location and how clean it is

management decided to turn off the A/C in the entire building when the weather is still warm sleeping with balcony door open to compensate for inside heat was a challenge

The hotel is clean, quiet and located in the most perfect part of town. Everything is in walking distance. The staff is very friendly. We had a small balcony on the street but when the doors are closed it was very quiet. Plenty of blankets for colder nights and bed very comfy. Would love to come back!!

1. No kettle in the room 2., no air vent in bathroom. 3. The shower takes getting used to (it was difficult to turn off all the way)

The location is amazing! It's close to Las Ramblas (11 min walk) and very close to lots of eating places and is located directly outside a metro station (Jaume I). It is also easy to commute to Barceloneta beach on foot (its a good walk 15 mins) but definitely scenic and doable. I. bought the Hello Barcelona travel card and didn't found I needed it for the days that I stayed here. I walked to most of the attractions around this location. The beds were comfortable and the size of the room was just right for two people. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Did not have the breakfast but lots of eating places around where you can get a continental breakfast or similar for cheaper. The wifi worked well and the rooms were clean with good and modern facilities. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location of the hotel was excellent and with a metro just outside it was easy to get around the city for our planned attractions. The room was lovely and comfortable but with two exceptions which are important to my age group (middle 60's) We need two comfortable chairs to sit in and relax after our meal. Another small point is for Continental Hotels to provide a kettle to make Tea and Coffee. I would be happy to pay a few more Euros for this luxury as I did not have room in my luggage to take my portable kettle with me.

Nothing really it was a bit noisy but we have to expect this in a city centre hotel with a lot of people and transport moving around past the hotel.

the location was unbelievable. every time we went for a walk and wanted to come back home, we just couldn’t believe how close it was to everything!

we are a couple and there were two single beds pushed together. our room didn’t have much of a window, besides a sun roof, so it made it feel a bit boxy.

Location is ideal for exploring the city. It was only a ten minute walk from the stop where the airport shuttle bus terminated. This was by far the easiest way to and from the airport. The Hop on Hop Off tour buses were also picked up from the same location and were great for accessing the Gaudi sites and many other main tourist locations The buffet breakfast was varied and catered for a wide range of tastes. Staff were helpful and provided us with a kettle when requested. The room was comfortable and had the advantage of a safe and a small fridge. The area benefited from many restaurants and tapas bars.

The room was adequate but a little on the small side. Would have been nice to have an easy chair in the room and tea/coffee making facilities.

Seems like it was freshly renovated. The really bad reviews from previous years couldn't be confirmed by us. We liked the location near to gothic quarter. Every room seems to have a tiny balcony with a very nice view. We asked for special pillows and they were provided before we checked in.

The staff at the checkin wasn't very nice. You can hate your job but in this business you nevertheless need to smile always. I don't understand why the ashtrays are always installed in front of the entrance. You have to pass the smokers "wall" everytime you passing the entrance.

Location is good, room was quite during the night, despite it being near the metro station and the gotic area. The staff was helpful and overall it was an excellent stay.

The sewage system needs an urgent upgrade. It smells and it does not work appropriately. As a temporary solution we kept the bathroom door closed during the night and opened the balcony in the morning while eating at the cafeteria. The cafeteria could mix some dishes to look more atractive for those on long stays. The air conditioner system does not heat the air but we didn.t need it much.

I really liked the fact that the hotel room was very clean, and the staff were very attentive, kind, and had a good command of the English language.

It was evident that the extra pillow was not cleaned beforehand, the rooms are not very sound proof which means that you can hear noise from inside and outside of the hotel, and unfortunately the L4 metro line was not working at the time of our stay so we had a 10 minute walk to another train station. Other than that there were no factors that annoyed us.

The location could not be better. On the edge of the Gothic Quarter, with shops and restaurants on your doorstep. The entrance to the metro was right outside the front of the hotel. Las Ramblers was a 10 min walk. The room was"as sold". Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a nice big walk-in shower. The only downside was not much room for putting your clothes away.

The hotel bar was shut, and breakfast, if not purchased at the time of booking, was an extra €10 on the day per person. Our room was on the 5th floor, front. It had no windows but did have a very modern, fully electric sky light, which was different.
