate.

Maybe offering their own estate wines (big fan of the 2022 white chenin blanc) with a snack at the swimming pool. It was possible to order wine if you specifically asked, but they could promote it a bit more that it is an option.
