Everything was excellent. Friendly, pleasant & professional staff at reception, restaurant, pool side etc. Well decorated hotel including my room. Very comfortable bed, safe, big sized room (including a big wardrobe) and ample bathroom - includes 2 wash hand basins, big shower cubicle with copious amount of water from shower head, plenty of lights, & bidet. Efficient, silent air conditioning. Bed has two bedsheets & duvet - unlike many hotels nowadays which only provide one bedsheet & duvet. Great breakfast & excellent, well-priced dinner. Parking - either you park in the exterior (175 parking bays within the grounds of the hotel) or park in the underground (12 parking bays approximately), both options seemingly very secure. Nice pool and grounds around it. Five minutes away from Puente Romano (Roman Bridge) and from there some 10 more minutes to the very centre of Salamanca.

Nothing - everything was great! Just one suggestion - some steps to be installed at the swimming pool for ease of entry & exit, especially for the older persons or those with some difficulty.

It's not just the hotel, it's the experience. A huge building right on the town square. The room didn't have a view, didn't have a balcony and wasn't particularly noteworthy, but to stay in a building which has been a royal hospital, a pilgrim's hostel and holds the emblem of St James since it was built in the fifteenth century is a truly memorable experience. Incidentally the food in its restaurants is really good.

There would have been drawbacks if it was a 'normal' hotel. Car parking is a short walk away. The square is busy 24/7, but it really doesn't matter.

lovely quiet location and nice walks by the river and into the old town. over the pedestrian Roman bridge). Also nice to have an outdoor pool to relax after a lot of travel & sightseeing. All the staff were great. Our bedroom was big, beds comfortable and had a nice table and chairs by the window. It was spotlessly clean. We paid extra for the view of the cathedral and it was worth it. We stayed an extra night liked it so much. A big thing for us is a kettle ans when I asked at reception I was given one immediately. The waiter at breakfast allowed me to take the remains of my milk bottle and we had tea looking at the cathedral before bed. Perfect.

The food. Breakfast was beautifully served linen tablecloths and waiters etc with views but the food could be better. No museli and coffee served was too strong for me. They had a machine but I couldn’t work it and didn’t ask for help! Lunch was expensive for a sandwich but a bit disappointing. The same bread from breakfast which wasn’t very fresh I think. maybe just not to our taste.

Superb location overlooking the Old City (our room did, but not all do so), which is a 15 minute walk - alternatively take a taxi to the Plaza Mayor for about 7 Euros and then walk back to the Paradore. Large car park which is free. Our room was spacious and comfortable with two armchairs and plenty of storage space. The breakfast was good, with eggs cooked to order and including omelettes. As in many Paradores, the public areas are exceedingly spacious with plenty of comfortable seating and a good bar area.

The bed was reasonably comfortable but only about 5 feet wide, which is less than most in 4 star hotels and in other paradores. When we checked out and mentioned this to the receptionist it was obviously an observation others had also made.

The view exceeded expectations with a fabulous view of the cathedral and town. It was an easy walk into the main town for a reasonably abled person. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable for my taste.

Actually nothing to do with the hotel however there was another guest that was playing videos on their phone quite loudly at the patio dinner table. Ideally I would have expected the restaurant staff to have asked the guests to turn the video off to at least use headphones. A minor irritant as we just moved tables.

What a first class hotel this was. The receptionist changed our room to one nearer the lift, 133, when he realised that my husband was partly disabled. He also sent 2 English style pillows to the room, although their pillows were very comfortable, as was the bed. The air conditioning was quiet and just right. The evening meal of fish at 8.30 was delicious, and there were many choices. Parking was free. Breakfast was superb with so many items to chose from. An omelette with bacon was cooked to order. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, overlooking the citadel.

More than one English TV channel would have been welcome, but seeing the BBC news was fine. This is a minor comment.

Nice hotel with amazing views of the Salamanca skyline and at walking distance from the city center. Rooms are huge! Buffet breakfast with everything you can wish for

The opening hours of the swimming pool: it is difficult to understand why it only opens at 11:30, when checkout time is 12:00. The bathrooms were not very clean, the toilet, though sealed as if cleaned was still dirty inside. A few things that do not meet the quality standards one would expect from a Parador. The personnel was mostly friendly to Spanish speakers.

Breakfast and dinner were very good. The views to the town, directly facing the cathedral, were good. Our room looked directly across to the skyline view of the cathedral. We walked in to the city centre, down the steepish hill and across the Roman pedestrian bridge, taking around 15 mins. We were very content with everything and would stay here again. Car parking was easy within the hotel grounds. The hotel is very clean and attractively appointed.

I would have preferred a separate shower cubicle. I find it difficult to have to step in and out of a bath to have a shower.

This place is a great option for a visit to Salamanca. Because it is not in the city center it is very quiet. It’s just a small walk to the Roman bridge were you can enter the old town of this lovely city. The rooms and bathrooms are very big and confortable. The views are splendid. There is a big and clean pool to. Breakfast is buffet style. We had an expensieve race bike on the car and we were able to take the bike in the room. What a great service!! The quality price balance was very good.

Beautiful view on the 'skyline' of the village. Free parking. Friendly welcome and info on wifi, breakfast and the different facilities at check in. Good bed, good shower and jacuzzi! Pretty decent wifi. Quiet! Pretty good breakfast. Spacious room with a good couch. The hotel has a very pretty interior. It is a 20-30 min walk to the city centre over a long Roman bridge.

Lots of mosquito's in the bathroom. A few in the room and they got me out of my sleep for a moment.
