The whole experience matched my expectations: staff were unfailingly welcoming and polite; there was a willingness to go the extra mile and I felt that there was a strong customer focus to the day to day interactions.

I think taxi access to the hotel is an issue. My experience from several taxi journeys is that there is a wariness amongst the drivers resulting in a mixed reaction to drop-off. For example, my first driver dropped me at the door but voiced unease about the location; another dropped me off at the end of the alleyway. There is no easy solution to this but I thought it worthy of mention.

The concierge team went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and provide insider tips on the best places to visit and dine in the city. Zen modern meets old Roman stone — extremely relaxing hotel in a perfect location full of shops and restaurants with nurturing service on a level I’ve never experienced before. The staff gets to know you and is there for your needs. This hotel is a gem— a 10 out of 5. We miss it already.

The beds not quite as firm as we like , a tad springy. Still very comfortable. it’s next to impossible to find fault with this amazing hotel. It also can be confusing for some taxis to find it, as it is nestled in the passageways of the Gothic Quarter. But it’s worth any confusion, trust me!

Loved our stay here, We also really loved the Gothic Quarter - you can walk anywhere from here and everything is within walking distance. The area is very charming. Breakfast was delicious and the staff attentive and helpful. They pay attention to the details and we felt spoiled during our stay.

The only negative was the shower- I would have preferred a hotter shower but I do take very hot showers. The water was warm, not hot.

Everything! Our vacation to Barcelona would’ve been the same without the perfect stay at The Mercer Hotel. It was very noticeable that they thought of every detail, the crew was kind, smiled and the service was flawless. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe. The room, oh the room… no words to describe how comfortable the bed was, the design was intimate and yet we had so much space. We mostly would like to give big thanks to Mario, who gave us the feeling we could ask anything, gave us some perfect recommendations and made the reservations for us. If we ever come back to Barcelona, there is no other hotel for us but Mercer! ♥️

nothing, it was absolutely PERFECT.

The staff were amazing. Room nice and large and super clean. Beautifully decorated. Location perfect. The breakfast could be better. But the care of the staff, we arrived with bags. We called from the cab, and even though you can’t drive to the hotel they sent someone to get us and our luggage with a Cart. We truly loved this hotel. The rooftop is nice but we did not use. Room was quiet and lovely. Thank you

I love this small hotel in Barcellona, the personal touch and the extra care of the staff is second to none of the best hotel in the world. The Hotel is incredibly charming and the decor of the rooms is absolutely wonderful. The bed is among the most comfortable I have slept in hotel. The breakfast is well above standard and absolutely excellent.

Unfortunately for his nature (in the old quarter) the rooms are a bit dark. It doesn't bother me but is to be mentioned.

The perfect place to sleep off the jet lag and a base to enjoy the sights and food of Barcelona. Close proximity and walking distance restaurants, bars and city attractions. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area of the Gothic neighbourhood as it's tucked away on a very charming street. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was relatively large for a European hotel room. A/C was fantastic and the roof top pool area is definitely something to take advantage of after a day out. The interior design and colour palette of the room made for a very serene environment. The room and hotel have a lot of character, as it was retrofitted from a Roman fortress. The black-out blinds were definitely a plus. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The concierge was great at helping us with dinner plans. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again.

everything was amazing, from room to breakfast. service in the restaurant was exceptional!

the only drawback was that in the actual room there was not enough light in the bedroom. in the bathroom area over the sinks it was enough, but living area was a bit too dark.

Beautiful spaces, living wall in the courtyard outside of our room, great bar and fabulous staff.

It was a challenge to get there because the cab from the car rental location was too big to drive in that area of the Barrio Gotic, we ended up walking several blocks to find the hotel.
