Grand Hotel Don Gregorio

This property was elegant, quiet, remarkably decorated, exceptionally clean, perfect location and the service was quite extraordinary. We have stayed in some very fine hotels, including Ritz, Four Seasons and Peninsula hotels. These hotels should each send their staff to study what exceptional service is by sending them all to learn from the staff at the Grand Hotel Don Gregorio. The attention to detail at every level, from the decor, to cleanliness, to room turn down service to overall service is really the best we have experienced anywhere else we have traveled in the world.

there is nothing at all that we did not like about this property.

The place is exceptional - top to bottom. Style, comfort, location and history - all is simply gorgeous.

The Ment Restaurant is way over the top. The whole resstaurant is overdoing sophistication. The menu is extravagant (who in the world eats lamb trotters…) - you simply do not get anything ‘normal’ in the place. I understand the ‘Michelin one star’ renomee and the will to excel,but this is just misguided. Having to download the menues with a QR code, having croissants and bakeries served on a stone for breakfast is not sophistication, it is just exaggerated and irritating.

We enjoyed the small private spa and excellent room amenities. The location is also very good, being far enough from the centre to be quiet, and still within easy reach of everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The food in the restaurant and cafeteria was very different. It was tasty and well presented, but it always seemed to take too long. We would have preferred faster service.

This is true 5 star hotel with a great lobby and refined inside. Room was not big but functional with great and spacious bathrooms. Building look historic and interior design makes you feel like staying in a old castle like royalty

Central location but quiet and near to many interesting places. Views of the cathedral and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Luxurious room and elegant hotel. Restaurant ‘Ment’ Michelin star, was an outstanding experience. Absolutely incredible dinner with wonderful service.

Internet was a little slow and inconsistent at times.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Chef Óscar provided very tasty and quality food selections. The facilities were visibly clean.

I did not like that I could not stay at that hotel longer. I had to return to the capital.

beautiful hotel with huge rooms. bed is very comfortable. Bathroom and bathtub are very nice and breakfast was yummy. would definitely come back

more soap would be needed in the bathroom as is a very small amount for 2 people. the breakfast room felt a bit bleak as we were alone and all other tables had been left with crumbs and empty bottles.

Very clean. Lovely facilities. Fantastic breakfast, best ever! Great to have valet parking. Nice staff.

We would have liked to have eaten dinner there but it turned out that the restaurant was closed. Other than that it was fine.

Ideal location, exceptionally helpful and caring staff, efficient valet parking, bathroom zone very cleverly divided into a toilet and a shower parts - a true home in the heart of charming, unforgettable Salamanca!

the hotel is superb as are the rooms. reception staff are top notch. hire the spa for an hour what a great experience.

the hotel maybe 5 star but the restaurant is 3 star. it’s a separate business that is unfortunately charging 5 star prices for mediocre service. needs some supervision which is sadly lacking
