Nice location, wonderful view from our terrace, and a very nice rooftop bar. Walkable to most tourist destinations, and the bed was very comfortable.

A couple of interactions from the staff that didn't make us feel welcome. On the first day, we were in our travel clothes and I guess maybe didn't look like we didn't belong there??? by the way we were treated by a few staff members.

the location of the property is brilliant, there are so many attractions / restaurants nearby. the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were very helpful. the rooftop terrace had the most amazing views.

the drinks on the terrace were rather expensive, unsure if this is the regular price for this type of experience but it made you not want to spend much time up there.

Excellent location. So excellent, some doorman don't want to call you a taxi. The front desk will, so be persistent. You can walk to a common taxi stop (3 mins), but it's 1st come, 1st serve and iffy in a jiffy.

AC was terrible at first. It took forever to cool off, which makes a MISERSBLE stay when trying to recover from your jet-lagged overseas flight. We changed rooms to another side of the bldg the next day and it was fine. They should only put Europeans WHO ARE USED to no/low AC on the day sun facing side. For us overseas, jet lagged folks. It's impossible to relax or be comfortable in the summer heat.

the internet was disconnected on the second day of our stay. Rooftop bar, if you are booking this hotel with the promise to use the rooftop bar as it has a great view of the cathedral, you should be thinking again. Lots of outsider visitors are coming there every evening and they all want the be at spot (corner seats with the view). Maybe you just think of taking some photos as there is rare opportunity you can find a spot to sit at the edge and enjoy the view. This was another disappointment to us.

The location is amazing. The hotel and the rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. Some members of the staff are excellent but not all.

The first room (in the corner) we got smelled so bad. We thought it would go away with ventilation and by pouring water in the drains. However, it was unbearable two nights later. The staff was very attentive (but not very surprised) and moved us to a different room. Later, they said it is because sth is wrong around that room with its location. The second room we got was very clean and in good shape, but this time, it was very noisy as it was a connecting room.

Our room was a great size, was very clean and all of the fixtures/furniture felt very modern. The bed was also very comfortable. Great central location in the Gothic Quarter with a lot of cool restaurants nearby and shops to look at. The staff were also lovely and attentive. Also make sure you visit the rooftop for great views of the Barcelona Cathedral - there is a small pool to dip your feet into which is great after being out in the heat all day.

The elevators were very slow and small which would have been ok as a stand-alone issue, however sometimes I would have to wait for 3-4 elevators because I was waiting behind people who were not guests and were only visiting the bar. I feel like the hotel should prioritise the guests for the elevator queue given the speed/size of the elevators, and since I’m sure the bar guests would not mind waiting a few minutes vs. the guests who are trying to get back to their room after a long day of exploring.

Great Location. Because of it's location on the square we could open our doors and hear classical guitar, street opera, symphony orchestra. we could close our door and not hear any noise from the street below. location in Gothic Quarter was great. Had a great meal at the restaurant and enjoyed the rooftop bar.

while I love the rooftop bar, it was open to the public. At times this made for a longer wait for the elevator. I would prefer if roof top guests could only access the roof Snd not all floors of hotel. on one elevator this was the case that you needed a card to access your floor. but rooftop guests could ride to the roof without a card.

Very central location. The room was comfortable, as was the bed. The rain shower head had very strong water pressure and the water was hot. It was great! I can't speak enough of the front desk personnel, as well as the doormen. We had difficulty flagging down a taxi cab driver and he was kind enough to help us get a taxi. Everyone is very helpful, kind and pleasant. Oh, excellent location to Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter and of course right next to Catedral de Barcelona.

I can't think of anything I did not like about this hotel.

Fantastic location right opposite the cathedral. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Wonderful staff! Room was immaculate and bedding/towels changed daily. A really wonderful hotel with a fantastic roof top bar!

On booking.com it comes up as having a swimming pool. There is NO swimming pool. There is a water feature about 30cms deep. You couldn't really use it as it's not sectioned off from the diners in the bar. Lifts are slow and small. Charging for replacement tea/coffee is not good especially as only one tea bag is initially provided.
