The hosts were the most welcoming in all our years of traveling and volunteered information about Arcos to make our stay more interesting than just a stopover. The appointment of the apartment was superb. Many books about the history of the area and personal touches made the apartment more like a home than a hotel room. The property is plumb center in the historic Old Quarter of Arcos and a chock full of history, complete with remaining artefacts dating back more than a thousand years. Clean, comfortable and highly recommended.

It is hard to pinpoint anything that could have been better.

Everything! We were driving around in our own car. The morning of our arrival, unprompted, Jim, the owner Whatsapped us to find out about when we plan to arrive etc. and told us that it is not a good idea to drive to the property because of narrow roads etc. I am SO GLAD we took his advice and parked in the city parking lot and took a cab. The faciilities were awesome. Jim is from the UK, and knew enough about cricket and especially Indian cricket, so we bonded. He and his wife were great hosts. They made a reservation in a Moroccan Restuarant where the food was Excellent! Excellent apartment for the three of us with 2 bedrooms. Nice hot shower, A/C. And a fantastic view. Close to the things you want to see in Arcos.

Casa Campana is really charming, has beautiful views from its top terrace, lots of history and great hosts - it was a pleasure to enjoy the hospitality and all interactions with Jim and Isa! The breakfast at the terrace is also great, both for the food and the views. The location could not be better, right at the city center while at the same time very quiet (no cars on the street nor business around, only residences). It is perfect to disconnect and relax.

Parking at the city center (Plaza del Cabildo) is great as super central, but tricky even if your car is not big. The streets are quite narrow (to the point you almost wonder whether the car will pass) and the parking space is always full (even in March). I would recommend checking the other parking alternatives suggested by Casa Campana. The locals, they go around easily! But their cars have quite a number of scratches :)

it was a very charming independent hotel in the heart of the old town at the top of Arcos de la Frontera. Perfectly located, so that guests can walk everywhere they need to go, very close to great restaurants and utterly extraordinary views. The breakfast is excellent, a combination of local treats and delicious French press coffee, served atop the roof with the morning sun as your companion. you can tell a lot of thought has been put into the interior design of the property, it’s very unique and very different from your typical chain hotel. This hotel is truly everything you need for a great visit to Arcos—at a very reasonable price.

We liked everything about this place. We have been cycling through France and Spain for two months and this was our favorite place. Our hosts Jim and Isabel are delightful. The room was comfortable and included a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The view from the terrace is outstanding and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely return next time we come to Andalusia.

Nothing. Even the steep climb up the hill with our bicycles was worth it for the view!

This is a gem of a property. Perfectly situated in the old town of Arcos. Full of history which our generous host pointed out to us. The bed was comfortable with a well appointed shower room with a fantastic ancient feature which you will be shown! Breakfast was superb served on the incredible roof terrace. Directions to and from this hotel were spot on and we loved hopping on the free bus up the hill to the old town.

It was all perfect!

Absolutely fantastic location in the old town. Mere steps to sights, restaurants and amazing views. The rooftop terrace is wonderful, as was the breakfast served there. The house itself is steeped in history, and has been beautifully and sensitively renovated. Very friendly and helpful, and informative hosts. We highly recommend Casa Campana to anyone staying in Arcos de la Frontera (and to anyone considering staying somewhere else!).

TV didn't work very well (I think the batteries in the remote were running down), but who wants to watch TV in such a place?

The hosts Jim and ilsa were amazingly friendly and gave good insights to the building and local area. Breakfast was very comprehensive and filling and the views from the roof terrace are second to none . The streets are very narrow so parking is a good walk away but the local taxi service was great at 7 euros from out of town parking to hotel . Will be going back at some point for sure 👌

Incredibly friendly helpful staff. Amazing roof top terrace with great views. Quiet. Jim recommended local restaurants which we tried. Such a great village which deserves more than a one night stay. The owners obviously value the history of their home. Definitely a great place to stay and excellent value. Breakfast on the roof top was delicious.

it’s a home away from home. the hosts make you feel very welcome. the breakfast on the Terrasse is delicious and the view stunning. the rooms are cosy and equipped with everything you need. the bed is very comfy and I particularly liked the selection of pillows. I slept very well :)

As I was working remotely I would have appreciated a stronger and more stable internet connection
