we loved the property, it exceeded our expectations and we had a fabulous stay. the views from the roof terrace, and our own room terraces were amazing, over the hills and with lots of birds, including birds of prey, swooping around. breakfast was delicious, super fresh, and varied - lots of it too. our bedroom was very comfortable, well decorated, AC and the views from the terraces were delightful. Elena and her team were super helpful, helped us book a taxi for the return, told us about events going on in the village before our arrival, and restaurant recommendations too.

Amazing location and classic older hotel feel of a b&b. Something rare these days. A beautiful atrium and wonderful breakfast makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Building is from 1700's and has been preserved well. Amazing terrace upstairs gives a panoramic view that takes your breath away. Prioritize sunset here. Suite was beautiful and had 2 seperate rooms with a nicly arranged bathroom. Impressivly renovated while holding on to the history.

Only one odd thing. One of the receptionist was a bit spiky, the other one was fantastic. We had asked to store our bags for a walk around town after checkout. Others kindly said "yes, we will be here all day. Enjoy Arcos" upon return, the spiky receptionist delayed in answering the door to let us back in. When collecting our things we spent a few minutes collecting everything. We were told, "You have to leave. We are closed". Very weird, did not stick around to figure it out but was inconsistant with what we had been tolds earlier and made us confused. It felt quite ubrupt and odd. Was a hotel reception closed? Was the only odd thing in an otherwise wonderful stay. I would stay there again!

Wow! What a place! A small hotel in a lovely historic building, beautifully done up with lovely artworks everywhere. Our room (the three person suite) was spacious, colourful, beautifully decorated, with a view to die for. The views from the rooftop are the best in Arcos - better than any Mirador we found. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. And we even had an excellent breakfast. Location is very central.

No parking anywhere close (roads in the old town too narrow for cars), so we parked in a commercial car park and walked up (15 min), though we could have got a taxi close.

Really authentic Andalucía property with many original features like tiled floors, high ceilings with wooden beams. it was well presented and comfortable. The view from the top floor veranda was stunning. we sat there and watched the sun go down. The staff were always smiling and happy to help. Breakfast was ample. We used the underground car park about 0.75 mile away and walked up to the hotel through the town rather than get a taxi and this was no problem.

there was nothing we did not like. We stayed for 2 nights and our expectations were fully met. We looked to stay in an authentic building, and this was perfect for us

As a solo traveler in Spain for a month, I have seen a variety of accommodations. Casa Grande has been the only place I’ve been where I felt like I was visiting relatives in their home. There are decades of guest book entries that have a common theme: “my stay was too short” I was there three nights and still didn’t want to leave. you can’t get a better view than from the roof terrace.

I stayed in the little room on the roof terrace, which I adored. A night-light for the stairs up to the bathroom would be helpful.

We arriv ed late in the afternoon and the lady that greeted us was so nice and welcoming. The location of this hotel is right in the middle of the old town which means everything is on your doorstep, but you need to walk there. The hotel itself was built in the 17th century to a very wealthy family (the road/path it is on is actually named after them Maldonado, so the hotel is quirky which is what we love we stayed in a room which was downstairs and had its own balcony overlooking the lowerlands. The hotel is perched on the edge of the rock that the whole town is on with 100ft steep edges. The balcony was on 2 levels the upper level which you entered from the room had a small table and chairs but below this balcony were 2 loungers and a shower (I wasn't probably supposed to use this but what a find in hot August). The room was basic but covered our needs and the bed was fine. The breakfast was another thing, we weren't expecting much for 11 euros but this was amazing and really nice and filled us up for most of the day. All in all a great gem of a find and would definitely recommend the room with a balcony just for the shower. Edit, some of the restaurants in the town are great as well, I would recommend booking in to the Gastrobar El Retablo, again location location.

Can't think of anything, this place ticked the box for a one night stay whilst doing our Pablo Blancos trip around from San Pedro.

The house is beautiful and the staff were lovely. The place is tastefully decorated and it is spotless. Having the use of the library in the evenings was certainly a bonus! Breakfast in the mornings is a feast!!!

The toilet was integrated into the room and didn't have proper walls or a door, which was inconvenient since I was sharing with a friend, not a partner. Not having a lift was also an issue because the stairs were steep and I have a problem with my hands.

Location, location, location. This property is situated in a historic property right on the cliffs of Arcos. Everything was beautifully maintained, and tastefully decorated with perfect sunset views. The owner was extremely helpful sending directions where to park, offering advice on sites and food choices, and had bottles of wine available to thoroughly enjoy the views. Keep in mind you will park at the bottom of a steep hill and have to make your way up by taxi or walking (10 min). The entrance is in a narrow walking street surrounded by all the historic sites in town. Overall a perfect location but pack light!

The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make make our stay so pleasant.. A good example is the way that we could return to the hotel after dinner and purchase drinks that the staff would bring to the roof terrace-. This was a really thoughtful service which made our stay so enjoyable .

There was nothing we actually disliked. It was comfortable and a really quirky and interesting.

Great location right on the outer cliffs of Arcos in the old city. Ask fir a view room and your window will open right at the cliff edge! Wonderful terrace access for a lovely evening with lighted churches on either side. Also close to several cafes and tapas bars. Beet quaint and positives outnumber negatives by quite a lot.

Needed a coffee maker and little frig. The staff accommodated us by placing items in their own frog, but that is standard in most hotels.
