Emperatriz II

The location could hardly have been bettered - right on the main street, between the Plaza Mayor and the cathedrals, and surprisingly peaceful too (except when the religious procession for the centenary of St Teresa came slowly marching along below my window).

It's a rather old-fashioned place, but perfectly acceptable.

Perfectly situated and within walking distance of all the interesting sites. The room was spotless and I think newly decorated since our visits last year. Very good Continental Breakfast that set us up until a late lunch.

The bathroom, although perfectly clean hadn't been updated to the shower room we had last year, which was disappointing. Also the shower head was poorly fitted to the wall. The air conditioning was very effective, but blew out over the beds! .

Location is obviously excellent and the room was great value for money. My room had a balcony with an amazing view of the catedral vieja and el convento de san esteban. Good working bathroom, and a very comfy bed.

The TV wasn't working at the time.

Hotel was really central and very reasonably priced,staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned daily

No kettle in room so couldn't make coffee,the buffet breakfast was very poor and in a room with no air con in 39 degree heat

Bit noizy, you hear the showers of the whole building, and all the sounds from the street. 😂But hey...for this price we took it for granted! Probably shutters would be a welcome solution.

Very basic, but delightful hotel situated within a short walk of the Plaza Mayor. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom. This was our second visit to the hotel within four week, having come across it (on recommendation), when we were unable to gain access to the hotel we had previously booked. A happy find.

Nothing. The hotel provided everything we needed; clean, comfy beds and a nice bathroom which provided soap and shower gel. What more could one want!

authentic Spanish hospitality, secure and safe property with friendly staff , very clean , sufficiently furnished, quiet and restful atmosphere.

I didn’t find anything unpleasant there.

fantastic location, right in central old town Salamanca. Staff was excellent and always there.

Rooms very small, beds not the most comfortable and the shower handle was broken.

This is the most basic and cheapest accommodation I have ever booked and they allowed our dog to stay. It is very central and we had a comfortable stay.
