I loved the lobby and the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I also liked females and males could be separate and it's specifically for younger people. I liked that the beds were made and felt clean and the towels were good in size.
The other people staying there were quite loud and not really respectful of others. The doors slammed really loudly and can here every drop of noise even in your room, being right by the stairs. I also didn't like the showers how they didn't really get warm and only stayed on if you kept clicking them.

After my 7-1/2 hours flight, Astrid was a warm and welcome sight. She is stunning!! All the staffers were great. I was able to drop my luggage off prior to the 3 pm check in. That gave me unencumbered time to explore Barcelona. The staff did a free pasta night on Monday, which turned in to a lovely communal dinner. I met some great people from all over the world. The location was very walkable and offered easy access to all forms of public transportation. The free WiFi was a plus and it worked well. Beds were clean and as comfortable as you could expect for a bunk. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly.
That I didn’t stay longer.

I recently stayed at this hostel and overall had a fantastic experience. The hostel is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. The staff, for the most part, were very welcoming and helpful.
Unfortunately, our interaction with one staff member, Candela, was less than pleasant. In a specific situation, she was very rude and tried to make it seem like we were lying, just an unnecessary and uncomfortable experience. Also, there were a few discrepancies between what was listed online and what we found at the hostel. The price of towels was higher than advertised, beach towels weren’t offered as mentioned, and the cost of the locks was also more expensive. These were minor inconveniences but worth noting for future guests. Despite this, I would still recommend the hostel!

The hostel is very well situated, 20 minutes walk to the Sagrada Familia, Ciutadella Park, really close to the gothic quater and La Rambla and about 30, 40 minutes to the beach. The staff is very friendly, gave us great recommendation for restaurants and were always nice. The breakfast was okay either toast with jam or cereal, and coffee was always ready. The hostel organise activities all the time, from dinners to pub crawls. The people in the hostel were very nice. The air-conditioning was also working well.
The bathrooms were cleaned every day, however at the end of the day there was hair near the sinks, and the windows from our room led to the staircase so there was not too much natural light. The metallic lockers under the bed do make a lot of noise sometimes.

I was welcomed at the hostel by Marcela, who was super helpful and very kind. The hostel is very centrally located, with a metro station (Girona) barely 100m from the front door. The beds were comfortable, washrooms clean, and the people in the hostel were cool and respectful of other people's privacy. On one night of the stay, we all conversed and bonded over dinner, an experience that made the stay here even more better! I can highly recommend the place, especially for solo travellers.
Everything was up to standards, with little to complain about. Maybe just one thing that my room (shared by 6 people) had only one small window, so it kinda used to become stuffy inside very quickly, and we had to air it out regularly, which made the room a bit chilly at night.

Vibes and staff super cool atmosphere If you are a solo traveler or a couple who is coming to Barcelona for the first time, you can find travel buddies and friends here in 2 seconds. 20 minutes after, The night i arrived i found myself in clubs of Barcelona with 10 to 15 new people who became my friends.
The facilities are not super nice, zero privacy as there's no curtains for beds and there's just one toilet for all men and one for all women on the second floor where the rooms are. But as i said the good vibes and friendly atmosphere wash all negativity off.

I had such a good experience at the Mediterranean youth hostel! It was very small which meant it was easy to meet everyone who was staying there. Everyone was so nice and it was a great community. They had some events and some dinners you could attended which were delicious and a great way to meet everyone. My favorite part was the pub crawls with Dani, she made it a really fun experience but also made everyone feel safe and taken care of. Definitely my favorite hostel I’ve stayed in during all my travels!
Facilities were not super, but OK.

Great location, hostel was very clean, nice system with digital keys so you can just open all the doors with the phone
People in my room were very disrespectful (it’s not a hostel fault, can happen anywhere), but when I checked in and staff member showed me the room there was a huge bottle of vodka on the shoe shelf and it was considered okay, next day another bottle of wine and glasses appeared there… I wish hostel had some policy against drinking in the rooms… Also it was quite hot sleeping on the top bunk bed, even with the open window (it’s only March, can’t imagine how it is in summer)

So many activities to get together, interesting friendly people
During my stay here for 3 days, there was a girl who goes to her laptop every 8 in the morning everyday inside the room to teach english language class and that pissed everyone in the room lol thats why there are common spaces in the hostel🖤just beware that you could be in a room with people of no self awareness! Everyone is dead tired from exploring barcelona, and it was a hot August, so would be nice to be in room with considerate people 😁

good hostel for solo travellers, the hostel organises loads of activities so it's very easy to meet new people, the staff was great and very friendly. the breakfast was simple but good, the hostel is very well situated, we walked almost everywhere and in a calm neighbourhood.
the room did not have a window with natural light so it was quite dark. The lockers under the bed are metallic and make a noise. the bathrooms at the end of the day were a bit dirty (hair everywhere in the girl bathroom)
