The hotel was really lovely, it had a lot of character and space inside. My room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything high quality. The bed was super comfortable (I overslept which says it all!), the shower and bathroom were also first class. At the top of the stairs outside my room was a beautiful, large lounge area, with sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. A really lovely communal space to sit and read, or to pass time with others

The one single thing which disappointed me a little was breakfast. It was unclear to me what was on offer. The staff were very kind, but for me it would be better either to have a breakfast menu which could be chosen from, or just have a buffet where guests select directly based on the available choice. Let me say, without this minor disappointment the hotel was a clear 10 all day long!!

We loved everything about this hotel. The hotel as well as the outside area is completely new and decorated very elegantly and tastefully. The building is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable. Very comfortable beds and showers. A beautiful salon to relax if the weather might be rainy and beautiful terraces all around. Great breakfast and snack options. But what made our stay truly unforgettable was the wonderful staff. At el Rosal the hostess and the staff have made hospitality into an art. Extremely kind, attentive and helpful. We really felt like we were at home in el Rosal and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

This is an exceptional place to stay. It looks like a small manor house but has been refurbished to an amazing standard with the best of everything. It was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was ultra modern with a superb rainfall shower. The Queen size bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning silent, but very effective. The staff were wonderful and it felt as though nothing would be too much trouble. Definitely recommend.

We came across this hotel while looking for a place to stay during our road-trip through Asturië. The personal gave us a very warm welcome and told us about all the beautiful hotspots in the area. We were looking for somewhere just outside Cudillero and this was the perfect location. The building has been beautifully renovated with all mod cons and offers a real boutique experience. The staff were lovely and so helpful. We had the full breakfast and loved it, but you can save money and have a smaller breakfast or none at all - there's no pressure. Asturias airport is only about 20 minutes drive away, but there is no airport noise.

Nothing. Some people might prefer to be closer to restaurants (there is one good one down the road), but we like a quieter location.

This hotel is a real find! Beautiful and classic building with complete modernization in all areas. Great location with parking and easy access to Cudillero and the surrounding areas. Spacious, updated and clean rooms in a quiet area very close to many good restaurants. The hosts/owners are delightful people, knowledgeable about the area and so welcoming. Excellent authentic regional breakfast. We’re so glad we chose to stay here!

Beautiful property. Helpful, friendly staff with English language skills. Staff recommended points of interest along the northern coast of Asturias that were worthwhile and scenic. Excellent, delicious buffet breakfast for 10 euros a person. New hotel, a converted summer home of wealthy Spaniards. Property is in pristine condition.

This hotel is a brand new restoration of a beautiful building and they’ve done a fantastic job. Bedrooms and facilities are designed brilliantly and are beautifully clean and well presented. Rosaría and her colleagues were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for their guests.

The music constantly too loud and in every corner, particularly outside. Turn it down and choose Spanish music !!

Superb accommodation in every way, super comfortable room & ample parking. Very helpful owner.

Cudillero itself is difficult for visitors at present because of gas works. You cannot drive through the centre & need to take a lengthy detour to park at the other side of the town. We also found quite a lot of the centre dilapidated.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful, and the breakfast was a highlight! It seemed like a much better hotel options compared to the others in the same area.

Can’t think of anything that could have been better.
