It's in a gorgeous setting, with stunning views of San Sebastian..Very nice rooms, large, very quiet,.Dinner available with terrific views (food not memorable). Nice buffet breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful and accommodated thoughtfully to our special needs. Would recommend ocean view rather than garden view rooms. Would definitely recommend it for couples and families. Play structure and grass for kids to run around on.

One needs a car. Would be very difficult to get to San Sebastian ville without. I would have loved some nicer soap/shampoo --a little thing that makes me feel pampered.

The room we had was an absolutely excellent family room, perfect layout for us. It was super clean and comfortable. Staff at the property were all very professional and friendly. What was really exceptional was the day we left, we were driving to Bilbao to catch a ferry, halfway there we realised all of families passports were left behind, we had no time to turnaround as we would have missed the ferry. But we called the hotel, and Helmut in reception very kindly found our passports, send us scanned copies of them all so we were able to board our ferry and kept them safe until we could arrange their collection

The views are out of this world, the rooms were spotless and modern. Pets accepted at additional cost. Check in was easy and hotel grounds are beautiful.

Having to take our dog to the restaurant with us wasn’t great because it’s small and people dining didn’t appreciate it. We take our dog away because she’s well behaved when left but if it’s their policy then that’s how it is. I found the restaurant staff to be a little unwelcoming but that could have been the language barrier

Really nice hotel with a 'family' feel. It was opening that day for summer 2024 but there was a really nice feel about the hotel. We eat in the bar and the food was of a very high standard -my partner's salmon salad matching my own Calamari -very reasonable prices too. Though it was too cold when we were there you could see they had a fantastic terrace area outside with stunning views-would be amazing in the summer.

Not the hotel's fault but Google maps tries to take you up the small track -much better to drive past this up to the sign and take the longer, bigger road in.

Without doubt the BEST family hotel room we’ve had in our various travels in Spain. We’ve loved everything about the place - the pool, the staff, the views/location - were all exceptional! They accommodated our earlier than planned arrival without fuss, which was very welcome. It was easy to walk down the road to catch the bus into the centre of San Sebastián & we found getting a taxi back (12€ approx) was preferable to pushing our daughter wheelchair up the steep hill! I was particularly impressed with the high standards of the housekeeping. Nothing was too much trouble including extra pillows, a kettle (we Brits love our brews!) etc. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to return next year!!

The location and surroundings are great. The ocean view of the pool is impressive and everyone was friendly & very helpful. The room had a bath tub, a nice view towards the garden and was spacious, clean & comfortable. The beds are comfortable as well & guests have everything they need.

The food choices for dinner were ok. The breakfast buffet & the coffee in general were very good too. Unfortunately we were unlucky and received orange juice that wasn't fresh anymore and we could taste it. My husband & myself both encountered dirty cutlery and had to look for clean knives & forks. These are small things but sometimes they make a difference for guests. All in all we had a great time at Gudamendi & recommend staying there.

The check in went fast and the staff was friendly. The hotel is beautiful and has a nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch and diner with a beautiful view. We felt welcomed and they were also friendly to our dog! The drive to San Sebastian is around 15/20 minutes so if you have a car the hotel is good located. The pool is nice.

In the evening we went to the bar/restaurant for a drink and there was a bit a stressful atmosphere. There were a bit to many tables for just two people staff and you saw that the service was a bit slacking. The gym could have an upgrade if you're looking for a good sport session. All with all, would come back for an other stay!

The view from the veranda towads the bays is memorizing, the entrance to the property is magnificent, representing Basque architecture, and landscaping,Ample parkiing and free.

The front desk staff has no maps for the city and although, lots of brochures, not too welcoming to show directions. This hotel is way out in the suburbs, But is located in in Guernika, where Picasso painted his famous master piece because of the events happened, during the infamous Spanish Civil war.

The rooms are comfortble but not very big. There is no space for a big suitcase. But the view from the room was excellent and the beds are very comfortable.

I didn't like that when we enter all the room smellt of detergent. It have been just cleaned and still smelling of "lejia" very strong. May be the cleaning staff have to use not so strong smelling detergents and ventilate after clening better the room(s).

we loved the pool, Althing it would be better to have longer opening times, during the beautiful evening/ sunset the pool was closed but it was lit up by the sun abs the decking area by the pool is the only place to view the seascape with the sun setting on the horizon. lovely views.

most staff friendly but the lady I charge if the cafe/ bar area was really quite unpleasant and rude. Also, as the pool isn’t life guarded I don’t see why it can’t be used by guests before 10am abs after 8pm- pool opening times needed to be longer to be able to get most out of using its lovely pool.
