Room 540 was brilliant and also had room 349 & 341 which were both excellent. Staff were magnificent. Very well trained and consistently of high quality right across the hotel. Celebrated a big Birthday on our visit, reception staff noticed on check in. Spoiled us with bottle of bubbly and chocolates in our room. Lovely Surprise. Will highly recommend to Friends and Family who travel to Madrid

Swimming Pool & Terrace bar - closed given time of year but maybe would have been nice to have the bar at least open on Friday or Saturday night with heaters -Small issue.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The design is gorgeous with many unique details everywhere, with descriptions for different art pieces. All the staff was lovely and the check in was seamless. Location was very central, about 15 mins walking distance to all the main tourist sites in the city. Looking forward to stay here again!

The gym is pretty small, it can't really fit more than 3 people at once, but it has all the basics.

Great location with easy access to lots of different areas of Madrid. The rooftop bar was good for late night drinks and daytime snacks & coffee, lunch etc. It was too hot to sit on the terrace in August but it looked nice. Good service with doorman an added extra. Free beers in the room was a nice touch. Good air-conditioning in the room which was needed in the heat of summer.

The room was quite small but was nonetheless well designed. Our bathroom door was broken so didn't shut properly but the shower was good.

Amazing location that was centrally placed for exploring Madrid. Airport was 15 mins in cab and easy to find and use in both directions. At the hotel Staff were all individually helpful In Their roles,.from the rooftop barman to the reception team. The room was as expected with a top hotel. Nice finishing touches included hair straighteners and “the White Company” toiletries which smelt gorgeous.

A turn down service is offered but feel it’s not needed T this hotel and it was used when I was out on one of the nights. I had said no the first night. They opened up a skyline set of windows, I couldn’t reach to close and therefore meant it was noisy and cold the second night.

Breakfast was excellent. On a par with the Grand Amsterdam and Old Majestic in Barcelona.

We had to move rooms. There was a plumbing issue in our first room. There was a leak from the basin. Towels on floor to mop up. We think the hotel knew about it, and had been an issue for some time, and not an easy fix for the hotel, hence the reason after 3 complaints, we got another room. All of that was not really handled well.

The location is perfect, The rooftop is amazing, and the look of the hotel is very beautiful. The pool is nice and clean and the bar is inviting. Nice cocktails!

What I did not like too much was I had a room without a street view so no direct sunlight. The floor of the room was damaged. The safe did not work even when I asked three days in a row to fix it. Some drawers in the closet were broken.

The staff were outstanding, particularly Gabriella, Davide (in reception) and Francesco (in the gym.

On arrival, we were given a room without a double bed and then told, when we protested, that there was no room with a double bed for us - we would have to accept two singles sheeted together. The manager quickly offered us a better room with a double bed, when he was informed of the situation. His conduct was professional and impeccable, but that of the first receptionist was less so.

Excellent location to visit Madrid city centre with its historic buildings, restaurants and parks. The room was very well-appointed. A bit cramped around the wardrobe area. Whole hotel was lovely with unique decor. Turn down service was a treat. The pool was not open in March - not sure we were made aware of that. Helpful, welcoming staff. Overall, certainly recommended.

Wardrobe area could have been better designed. Not sure that we were told that the pool would not be open.

We took a mezzanine room so had an upstairs lounge area which made it spacious. Lovely service and particularly enjoyed the upstairs bar area, and outdoor seating which was a great place to relax.

I would prefer not to have had music piped outdoors all day long as it is a nice place to sit and quietly read - music would be fine just in the evening.

Perfectly located - Hotel Urban is a splendid, modern and a stunningly well run property. We loved the Brigade - from the charming Housekeeping, front of house, bar, pool bar and leadership team. Quite spectacular - as was our suite. A perfect place to enjoy our New Year celebrations. Thank you!

The Philip Stark toilet flush - but in such an Hotel Urban way our ‘inconvenience’ was dealt with alacrity charm and efficiency! Thank you!
