Don Fadrique is a beautiful hotel with a joyful, generous, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff. The Chef, Nick, becomes an instant friend with his outgoing, fun, and relatable personality. He is also an incredible Chef and even knows how to prepare medieval foods. While talking to him about his knowledge & application of culinary arts, I named Nick, Mystic Chef. Hahaha ! The grounds, open back patio, decor, beautiful rooms with wood beams, modernized bathrooms, and an on-going chorus of singing birds! I will definitely go back to Don Fadrique. Please go! You will be so happy you did. Great for families with children too! The Staff members are the most helpful and kind people I met on my trip!

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

This is a charming hotel. It is not the most luxuriuos but it is nevertheless comfortable. What I liked most of all was the staff, they made you feel very welcome, it made for a really relaxing stay. There's no pressure on meal times, they are very flexible. The food was terrific too as was the pool area with fabulous views.

The only downside is that there is no aircon in the bedrooms. We visited in August with temperatures of 35c. A standing fan was provided in the room and there was some colling through leaving the window open at night.

We have to give this hotel 5 stars! The service which we noticed most of all was first class. The staff were incredibly kind, accommodating our every need. This truly made our stay the most wonderful experience. We stayed in a beautiful room, very tastefully decorated and quiet. The food was especially to note… it was exceptional. We had the Michelin menu for dinner and every dish was amazing. The dessert is a must have too! The local wine was top quality, as well as the breakfast which had so much choice! We found absolutely no faults, nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable. This is a must-visit if you are wanting to stay in a friendly and elegant place just outside Salamanca, or even just for a special meal! Incredibly worth it! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

Great location overlooking the town, friendly quirky staff, amazing restaurant food, great breakfast. while rooms in old building could improve, the food and location makes up for everything.

i stayed in one of the rooms in the old building, the bathroom needs to be renovated, very old school, windows probably dont isolate well, I was there in summer, but winter time could be challenging.

Accommodation fantastic, classic as in a noble country house. Super friendly staff. The dog was very welcome. Free parking. Large swimming pool in the summer with a magnificent view of the city. Excellent food, "dinner and breakfast", chef worthy. You just have to try this!

No airconditioning

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, the room was very nice with a lovely view. We had 2 small dogs with us which meant we dined in our room, although we were advised we could take the dogs into the dining room. The food and wine was delicious and beautifully served in our room, the home baked bread was the best I have ever tasted.

The mattress on the bed was a little too firm for a comfortable nights sleep for me as I usually sleep on a memory foam mattress.

Our experience of staying at this hotel was positive. We found the parking to be easy and were made to feel very welcome by the staff throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and had a nice traditional feel to it. The food in the resturant and for breakfast was excellent.

Hotel is in the middle of nothing. Very good for take a rest. Staff is very helpful, open and smile a lot. We really recommend restaurant at the hotel - very high level cousin.

Could be cleanest

it was perfect - food, service, hospitality, dinner, breakfast, selection of wine, atmosphere, comfortable beds. Birds were singing outside of the room. it was amazing. I was driving from London, and I had a wonderful recharge time here with my dog. i definitely recommend this place and would to come back again.

We stayed overnight Sunday/Monday. Getting a meal on Sunday evening is difficult in Spain. The owner went out of his way to provide an excellent dinner, and breakfast was also very good
