The hotel is very nice. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Location is great - an easy walk to everything we wanted to do. Very comfortable room. it's on a busy pedestrian street but the soundproof shutters on the window blocked the sound from the street. The Batik restaurant also has great food.

As others have mentioned, there's a popular rooftop bar so it can be noisy at night. Try not to get a room on the 3rd floor (bar and restaurant is on the 4th floor). We were on the 2nd floor so it wasn't too bad.

The location is super good in the city center. Close to a small supermarket and taxi is always aavailble. Walkable distance to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

On the top of hotel, there is a club. It is a bit noisy also due to in the city center outside is also noisy. Also we were on vacation, so sometimes we woke up late and I took our time to get out of the room, around 14:00or 14:30. The cleanning lady couldn't come to clean our room. For us it is ok. But it is very strange one of the receptionist asked us to wake up earlier in order to clean the room... Which I feel super strange....

The location almost next door to the Alcazaba is excellent and the view from the restaurant, Batik, which also acts as the breakfast room is wonderful. They will cook eggs fresh to order for you at breakfast andcthe price was very reasonable. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff, as all through Andalucia, were friendly and helpful. Our room had a sofa bed which meant we had comfy seating too. There is a mini safe in the room. There are two tapas bars directly across from the hotel entrance - very handy!

The reception area isn't exactly encouraging, a stark area with a little alcove for the reception person. The five doors grouped together to get into the rooms was a bit off-putting and the room itself is kind of plain looking BUT the important things work. Depending on the type of person you are, the crowded pedestrian street outside the hotel entrance might not appeal but we found it simpatico as we sat outside a tapas bar with our wine :-) The 24 hour airport service turned out to be a taxi that reception ordered for us and was a lot more expensive than most taxis in Andalucia - we had to be at the airport at 0630 so it worked for us but if you have more flexibility, there are probably cheaper options.

The location is excellent, in the beating heart of the Old Town practically next to the Roman Theatre and Alcazaba. The room was spacious, clean and had plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was fantastic. There was a hairdryer attached to the wall. We had breakfast included, and this was enough to keep you going for the day and was served in the Batik restaurant on 4th floor with fab views of the Alcazaba and City. The rooftop bar was stunning, and non- residents queued to go up there every night. Felt much more than a 2 star.

Very minor points! This was only a 2 star hotel, so the facilities reflect this but I would have liked a kettle and mini bar. Also, a mirror over the dressing table would have been handy. These however did not detract from this being a very special hotel which we would return to in a heartbeat.

An excellent greeting from Marta on reception, we had previously stayed there in 2018. She was delighted to inform us that our bedroom request had been honoured. A comfortable superior room light and airy, freshly painted, very comfortable bed, windows overlooking the pedestrian area below. Alcazaba is located in a central location everything is within walking distance, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Cannot find fault.

The attractive hotel is on a pedestrianised street right at the centre of activity. As we were there for a film festival the proximity to the main cinema was a great bonus. It is also very close to a good variety of places to eat, and only a short walk from buses. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the staff were very helpful.

Not surprisingly the great location meant a lot of street noise into the early hours, and there was also hotel-related noise in the early morning. I the breakfast room all seating was on bar stools which is not good for the elderly and less mobile!!

Comfortable hotel on the eastern edge of the old town, between Plaza Merced and the Roman amphitheatre. Decent sized rooms with big comfortable beds and most with good views. Efficient aircon too, which was pretty essential for comfort on the hot early September night when we stayed. The roof terrace is an attraction in its own right - a seriously trendy venue for cocktails with a striking view over the floodlit Alcazaba and the amphitheatre, though too busy and noisy for us. One floor down is the lovely airy Batik restaurant where you can have the hotel’s excellent breakfast while looking at some pretty impressive views and roofscapes too. We particularly enjoyed the Greek yougurt and fresh berries before we tucked into our tostadas with cheese ham and tomato, fresh juice and coffee. Not the cheapest hotel we’ve stayed at in many many overnight stays in Malaga, but pretty good value for a nice hotel in a great locatio

Nothing - except perhaps it's a little pricey...

Great location and a very nicely proportioned, clean room. Lovely character building

The guests of the restaurant at the second last floor and the bar on the terrace are mostly not too loud when leaving late, but when the staff are cleaning the place at around 2am and dragging the chairs around the floor it is very hard to sleep. The hotel is on a busy street and Friday night party goers were pretty loud but the windows provide good sound protection (unless you are woken up by the restaurant cleaners from above)

Very good location. Our room was big and very comfortable, balcony with view of the Alcazaba, and quiet, but we could hear water running from some neighbour room. Breakfast room with a panoramic view.

The breakfast is quite restrictive, you can't have coffee and orange juice, you have to choose one or the other; you can't have eggs and yogurt, choose only one. I personally like buffet breakfast a lot better.

The room was clean and comfortable, the reception staff on check in and check out were very friendly and helpful. Service was second to none. The restaurant staff in the evening were absolutely great. Breakfast was nice and fresh apart from the omelette.

Being served a practically raw omelette twice at breakfast time. Breakfast should be made a buffet to save the only member of staff who took 45 minutes to serve a glass of orange juice. The shower in the room kept falling out of the holder whilst switched on.
