Casona de La Paca

Lovely old house with grounds providing sitting areas and shade. The staff were all delightful and so helpful. The breakfast was excellent, we never needed to have lunch! We had a room with a separate seating area which gave us a lot more space, bed was very comfortable, and we had a Juliet balcony with views to the hills inland. It was a 15 minute walk down to Cudillero, and probably 5 mins more to come back up the hill, quite strenuous! Lots of places to eat in Cudillero, we were recommended to El Faro which was very good. Having a pre dinner drink at the hotel before setting off was a particular pleasure - best G and T's ever!

Being an old house, some of the plumbing was quite noisy, particularly in the hour or two before breakfast. Likewise you could hear people moving around in other rooms. It didn't really bother us though.

We'd booked a place in Cudillero, which was awful, so we found this place online and moved up the road. A stunning hotel, beautiful grounds, friendly helpful staff, and a restaurant just down the road which more than made up for the over expensive and not very good food in the Port. Breakfast was extra, but very nice indeed! We will definitely stay there again!

Everything was perfect!

I have never stayed anywhere so simultaneously pristine and homely. The house is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous attention to detail. And the hosts do everything possible to make you feel at home and well cared for. Really tasty coffee as well. Walking distance to town. A real gem.

Breakfast room could feel a little crowded sometimes. One man became angry as he was sat very close to our table and made a scene about how loud he found us (my friend is partially deaf). A bit upsetting to experience that kind of confrontation so early in the day.

Beautiful building with lots of charm. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke English. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and all served to your table. Cudillero is a very lovely interesting town, 15 minute walk from hotel, steep climb back up.

The only minor thing is they have wooden floors in the rooms which meant we could hear the people above sometimes but it wasn’t a problem for us. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel with very efficient staff So helpful and friendly Breakfast was exceptional quality Staff could not be more helpful. Rooms were spacious very clean and had beautiful views. Nice added touch of complimentary sweets and beach towel to use.

We can very much recommend this hotel, it is a great place to say and the architecture and deign of building and the rooms are wonderful. We would also like to thank Rachel for being so helpful during our short stay and we would stay longer next time. The breakfast was also very good.

It had a a relaxed feel and the staff were superb and couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast was wonderful with very fresh ingredients.

Nothing to dislike other than a steep walk to and from the town. Easy for younger folk.

Welcoming reception, beautiful and stylish interior, big rooms and a wonderful garden to hang out. The breakfast is also excellent. This hotel makes you feel better than at home.

It is a bit of a distance to Cudillero, but actually a nice walk. This was also clear to us when we booked. The advantage is the free parking next to the hotel.

The place is beautifull, well equipped with nice toiletries, comfortable bedding and nice towels. The team was super friendly and spoke great English too.

The breakfast would hae been nicer if it was in a buffet style. Neverthelss the food was nice and there was good variety of local produce.

What a great place with comfy beds and amazing, courteous staff. I highly recommend taking breakfast here. It was fantastic, made to order and very healthy. it is walking distance to Cudillero, 20 min down, and a bit more going up :). A great walk. then you can take the elevator up to your room!
